  1. Only things that can be somewhat stable are items that can be produced in masses and that are already so low that you can think wether to alch it or sell for a small profit. Good examples are complete bows and many rune items. Raw materials might swing because of updates, but they won't get at least any higher than they currently are if we don't get any dramatic updates, pure ess was like this. Iron ore price could change a lot in no time: we'd just need a mining/smithing update (new ore? new ways to train?) and there it would be. For scimitar the price could drop and demand really dive if we got a new weapon which had str option and was more powerful or had same stats but wouldn't require a long and hard quest. Key halves could pop up if new item(s) was added to the chest or we got new jewelry which requires a dragonstone, were useful and you should stock up them like glories.
  2. Last time there was pride in having high melee skills during rsc and first months of rs2.

But we could be heading to it if things keep going like this.

Doesn't really matter which way do you shoot them, bet they got missiles aimed from east to west and from north to south.
  5. There could be more, those are just the ones I know for a fact. You could also count Weak Algar as one, even tho he's few xp's away from it.
  6. I personally feel like it's worth it to have a high combat level. It's not too hard to train, it's really useful and it also looks good. I'm rather lvl 126 with a skill cape than a lvl 70 with the same one. It might look good on a lvl 70, but I and many others know that it takes a lot more time to get 126 combat + 99 in skill X than 70 combat + that lvl 99. Anyways my point is to do what you feel like doing. If you like mining, be my guest. If you like pc, go to pc.

Certain European countries are, not even close to all. However this kind of shield is a threat to pretty much all the European cities, if not directly from the nukes explosing in their space, it would at least cause massice economical disasters. Also the distance doesn't really matter: google how was the missiles can fly and count the time you got t to react. It adds some time, but it's still so small time you got to react. Also if this kind of a shield was built, they'd just shoot shoot it from their eastern parts or launch a bigger punch of missiles. It's not a real wonder why the russians are now on their toes. Defence is the best attack (and visa versa), the less you can be hurt the more you can hurt. Also knowing the Russian imperialism and how they are slowly trying to regain some of the power they lost, I'd rather now make real allies with them than poke them with sharp sticks this way.
  8. Hmm.... Here's a straight quote... If you ask me, RS "market place" fills that explanation more than well. If you got something more to add, be my quest.

The point is that when the situation goes into cold war, we're close to a hot war. There were many points during the first cold war when it was really close to turn into a hot. We were lucky not to see that, but I wouldn't risk again. The stakes are just too high for that. Aiming missiles is the first step, building more is 2nd and in 3rd they have been launched. We're now on step 1 and step 3 is something you really don't want to think. Also comparing the communist Soviet Union to a somewhat liberal (at least when compared to SU) Russia in the fields of economy is a bit wrong. At the moment Russia is an important gas bringer for some European countries and if their plans go right, they're soon controlling the Europe's power market. They can still target America. No shield can stop them. They got enough nukes to destroy this whole planet many times, good luck on stopping that arsenal. One excuse for the shield is that it would stop the first strike and give time for massive retaliation. Russian or Chinese generals aren't stupid tho, so if the shield was build and seen to work, they'd just blast enough nukes to blow off the whole North-America.

Same reason why during the last cold war they just kept making more and more weapons of mass destruction. All the time you want to be a head of your enemy even tho you know that will just force it to catch you. To add protection, you need something to protect against: this is what Russia probably sees as a threat. The best possibility would be reducing nuclear weapons from both sides, not trying just to defend against them. You can't win them by any shields: add one to Prague and they'll bomb whole Europe if needed. No shield is strong enough against those weapons. North Korea isn't directly a threat to USA: their missile technology isn't that superior when compared to Russia for example, they don't have many nuclear weapons and so on. Also if it was against Iran's strike to Europe, why to build it to places which they are planning? Spain or France would make a lot more sense. Also they should have done it with Russia in that case: Russia got a lot of money hold in the middle Europe (selling gas for example) so they most likely wouldn't like to see Berlin, Prague and Paris suffering.... At least not too much. Anyways if you ask me, this kind of shield systems are just a waste of money. The explosion will happen anyways and with this kind of shields they'd just infect other important places. Bet Berlin wouldn't like to get too much radioactive stuff from a missile which was aimed to London. Also all shields can be passed: just bomb the shield with few nukes and voilÃÆÃâÃâá: no shield.

As some of you might have noticed, USA is planning to build missile defence facilities. Building this kind of buildings to places which are really close to the Russian boarder is a straight threat towards them and now Putin has officially stated (source: BBC ) that if these bases are built, Russia will aim their missiles to certain points in Europe. This would be the first time after the end of the Cold War they'd have missiles pointing to Europe. If the real case now started, it wouldn't really matter are they aimed to these places or not: the major places could be destroyed quickly. The problem is more symbolical: are we acting in a way that's too offensive? Even tho all European countries can do their own defensive moves and as part of the NATO these countries have the rights to do whatever they want. However EU could show some power here. This puts Europe under a threat: if USA for some reason got into war against Russia or China, Europe would get some fire as the enemy would need to destroy these bases too. Also they'd tie certain countries more into USA which wouldn't look too good at the eyes of certain terrorist groups. Russia has already gained a lot of its power with Putin's reign. However without any law modifications he can't serve 3rd term and some extreme political groups have gained a lot of power there. Add that to these bases, how they acted during the Estonian chrisis and how they've lately threatened George and Ukraine. Scary soup there coming. Also Gorbachev who is known for example for many anti-nuclear weapon statements is now putting criticism for the US empire.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6717037.stm Btw the bases are resisted by around 95% of the people who live in villages near the places where USA would build their bases. This was an actual vote, not just some reporter asking 42 people how do they feel about this. Is this democracy? Ok, small villages but still, it's percentually so huge majority that in a democractic society it should be noticed and the plans should be thought again. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6463463.stm
  12. :o so it was 99 mining, not 23 farming
  13. Could always go with controlled, tho.
  14. Seen both live :P Yea they are good but not anything great yet. Both are somewhat new bands that are talented but haven't yet done THE albums.
  15. The dark beast update sounds really sweet and combines 3 things that should be fixed: * Dark beasts got a drop which makes them worth killing. * Hunter gets an update which at last (well, the wait wasn't THAT long) gives some higher lvl stuff too. * Archers get new and powerful items. Gonna be interesting to see how this update will affect to staking and pkin. Hopefully the arrows and darts will be somewhat easy to get so their prices don't go too high. If it goes, the amount of people who could use the bow reduces a lot. Not really point pkin with arrows worth thousands of gp's per. Also the high alch price and stats of the bow affect: will it stay when you die with full black dragons, is dds worth more and so on. If the stats are right and you can protect it while wearing decent items, it could used in pkin even with rune arrows.

Things that could affect: * Your connection. Play with a modem and dl loads of stuff same time and you will face some slowdowns. * How much ram do you have? * Are your drivers (graphic card, java, etc) all up to date? * Do you have heavy programs running at the backround? Also it really doesn't matter when did you buy your comp. A brand new comp could be worse at all sectors than few years old. The main thing is that what is inside your "box". Btw wanna tell me which OS has totally no bugs and can run RS? I definately wanna test that :P
  17. Zonghui 3, hope this question was a joke :P Sandytrain, followed by Alchemon.
  18. 31.5.2007 Been pretty stable at the hiscores. In the other words it means lack of training. The reason for this is simple: I've been doing dagannoth kings with one mate for few days. This means less attention paid on herbs and thus this kind of affect to the xp. Oh well at least I now can say I got a dk partner I can trust and I know I can actually kill them. Still got little things to practice and work on food:pot ratio. Anyways this fun way of making cash might pay back in future: who knows what will happen after few good drops ;) I also started a new blog on my whole rs things (all levels, clues, drops, etc) but it didn't really take air under its wings. Maybe I'll just stick with this one... Anyways it was nice to see some people have bothered to reply to my farming guide. After all I wrote that guide to you. This is more personal thing to motivate myself, but that guide is to attract more people to this beautiful skill. However 97 is so close that it's almost scary. I could get it tomorrow (or today as it's over midnight here already) but I just don't feel like buying tree seeds now: bought full guthans today and some other junk too. I also don't have any hurry to get 97: my goal is 99 and 97 is just one step to it which I have to take.
  19. The point really isn't can you do the same as they did, the point is do you agree it was right what they did.
  20. I've seen with my own eyes what happens in this world, not just inside the their boarders. I don't need to go to New york to see how USA is doing their imperialistic doings in Iraq. I don't need to go to Los Angeles to be able to compare it how media reacts when "we" do something and when "they" do something. Second, I never said I hate USA. I'm against their international politics and I don't agree with some of their domestic things (which don't belong to me, btw) but I got even half-american (both USA and Finnish passports) real life friends.
  21. Not really changed. Still same basics: grow watermelons for super compost or grow strawberries for slayer training food if I don't have watermelon seeds, grow herbs and do some random fruit tree and tree seeds. Only thing that has changed is that I now know when to bank and when not, get more xp per product (magic tree > willow tree) and I don't anymore do specials for extra xp like I did in low 50s when I still got no real tactics.
  22. http://hrw.org/english/docs/2004/01/09/usdom6917.htm http://news.amnesty.org/index/ENGAMR511002005 We could get you loads of more links. Yea you can protect your people with mindless arrests, even Stalin knew that. I don't need to live there to see what's wrong. Sure does, we can vote too. The thing is that our political scene isn't just divided to liberals and democrats, we got a multiparty system, the biggest amount of mep's in whole western world when compared to the amount of people living in our country, the first country where women had same laws on voting as men and so on. Btw when did you last time vote?
  23. Or they are just thrown into one of the "jails" which are totally against all human rights :P
  24. Swastika has been used by many different cultures all around the world. Some got points in it, some is in 45̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâôankle and so on. Heck, even Finnish air forces used it before even NSDAP was found. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika
