That's true, some of us (like me) chose to train slayer. I'm just saying that it's worse XP, an indisputable fact :)

I'm still rooting for stabilizing price at or above AGS. Reasons: AGS is worthless outside of spec, like d claws. Claws are harder to get then AGS. Claws spec massacres AGS. The only remaining factor keeping claws from costing 4x as much as AGS is misinformed people who believe AGS is better then whip+defender for PVP\boss hunts.

Gratz, now start training range and mage and you'll learn a few things about them too. Melee is supposed to beat range. Currently, melee can spec twice with dragon claws and hope for a KO, which they probably won't get against rangers huge slash bonus, then spend the rest of the fight eating like crazy to make up for ranges constant, accurate hits.

The day RS died, how much of this debate have you actually read? Obviously not much; all of the factors you discussed (and far, far, FAR) more were completely proven to be false. Me and ydraisel ended on an agreement - if you count all XP, slayer gets ~3k XP more (but with far less profit), AND it STILL sucks for combat XP - the entire point of my first post.

FTP has already been discussed, and this isn't what the author is talking about. As for general usage, you've NEVER seen anyone tele from or to a boss, or in regular RS usage? Never seen anyone high alch? Never seen anyone use a teletab? I think you should be a bit more observant. Now, as I was saying, regular mage is for everday usage spells with a bit of cheap combat spells thrown in; ancients are for PKing. Virtually anyone in PVP can do DT, it requires ~60 combat and 11 prayer.

When there's nothing tied to losing except what you picked, any time you change your inventory in any way it totally changes it. What if I protect my granite shield, stole, and archer helm because I'm in welfare gear, then go on another trip with bandos and forget to change my protected items? Too easy to mess up IMHO.

Noob = annoying person. If someone annoys you in any way, they are a 'noob'. It's lost that much meaning. Any time you do something the other person doesn't like, thus annoying them, they call you a noob. Newb and noob are totally seperate. That being said, the best way to deal with it is to say 'k' then put them on your ignore list. With no reaction they soon stop.

High alch price was around before Jagex had a GE price to tie items too, they could probably do the same thing now, but what about rare, untradable quest items? I'm not sure how a 'pick your own items on death' would work. Say you go to sara soloing and pick your DFS, fury, and armadyl top to keep. Then you get a hilt - but on the next kill you lag and die. What do you keep?

What? Regular mage has teleblock etc, invaluable for low level PKing in combination with an ancients friend. Besides, the whole 'one spell book is underpowered for pking' thing is bogus. Regular mage is designed for all around usage, ancients are for PKing. It's like saying that melee is absurdly underpowered when using a rubber chicken.

Broad bolts are weaker then addy, roughly equivalent to mithril but at a slightly lower cost. Usually best for training.

Vista is safer, easier to use, faster in day to day usage and stabler then XP. Plus it fully supports SSDs. Anyway, a GeForce 7100 should be able to handle it decently; it depends on the resolution\settings. Monitors are computer independent; so long as your computer can output to your monitors input (Usually VGA), your fine.

It is only weak when it is used incorrectly. Used correctly, a mage can take down melee or range with ease, taking little or no damage. It could use a nerf in my opinion.
