  1. It's just a matter of time. More and more sets come every day, people don't use them forever and sell to others, etc. Eventually it will drop to 4m, maybe less.
  2. Never :P I counted how many herbs I got per seed for over 1300 herb seeds, that took hell of a lot of time =P~
  3. Yea he is. Not too active poster, but still.
  4. Santas will most likely take a jump at some time of the summer. Probably not a huge jump to the stars, but still rise a bit. I believe this because discontinued items follow the player choices a lot: by the summer most of the mid leveled members should have gotten their first skill cape, we've gotten more potential f2p and p2p buyers and people got time to make cash at their summer vacations. Furies will be around the current price unless we get another way to get onyx cheaper. It got the same curse as runite armour: it can't drop as there's a solid buying price (=onyx price vs runite high alch price) but it's too common already to take any jumps up. Dunno what kind of a fetish do you have on chains :P When they announced the graphical kq update, you started to preach how they'll drop. My on guess is that without any new plate bodies added to the game, the price will still be around 10m after the summer. If we get new plate armours, the price of dc depends on few factors: level&quest reqs, way it's gotten, what it looks like and what stats does it have. 3rd age is interesting. They are really useful for stakers and for people who stake over 100m at once it's nothing to buy those. The demand for them is small (=limited) but with their current supply, their fall won't be anything big. At barrows I totally agree with you.
  5. At the moment we got a bit over 200 players with 99 farming. Only construction and herblore got less peope with the maxed level. I wouldn't really say many high lvl players are hungry for 99. Farming is by far the slowest skill to level in whole game. In all other skills you can make more xp in 1 day than in farming. No matter how you train it, it's the slowest. If you wanna make it with somewhat ok loss or even make profit out of it, you'll get around 1/5 of the xp in one hour that can be done in prayer in 1 hour. There's one reason why farming isn't really liked. Add that to constant trading and voilÃÆÃâÃâá.
  6. Almost every western country would have most of the materials or at least the ability to build them if they wanted to. I'd like to get a source to tell how close where they now and what kinds of materials were found. Also what about Israel for example? They've also broken many human rights and they now got nukes. Read some basics of war , Sun Tzu's art of war is a good example. It's easier to make the country your satellite than totally occupy it. Totally occupying it would require too many human lives, cash and the country would end up being more unstable than Windows Vista. The Soviet Union had pretty much the same stratey: first "free" the country, then set up a new goverment which is loyal to them and then take all the advantages as possible from the people. In ww2 they for example sent out millions of people from other nations than russians. Why do you think those Iraq soldiers were trained? To get a cheap and loyal armed forces there.
  7. Off topic: Seen them live and even got their plectrum from that gig:P On topic: Thyrfing also under viking metal.
  8. I've personally done quite a lot of farming and seen these as the reasons why people don't really train it to high levels: * It's either dirty expensive or slow. * Seeds are hard to buy in bulk for reasonable prices-> merchants control the seed markets. * A lot of spot switching involved. * Advantages of it aren't as well seen as in other skills. Every lvl 70 member knows some tricks to fletch and so on, but not too many know that farming can also bring some good cash. * Tree roots are useless. The best way to get people into farming would be to either add some new farmable objects which are really helpful, add more patches or to make seed drops more common. In my opinion few more seed drops would be ok. If we got even 10% more seeds, it would help the collecting a lot. This way people could be less dependable on merchants with bulk amounts of seeds. Also new patches would make it faster to train, thus more interesting for people to get it into high levels. We already got my arm for example, so I wouldn't really see harm in adding new tree and fruit tree patches. Also tree roots should get a new use. Yes, you can do some junk from willow roots or an useless item called nature amulet from the roots of a magic tree. New usages should be given for these things. How would a magic strung bow sound?
  9. 100k songs, average size 5mb per = 500,000 mb. That's 500 gigabytes. Yea, might be 100k songs if they are some low qualify pieces of junk. Second, 1$ per song is a rip off. An album that contains 12 songs would be 12$, only around 8$cheaper than buying a real album. Didn't know printings, logistic problems and others were cheaper than producing the album. That's a perfect example why I said there should be songs which are actually are priced correctly.
  10. Untradeable, so they are worth just the xp they give.
  11. Graz skiller :P
  12. At least Iron Maiden has stayed at the top and not abandoned their old and working style :P
  13. Amen, but like I said, I got other skills too :P You might see how my skill total is also going up during my quest on 99 farming, not just 1 or 2 skills. But yea, you're totally right, it can't be done cheaply and quickly. I've tried to find the middlepath with some random fruit tree/tree seeds while doing the herbs for cash.
  14. If some random band published an album like Load, ReLoad or so on, I wouldn't even download it. Because it's Metallica, my old time favour and the band that has had a huge impact on me, I even wasted my euros on St. Anger.
  15. After some research (posted on these boards earlier) I ended up getting the average of 7 (rounded a bit up) herbs per seed. This test was done with over 1k seeds, so it's somewhat accurate :P Yea they would still be a bit profitable at even 50k per, but why to bother? I can get cheap kwuarms, cadantines, dwarf weeds and others too. I try to maximise the gp from snappies by growing them only at the my arm patch. The point is that I got other skills to train too so I can't spend every single gp on trees. Also during the last months I've been looking closely at the tree seed prices to find the real time to buy them in mass amounts. There's just been one problem: the right time hasn't come. Good seeds are still so rare that their supply doesn't really meet the demand. If you wanna get magic for example for a reasonable price, you need luck. If you want to get them now and more than 1 or 2, you gotta pay big bucks to the merchants.
  16. A handful of good/ok songs and dozens of total crap in latest 10 years and few cd's just doesn't give them the respect they'd deserve.
  17. It would just take them 30 extra secs to set their autofighters on, wait 2 hours and then bring their precious little skillers back to yews or rocks or whatever. There goes that idea.
  18. Or you don't need to know it at all with some softwares like Microsoft Frontpage :P The point is that when you're lazy, you really are that. And anyways free layout sites could also help other people who are looking for more complicated stuff.
  19. What kind of advantages is there on having the penguin os at your Linux?
  20. hohto replied to yugun's topic in RuneScape Classic
Yea, maybe that's why people are still keeping their accounts logged in but not playing :P It's called autoing btw ;)
  21. It would take me around 2 mins to get my ip changed by my isp (that includes the time used in waiting line for the call) or around 1min to set up a proxy to avoid these ip bans. Even if they banned every ISP from a certain country, those people would find a way to get into the game. It wouldn't even take a lot of googling.
  22. Do you even have p2p? As long as it helps them to make the cash, they will pay new autoing accounts to p2p. Most of the accounts they pay for members are there to get banned, but after it has earnt more cash than has been put on the p2p cost. Jagex already has many antiauto things (things we can see and things we can't), but everytime they add something, the bot creators make a way to get across it. I'd also like to see them a way to "ban them for life": they can ban accounts and ip's, but accounts can be createdm ip's changed and proxies used.
  23. Naming names is against the tip.it rules and seriously what would it help? Making a new character takes few minutes, so having names of the buyers on some list doesn't help anything. You also seem to forget that there's still so much demand for runes that few tipiters can't do anything to stop it.
  24. The worse it looks the better it is. Dunno yet about a party, but getting 3 99 skills at once would be worth one, tho... Good to see I didn't write it for nothing :P So, finally broke the magical 10 million xp barrier. Only 3 levels and 3 million xp to go. Closer... closer...
  25. If you ask me, for untradeable items we should only get decorative stuff. If we get more "defender/torsto/fire cape" kinda items which are really good but don't drop to the floor when the owner is killed, pkin will soon be a bit like dueling but with no rewards. I personally don't see a problem with fpp items being tradebale or some good items such as dragon chain being able to be bought with them. They are rewards for doing something good, so why not let the owner be able to get something off them? With good prices they wouldn't really affect to the current prices, but they'd add some new spices to the bowl of training.
