Hoods ARE rare. I got mine at 90 dg, seen 2 since then.. But on the other hand, they get even more rare in a team where everyone has a ssh already, so you don't kill non-gd spiders ;) Even though w117 players suck, doing something like alching/selling a shadow silk hood makes you worse than every last one of them.

I liked using SGS spec at Waterfiends(CT), as claws didn't seem to hit very often ;)

Deflect hits are so small that they're insignificant if you ask me. But for prayer tasks(turmoil + protect) i always use proselyte and save some pray pots.

I've only seen them in c1s ;) About 5 of them so far.

I don't think i'd choose CKS over DFS at dagannoth kings, as they don't hit as hard.

Since this topic is on the first page, i have to bump it a bit. Compared to cheaper shields(like DFS, maybe spectral or arcane), are DG shields worth using for anything at all? Like CKS for bandos or EEKS for arma?

Strength bonus is more valuable than attack bonus as it gives more contribution to DPS(except, as Quyneax said, the monster had HIGH def and LOW hp <- making accuracy more important than raising high hit as you can 1hit the monster with either ring, just that onyx gives you more accuracy to actually hit it). So even if zerker (i) had +6 strength it would still be more useful than onyx (i). But if you talk about defender vs. DFS, defender has STR+attack bonuses, what adds up to being more than DFS's strength bonus(even rune def).

My knowledge about HHB is limited as well, as i don't have it, but i can answer some things. Bosses: Necro, Forger, Flesh-spoiler, Ballak, Cursebearer, Runebound behemoth,... Monsters: Forgotten mages, Books, Demons, Dragons, Mercenary, it seems to work good on Dogs(+hellhounds) and Brutes. Also high level giants. Ring: as far as i've read, Sniper ring is better for monsters and desperado for bosses. So berserker/sniper switch. Don't use gatherer as it takes too much time to make a 3rd switch. Quickly inspect the room for monsters and if you see any mage threats, snipe them from the distance :) About arrows picking, it's probably different from floor to floor, depends on howmany mages you encounter. Been playing it for the past few days and i love it :) It's comparable to AC2. Although i can't fully enjoy it as i must play on lowest graphics and resolution :P A question: what is the best way to defeat several enemies with non-counterable weapons(spears) at a time? I'd like to do this one mission when 3 or 4 of these attack you and i can't seem to do it 100%(don't lose any health)...
