  1. There's 2 numbers #1, the time it takes to heal after you click with 20+ spec bar - 2-3 seconds #2, the time it takes to recharge 15 (20 REQUIRED FOR A HEAL) on the spec bar: 30 seconds after you last healed. So it's best to heal right after the spec bar recharges 15, so you can heal once every 35 seconds or so.
  2. It's all well and good that you can do herb runs or whatever to earn money, but you simply can't factor those in. If you want to, well, I make around 600k from GE merching + 100k from herbs an hour so: Armored Zombies: 980k profit, 103k XP Slayer: ~50k? profit, 65k XP We're talking about slayer, not herb farming. Trying to say you 'break even' with slayer just because your earning money some other way is inane.
  3. Here's one idea: Do yourself a favor and try testing things before making grand proclamations. AGS spec is much more accurate then a normal hit; ANYONE who has ever used AGS, even for a short time, can attest to that. Normal hits hit maybe once every 5-6 times; the special hits around half the time. D claws has an even stronger effect. Notice how they hit 4 times instead of the regular once? It's a cool thing Jagex put in, a 'special' attack that hits far harder and more accurately then the regular attack. Now, having tested these two weapons longer then you've spent training combat your entire rs carrier, I can with assurance say that dragon claws are indeed more accurate then an armadyl godsword.
  4. Good, glad to know you (finally) see the light. Now, as I was saying several pages before, slayer training cannoning every task possible, using piety and a summon etc. etc. actually loses money - and still receives WORSE combat XP then armored zombies. This leads me to believe that it is impossible to cite slayer as the 'best' or indeed, anywhere close to the best, combat training method - despite sweeping statements to the contrary by certain unenlightened folks.
  5. How much testing have you done? If it's only a few hours worth, that might be why :P
  6. Wow, you're the first person to completely and totally understand what I'm trying to say! Congratulations, sir! You win at least three internets! Thanks! I hope you this helped you understand that you cannot factor in extra earning rates not associated with a skill and trumpet it as 'profit'.
  7. Yup, also known as sweatshops
  8. I guess this means I can include my merching profits in my slayer numbers. Wow, I'm making over 800k an hour while slaying! Slayer is obvoiusly the most profitable skill in RS! Sorry I ever disagreed with you! Oh, and I'm making money from MTK, too! I only got 20k slayer XP (in a little over an hour) but I made over 2m from MTK in the last couple weeks! Thats almost 2m an hour!!! wow, slayer owns!
  9. I don't recall you posting any pictures of your tests. I'd estimate around 50 hours on no armor, 30 hours on rune, at least 70 on 99 defence, every single type of armor. That's simply not true. D claws are far more accurate then AGS; AGS misses around 60% of the time on a tank, d claws less then 20.
  10. Then you must not have seen much. Melee hits about 1 in 10 on heavy armor, mage misses about 1 in 10. A hundredfold difference. Think before you speak.
  11. Woah, woah, woah. Since when did herb runs have anything to do with slayer? EVERY task you cannon + piety WILL lose money - when your cannoning almost all of your tasks, your taking a significant loss.
  12. I meant you messed up in your calculations, you basically confused yourself and got lost. The bottom line is that with a HIGHER attack and a HIGHER strength, whip mathematically beats godsword in every way. Why don't you tell me where I messed up? Ive used the LOWER bonuses from the whip to show why the higher accuracy sometimes is better then the higher speed from the whip. And I'm saying you ended up proving the already proven. The whip has HIGHER accuracy and HIGHER strength. You were using MY numbers, and there is NO way to make the godsword look better mathematically.
  13. I don't think they updated Karil's max damage/frequency, They only gave him the abilty to acually use his set effect, which was rather pointless IMO. They did, he turned evil. 99 defence + sara brews + piety + torags stop him, though.
  14. Err, that's nice. Take a look at your avatar for an example of a weapon that hits higher then that without the 20% boost. Of course, it gets it anyway, so it pretty much wrecks it. Why are you just posting random pictures of high hits? I've already proven both range AND mage superior, feel free to post against those. It has little or nothing to do with max hit. Not at all. An equally leveled mage or range will take down a meleer without a problem. That would imply that Jagex doesn't favor melee, especially beings they haven't gotten a non-speccing weapon update in almost 4 years.
  15. Hey there again, I put numbers on page 25 or so, not doing it again. I train slayer with super sets and piety. I profit a lot. Err... I never saw any of your numbers on 25. Perhaps you should repost them. And yes, you can still make a terrible (40-50k) profit with piety, but you need to cannon for full efficiency - and you will not make any significant profit overall. Sorry, but that's just not true. I slay at full efficiency. I use piety, a cannon, and a combat familiar at ALL times when possible and applicable. I almost never use a Bunyip. I play 100% attention, and I do all of the little things that add up in the long run, such as picking up drops between hits, and attacking multiple monsters. I make a very noticeable profit, and I can get a pretty damn good amount of Slayer experience per hour for my levels. I can't imagine what you're doing wrong if you're making such a small profit. Not only do you save TONS of time in which to make more money, but you DO make a lot of cash if you're slaying as fast as you can. Deux cent quatre-vignt-sept. Then go ahead and post some of the numbers you were talking about. I can't do anything about vague generalizations like 'making a lot of cash while slaying as fast as you can'. It sounds like another 1.5k per waterfiend thing to me.
  16. It's roughly 110k XP with a good summon, albeit at a fairly high cost, all mentioned in my first post. I really don't know what on earth he is talking about :?
  17. For talking about it in non-rs forums? Not discussing glitches? Not a chance.
  18. Heaven. Yeah, I'm religious. Don't draw me into this topic please, off topic, I'll kindly stick to my mathematical runescape arguments that I can win :? Would you rather be able to fly, or have the ability to read people's minds?
  19. Fun is realities. But what could make a godsword 'funner'? Here's what I've come up with: Pros: Higher hits More respect Cons: You get owned by whip people Get less XP Spend lots of money on a worthless, dropping item
  20. Your arguments: Price (Godsword loses, your trying to say it isn't a big deal) XP (You haven't tested it, but you *think* godsword is close. I HAVE tested it, and it's nowhere close) Fun (Nothing can be proved; if you find spending more to get less XP fun, so be it) Wow. [hide=]There needs to be some sort of age requirement on tip.it. Say, anyone under 10 would be removed.[/hide]
  21. scimitar because it can hit 3 hits when longsword hits 2. The hits will add up like 300 hits to 200. Dragon longswords are not that slow... Dragon scimitar vs. Longsword is just more of a personal preference. There will always be people who hate scimitars and ones that loath longswords. I used to use a longsword but now I have a scimitar just to shut up all the people that tell me off whenever I use a longsword. They're almost equal in my opinion. Unfortunately, this isn't an opinion based discussion. Dragon scimitar gets more XP and does more damage in every situation. Game over. Non negotiable. 'Personal Preference' doesn't apply, unless you want to get less XP for a (cooler?) looking sword.
  22. Err.. what? Armored zombies have an altar right next to them, and drop 190k worth of drops per hour.
  23. Ok, look. First off: #1, the game isn't written in Javascript #2, there's this wonderful thing called a 'sandbox' that allows JAR files to be executed without being able to affect anything outside of what they are allowed to (http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/security/) #3, how on earth would the 'magic code' for 'injecting' a virus while the game is loading work?
  24. I meant you messed up in your calculations, you basically confused yourself and got lost. The bottom line is that with a HIGHER attack and a HIGHER strength, whip mathematically beats godsword in every way.
  25. But you messed up your numbers. The fact is, whip has HIGHER accuracy and HIGHER strength. Any way you look at it mathematically shows the whip to be significantly better.
