  1. Maybe, but its rediculous. There are guides for everything. If everybody knows the best and exact way to do everything what fun is the game. Even pking will become mindless clicking because everybody has read all the guides. I was looking through the archive of wisdom, (which had a f2p range guide btw) there are some decent guides there but most are stupid and useless. And there are like 5 copies of each guide, all saying the same thing. - A guide to cut down on runescape? All you do is not play it and do something else. - Fishing guide - basically they all say fish shrimp, then fish samon/trout, then fish lobs. If there is someone out there who isnt smart enough to figure it out themself, they shouldn't be trusted with a computer. This includes mining etc. - There is a guide to "being cool". Now if someone writes a GUIDE to bring cool, you can guarentee that they arent cool and their guide will be wrong anyway. When I saw this it reminded me of euro trip where the kid makes a guide to a party "you wanna see my artinary?" "you wanna see my b***s?" And Ive lost count of the amount of posts all saying "can i pk with these stats?" "what are good stats for pking?" "im making a pker what should i get?" The replies to these are always the same, which just so happen to be the stratagies in the 20 different pking guides which say the exact same thing. I wouldn't put this in rants, I would lose too many brain cells reading the critisism from the dimwits who took the "how to be cool" guide seriously.
  2. Does there have to be a guide for everything? People are asking help for stats, pking techniques, mining, fishing, training spots and almost everything else. Im almost expecting a guide for the best techniques on how to get from barbarians village to varrok. Does using the minimap or the main screen have the most effectiveness? I heard that clicking the third flower closest to the bridge makes you walk faster. Couldn't you just figure it out for yourself? Thats how the first players did it, and thats how the good players do it. Since im such a nice person, I spent the time making a guide especially for you. 1. choose a username 2. choose a password 3. choose your appearence 4. go through tutorial island 5. get arrows 6. get bows 7. kill things with your bow and arrows Do you want to know the best times to train as well? In terms of human effectiveness? I know some great stims you can get on the black market which increases your mouse-monster accuracy.
  3. Well it would put the price of coal, addy ore, mith ore, and the mith, steel, addy bars down. All of you worried about autoers, I have a way to stop autoers using it. When you cross, make it have an agility and strength minimum like you said, but also instead of just having a chance to fail, you have to get past a minigame type thing. A maze, made by logs in the water- but since the water is moving the logs move to so its completely random, and it changes while your trying to do it. So it will be difficult even for a player to do it, and would make it extremely hard to make a macro do it. It would be so hard, the one or 2 people who actually could do it wouldn't bother because it would be to complicated. Maybe at the end of the maze you get some kind of reward for your trouble.
  4. Lol, so many rediculous theories about what happens. Its runescape, it doesn't NEED to make sense. What happens to runes after you cast a spell? The stones disapear into thin air? How the hell can you turn a block of solid metal into a mace with a dinky little hammer? And some of the NPC drops... What a thief would be doing with a copper ore and a cabbage is beyond me.
  5. pokemama ur tip.it crew, Is there any chance of using my idea of merging posts? Ive mentioned it a couple times and nobody has really replied to it. Even if nobody knows how to code it, just rip it from somewhere else.
  6. Well Made0f12une your theory is a well thaught one, but you forgot about a couple things. The runescape economy is at a different level to the economy irl. Atm runescape money isnt worth enough. In classic money was harder to get, thus worth more. But in rs2 money is much easier to get. People are spending millions and millions at a time and thinking nothing of it. Now we all know about the huge gap between the rich and poor, so big its rediculous. We have the rares to thank for this. They are growing in price quickly, and soon there won't be enough money to pay for them, because it isn't worth enough. This gap is getting bigger and bigger every week. Eventually anyone without a rare, will not be able to afford a rare without paying in billions of gp worth of items which will be near impossible. Autoers mine/cut etc much more than legit players do. So even if autoers are stopped, and legit people mine or whatever to make up for them, it still will be nowhere near the amount autoers put into the economy. So again, raw materials will become cheaper, and money will become worth more.
  7. Its not the browser that crack into games. The word is crack not hack. And its a modified version of the client which injects its own code to the server. Not a browser.
  8. Lol, I didn't see. SMF is better anyway  Well it shouldn't be too hard for an admin to include post merging. Even if they ripped the code from somewhere else.
  9. Most forums have an option in the admin control panel. EDIT: I think these forums use SMF, if so im almost certain its in the control panel somewhere.
  10. anyway, back on topic. There are autoers everywhere, doing everything. In classic there were even autoers acting like a taxie service. a bunch of them walking back and forth between 2 cities. like lumb and varrock, and lumb and edge etc. People followed them, so they wouldn't have to keep clicking to get to the place they wanted to go. They even made it like a tour guide "on the left you will see autoers fishing, say hi everyone" "Here we are, hope you enjoyed the ride, have a nice day" Good times...

^^ this guy knows what he is talking about, follow that structure. Make sure you keep it neat and free of errors.
  12. Well there is a very easy way to stop double posting. Just merge them. If someone makes a double post, it still bumps the topic, but it merges both posts into one. = cleaner thread + no extra posts for the offender. Example:
  13. Is that the "stop my breathing and slit my throat, i must be emo. I dont jump around when I go to shows" etc? If so I put that in my assignment.
  14. Maybe they were just mad that he found out how to do it, and they couldnt :XD:
  15. How do you know the guy who told jagex duped? Runescape is full of weedy little dorks who think killing someone irl is ok, just as long as you don't break one of jagex's runescape rules. Sixfeetunder told 5 people, one of them leaked it so heaps of people knew how to do it. Maybe not every single one of them did use it.
  16. Lol Bmms it sounds like you heard it from somewhere but misunderstood it. They traded 0 phats, since that command is impossible to send with the normal rs client it got tricked, making it a stackable but still having 0 of them. The recieving side would get tricked into thinking there really was a phat, as it was up in the trade screen. So it wasnt really even duping, it was item creation.
  17. Ok, well as you might know, there is a certain type of autoer called a deob bot. These deob bots are a modified version of the runescape client. They get modified to read a script and do what it tells it to do. So part of a mining script would tell it to mine an ore by the id, the deob bot then passes this command onto the runescape server. So its basically sending the same commands as it would if you did it legitly, except it follows a script so it knows what to do. A guy known as sixfeetunder was mucking around with the first deob bot with the initials AR (the full name gets blocked both here, and in runescape) He accidently duped an item, by using AR to send a "trade 0 of this item" packet, by simply writing the script for it. The recieving side would get tricked into thinking there really was an item (because you cannot trade 0 items of anything with the legit rs client, jagex were caught off guard with deob bots and didn't expect this) He told 6 people, and one of them leaked it. He then duped thousands and thousands of phats and crackers giving them out. Apparently jagex offered a lifetime membership to whoever told them how it was being done (they couldn't figure it out themselves rofl, I don't see why they couldn't have checked the packet logs of the guys who did it- they knew who it was. It would be one of the first things I would do.), someone told them and got banned.
  18. Yes I should have done that, but I was going to use results as 'facts' rather than putting up an actual survey. I threw the questions together in about 2 minutes, hoping I could get a decent amount of replies in the couple hours I had left. I had to hand it in this morning. Did an absolutely terrible job because I ran out of time. I think I might have scraped a pass though.
  19. ^^ Most of your information is correct though. I just thaught I would add this: Months ago jagex put a "trap" into their client. A trap is something they use to stop deob botters (deob bots are explained in psudomorph's post) an example of which is the first trap jagex used. They stopped AR (the first deob bot) for a while using this. Every 45 clicks of a rock/tree/fish whatever, the legit client sent a secret packet. AR did not. So jagex knew who was autoing. A few days later kait caught on and changed AR so it send that packet. Jagex has put in many traps but I just thaught i would mention this one. They add useless stuff in the client. They have items that look like aprons and have names like "Double Helix" or a "9mm revolver". Heres another. public static String aStringArray809[] = { "attack", "defence", "strength", "hitpoints", "ranged", "prayer", "magic", "cooking", "woodcutting", "fletching", "fishing", "firemaking", "crafting", "smithing", "mining", "herblore", "agility", "thieving", "slayer", "farming", "runecraft", "yodelling", "hexediting", "-unused-", "-unused-" }; In the client it has a list of all the skills such as mining, strength etc (obviously) that get called on to show up on the screen when you play. Jagex added 2 more skills, one was "hex editing" and the other was "yodelling" The idea of the trap was basically that the bot would not declare these new fake "skills." But it wasn't as much of as an affective trap as a little joke they had with the cheating communities. A while ago they also put a piece of ip ban coding to scare autoers lolz if(k == 26) { aString881 = "This computers address has been blocked"; aString882 = "as it was used to break our rules"; return; } They spelt it wrong too rofl, its ment to be "This computer's address....."
  20. Ok the assignment is due tomorrow, but I thaught I might add a survey if i get enough replies in the next couple hours. All I want from anyone is 1 2 or 3. If you feel you have to post an "other" which could help me/you just want to post it, could you please keep it short and simple. I have kept the poll simple for a reason. The question is, have you been affected negatively by emo/emo music? 1: Yes, Personally. EG: "I used to but I don't now, it gave me a bad point of view in life but im through that 'phase.' " 2: Yes, Not personally. EG: "My friends turned emo and I don't feel as close to them anymore because I don't want to hang around them" 3: NO, I have never thaught badly of life whilst listening to that music, and never been affected negativly by it. Thankyou. -And to the mod who locked my other topic, I made a new one hoping to get more people reading/more people voting. I was planning on getting the results within an hour and requesting it gets deleted. Nobody is voting though so it looks like I will have to give the survey a miss.
  21. This is what he is talking about http://img181.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... ledbr1.png If you post twice in a row, the 2 posts merge together. I blacked out part of it to keep it G rated. And im pretty sure that even if you make double posts merged, it still bumps the post. It could help keep these forums cleaner, ive seen lots of double posting. btw the posts from this guy are halarious OMG I BROKES TEH INTERNET!!!1111111
  22. psudomorph the colour changing thing started with the new game engine months ago, and it has been bypassed easily. Colour clickers have autocolours and tolorences in the colours they look for. tolorences: Each colour has a number, a colour clicker looks for a colour via the number, but also looks for any colours with numbers close to it. Autocolour: Basically the script finds the location its suposed to be clicking, and autoupdates the colour in the script itself. And pattern detection? In a good script, absolutly everything is randomised, they have functions like Wait(1585+Random(5092)); That basically means wait 1.585 seconds, plus a random amount of seconds betwen 1 and 5.092 before clicking the next rock or whatever. Autoers know most of jagex's detection systems, not all of them but most. Heck, even I know plenty of jagex's methods just from experiments, talking to people and looking through the client. And deob bots last more than 3 days, more like a week, and they constantly make new accounts so when an autoers group of 20 or so accounts get banned they already have 20 more to start autoing.
  23. ^^ Before I read that I guessed its night, window is see through and the white are stars
