  1. P2P offers more and better ways of making money than f2p. That's one of the cons you just have to play with if you don't feel like having 1 bigmac meal less per month.
  2. Mining is pretty much the only skill that hasn't had an update during rs2 times that would actually help training it. We've gotten few lazy mining areas but that's it. Only fm is another that hasn't had a helpful or a big update yet. Hunter = implings Rc = abyss smith = smith/smelt-x cook = cook-x fishing = monkfish construction = item storage room, crystal saw Prayer = ecto, altar, dagannoth bones, ogre bones thieving = pyramid plunder, gloves of silence (or whatever they were) slayer = dark beast, later unique drop for them farming = fertile soil lunar spell, magic secateurs Woodcutting = dragon axe fletch = fletch-x magic = ancients, lunars crafting = onyx, bracelets ranged = red chinchompa farming = sara brews, farming, new ways to get bird nests fast agility = new course 2 times a year melee skills = new weapons, armours, etc. When I look at the updates other skills have gotten, I don't think dragon pickaxe would be that bad update. Mining already is somewhat forgotten skill and almost the only skill that hasn't had a real update. Also a new pickaxe wouldn't make it that much easier. However it would make it less irritating to train. I also don't see a reason why it should stay one of the hardest skills (it isn't the hardest btw) to train.
  3. Money is now a lot easier to make than 2, 3 or 4 years ago. No matter do you start from scratch or have some skills already. Few reasons why money making gets easier: * Nature runes require 44 runecrafting. That takes you around 1 day to get if you work hard. Because of high alching there's huge demand for some so getting rid of them isn't too hard either. * Woodcutting requires almost no clicking at all. Yew and especially magic logs got really good demand. Getting level high enough for yews might take a couple of days, but it isn't that hard work. The list goes on. Moneymaking is easy as long as you know which ways to use. You can always hide behind the excuses that "I don't have..." or "It is..." but face the truth: money making is easy, the only thing that slows your moneymaking can be found when you watch at the mirror.
  4. If more people started to smith steel, the price per bar would go up temporary as the demand rose. However the supply would also take a jump as more people would go after easy cash by smelting steel. Eventually the demand and supply would meet again. If more people started to smelt steel and the amount of buyers stayed at current, the steel bar prices would fall as the demand would be lower than the supply. Mithril isn't used for few reasons. The cost of making 1 mithril bar is so high that their price can't be low enough to compete against steel. Currently it is cheaper for both sides to make steel instead of mith, so their demand isn't too high. Only some rich smithers use them to level faster, but the main ways to level are still steel bars, gold smelthing (with gauntlets) and in some cases iron bars. The only way how mith bars could become competitive would be either: 1) require less than 4 coals per bar 2) have a higher high alch price than 3120/plate. However these most likely won't change, so we'll see high mithril bar prices in future too and not too many people buying them.
  5. 12.6.2007 I promised some speed and here it is. See how the xp magically just rises. All the expensive seeds are now paying back in mega-xp. Currently got 98 farm banked in good seeds (shouldn't take too long!) and as some of you already know, I was the first one ever to get a dark bow. Made an easy 50m out of it. Dunno how much will I invest on farming, tho. There would be other nice skills to train too...
  6. Google for maoism, that's what the Chinese people follow/followed. Pick up the right verb if you want to call the current system with open rather liberal marketing system "maoism". Note: Your dear Mao managed to kill tens of millions more than Stalin and Hitler did together.
  7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gay_bomb Sry rocketman089, missed your point  Anyways if we go into the "American fascism", we see there a lot of similarities in their current societ to the "true fascist society". If a fascist party somehow got the power, there most likely wouldn't even be any too dramatical chances in USA :P
  8. I didn't say they won any wars. I just pointed out another facts. However as you already put those words into my mouth, I gotta point out the Spain civil war.
  9. Did you know that national socialism is different to facism, even tho they are sadly now used as synonyms. First national socialist parties came before 1900s and the word facism was first time used few decades after that. Note that Hitler did not invent national socialism as far too many tend to believe. Did you know that the "communist" regime managed to kill at least tens, probably hundreds of millions people more than the radical rightwing parties. Stalin 20-60m (source) Mao 40-70m (wikipedia) Pol Pot 25-33% of his own nation The list is endless. http://www.gmu.edu/departments/economic ... qframe.htm btw....
  10. 49 whips dark bow (first ever, sold for 50m) dragon chain dragon skirt 5x dragon axe shield half ~10 dragon meds (includes rsc when they were worth somthing)
  11. No1 would alone massmine anything: many of them would come to the game around the same time. No matter what way it was gotten (unless by anew skill), it could be gotten by so many that no1 could abuse it. Second, it most likely wouldn't be THAT powerful. The demand and supply meet quite well in mining now. Because of high level prices the price of ores isn't too low and the number of miners keep the prices low enough. A new pickaxe wouldn't most likely affect to ore prices at all, it would just make this skill a bit easier.
  12. As you can see, I haven't taken that pic. I don't know the details of it.
  13. Did I hear the letters K and O :o
  14. We got around 3k players who can get dark bows and around 500-600k who can get robins.
  15. The saved time might be worth it, tho. 10m extra investment isn't much when you compare it to what people use on red chinchompas for example.
  16. Slower, but not so much that the doubleshot wouldn't make it worth to use. Even if it it takes 3mbs shoots to shoot 2 with dark bow, the dark bow has shot more arrows. Add that to the fact that it's stronger and you get a good item for range training. This means it hits 30%/50% more with specials than on normal. Even with rune arrows and without spec it's better than MSB. Dragon arrows are a good extra for pkers and stakers, the bow itself works well for training too.
  17. I already made 50m from mine before this thread was posted. I'm pointing out the facts and trying to explain people why this bow doesn't fall to what they dream of. Not to mention my bank's worth so much (not just in raw cash) that I couldn't care less in a long run if the bow price was 1m here or there. When you look at its speed, you forget that it shoots two arrows at once. Add that to the fact that it's stronger than msb and you get the reason why it's better even in training than msb. The doubleshot and extra power are worth the slower shot time xp wise + the ability to ko anyone from over 50% hp makes it a dream to pkers, especially mid-leveled archers.
  18. With this special and hitting 2 arrows at once, there's no doubt what is the best bow out there. Add that to high gen store price (protect item) and you get a perfect range pkin toy. Also the cost of killing them isn't just immaterial. They aren't fun to kill, killing them cost and they only got 1 drop which we'd hunt. Before bows they were empty and if the bows drop under the whip price, they will be empty again.
  19. He's not the only one to realise they aren't 1/40. If they were, we'd hear "w00t bow" in every 5mins at beasts. Second, like he said they can't fall below the whip or they won't be hunted. They aren't that great for hunter task, the drop rate seems to be almost the same as whip and the cost of killing those is higher than at abbys. It also requires 5 levels (over 2m xp) more than whips.
  20. Don't forget the fact that abbys are half free to kill with normal armours and switching to guthans every now and then, dark beasts require either prayer or guthan all the time. That adds to the cost of getting the bow.
  21. It's the best bow out there, has wicked pk abilities, great for training and good for staking. It also requires 90 slayer to be gotten. High demand there, somewhat small supply-> No, it won't be anywhere near 300k for ages unless we get even a better bow or it gets nerfed. Who? People with 32 slayer?
  22. Nothing earth shaking there except the first dragon bow drop ever.
