Yes it does happen altough most of the time it's an add-up of small amounts from collectors/crafters/other merchanters/people who clean their banks/... @davey: I managed to sell my 400k balls of wool within 3 days so I guess there is a pretty good market for it. :

Haz: Well I suggest just buying the max you can, the GE won't allow you to buy more than a certain percentage of the total amount of the item traded, for wool it is about 40k wool a day. Ajk: It's how the game works, as I mentioned above there are a few systems in the GE to prevent complete price manipulation so the ge keeps working and people can use this method to make money :

Hi, this is a basic guide on 'hoarding' items, I used this technique to gain 2M in 10 days with almost no work. I did it with balls of wool but you may also choose another item altough balls of wool are excellent to price manipulate trough the GE (relative small amounts of the item traded, stable GE graph, low price). How-To: 1. Buy a vast amount of the item at max price in the ge (I bought 40k balls of wool a day for example), this will make the price rise the next day 2. Buy again large amounts of the item at the new max price in the ge, this will push the price up even further 3. Continue step two every day for a few days (I suggest 7 days), you will notice the price going up each day. 4. Finally stop buying the item and wait for the next GE price update, the price should rise a final time. 5. Start selling your items at mid or max GE price, depends on the item and the demand for it. Tip1: Remember there is a 4-hour waiting period between selling and buying an item. Tip2: Use low-value items (under 20gp), the relative price raise will be the highest because the minimum raise on the GE is 1gp, for a 10gp item that is 10% a day! . Tip3: Merchanting like this doesn't take up allot of time, you can do this in 30 secs each day. I made balls of wool go from 11 to 21 gp (190%), this gave me a nice free 2M. I use it allot and if you don't got a high summoning level (like me) guthans is definatly worth it for doing slayer.

Done Today: - Finished Greater Demon assignment: got a rune full helm & lvl 3 clue - Doing a herb farm round - Getting new assignment: 60 steel dragons To Do: - Make pray pots to use & gain a herblore level (56!) - killing those dragons - doing clue (lvl 3)

I'll be able to play 3-4 hours today, done working and my girlfriend isn't coming over or calling cus she hast to werk herself... - Finished my Black demon task and gained another 15 points (45 now), getting closer to the slayer helmet. Doing Greaters now again. - Done Tears of Guthix wich gained me a summoning level (altough I only had 71 tears, always get bad luck there :( ). I'll just be slaying till I get the charms for 52 summoning (about 200 more crimsons) and then use them all at once. - Doing two ranarr farming runs today (5 patches each time)

² Did those till 79 smithing on f2p. Costed about 12 gp/xp (over a year ago so dunno about now but probably less since coal has dropped).

Why don't you just use the runescape client? Works like a charm...

Hi all, it has been almost 7 months since my last post here so.... I'M BACK! Got my membership renewed after testing out rs again after a loooong time, I really like the new HD mode and bank update, also summoning is new to me, have allot of work to do but I know I can do it : Already got a herblore level (55), farming level (54) and slayer level today, only got a pic of the last one . I'll keep this blog updated whenever I play rs, mostly just to keep track of my own progress. Cleaned the whole blog from old pics/monster drops/clues/level-ups/... to be able to do that. I won't be coming on rs that much since I still got a job this vacation for two more weeks where I have to start at 06:20 and work untill aprox. 16:00 (sometimes a bit earlier or a bit later). I also got a girlfriend who I visit (and she also visits me offcourse) as much as I can so rs isn't really top priority right now in my life but I like to play it for a few minutes/hours a day to relax myself even if it is just merchanting some stuff on the ge for 5 minutes a day (made some nice profit by doing that the last week :thumbsup: ). more soon...

A good place would be the lava maze I guess, just south of the rocks, you can get there by going trough an area with some low lvl monsters like bandits and moss giants (be sure to bring a sharp weapon to cut a spider web). I don't exactly know about the whole outfit but definatly green dhide vambs/champs/body + maybe a wizards hat/anti-dfire shield?

The only way I can see this work is trough using scouts to check for revenants, I tried mining rune on p2p and even there the will just kill you if you keep mining (with pray and full black dhide), running away all the time ain't that nice... I suggest you give it a try, if you can avoid revenants it's a good money maker in f2p (I used to make about 300-400k an hour by doing that)
