  1. Exp per hour can get to 60k+ if you are above 90's, not sure what it's like for levels below that.
  2. Axe Hut Guide I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m going to start this guide off with the number 1 thing every would-be axe hut trainer must remember: DON̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢T FORGET YOUR LOCKPICK! Even with this warning, chances are if you spend enough time at the hut, you will forget it at some point. Location: The easiest way to get to the axe hut is by the lever in East Ardougne. Go from either bank to the teleport lever at the far west side of East Ardougne. Once you pull the lever, you will be teleported to level 51 wilderness. Head north through the web, and then east along level 55 wilderness to get to the axe hut. A thieving level of 13 is required to pick the lock on the door. The other way to get to the hut would be to walk up from Edgeville, I don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t recommend doing this as it is a much longer walk, and much more dangerous as you pass through multi-combat zones. Equipment: I have listed three sets of armour you might want to use while training here. The first is the basic 3 items, plate legs and weapon. This is for those people who want to train carefree and not worry about losing anything to pkers. (No picture, use your imagination) The second is what I have found to maximize equipment bonus while being very easy to replace if you die. Rune Plate/ Rune Chain ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Protects if you die (chain has better defence vs. axes) Rune Legs ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Protects if you die Weapon ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Protects if you die Berserker Helmet ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Protects if you use protect item prayer Book of Saradomin ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Can be replaced for free at lighthouse Legends Cape/Wilderness Team Cape ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Fairly inexpensive to replace Amulet of Power/Strength ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Fairly inexpensive to replace Climbing Boots ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Inexpensive to replace Cooking/Crafting/Magic Gauntlets ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Talk to Dimintheis to replace free I only suggest this setup if you have protect items, if you don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t replace the Berserker Helmet with an inexpensive replacement such as addy large or below. Your inventory should be setup like this if you are wearing this equipment: Prayer Potion ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ To make sure you have prayer to protect 4th item. Strange Fruit ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ A cheap replacement to a super energy, it also cures any poisons. The third setup would be for those who plan to fight any would-be pkers You can replace anything in this setup with items that you would rather wear, this is just what I was willing to risk when I skulled. Your inventory should be something like this with this setup: Strategy: After you have trained for awhile and have run out of food, the easiest place to bank is the mage bank. Go west until you pass the mage arena, and you will see two webs. Cut them, and pull the lever to access the bank area. After awhile, the axes stop attacking you and you must reset. To do this you can either run south past the hellhounds and risk getting hit for some damage by them, run east into a multi-combat area and risk running into a team of pkers, or run west towards the mage bank. West is your safest option. The following tips are to avoid fighting groups of pkers. Some people may say I have no honour for running/logging from teams, but my opinion has always been that attacking someone 10v1 is even less honourable than trying to save my armour from these groups who don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t fight on even terms. So, my advice is to try to get away at all costs. - If a group of pkers comes into the hut and tries to attack you, standing in a corner gives you the best chance of logging out inside the hut. If they have the hut surrounded and the group has Ancient Magiks and/or teleblock, you are probably going to die if you go outside. Try to find a place where axes aren̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t attacking you but are attacking the pkers and log out. Remember, teleblock works against using levers too, so you won̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be able to lever into the mage bank or back to ardougne. - Another thing I used to do would be to bring a dragonhide body and legs in my inventory, to put on when trying to run from pkers. This gives you much better mage defense than the negative bonus you would have wearing regular armour. This was my first guide, so feedback would be appreciated. I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m currently combat 125 with maxed melee stats, and the majority of my training past 90̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s has been at the axe hut. I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve trained at the hut on and off since rsc, and I have found that recently has been the most peaceful time to train there without worrying about pkers, since they mostly stay around the mage bank now. Hope my guide has helped someone, the exp is great here if you find your own server and avoid pkers. -Arsenes
  3. Im from Eastern Canada Level 125
  4. Awesome link, that brings back a lot of old names. Dmonik was long the best smither out there and Twy really did race Blue to 85. For a while there was 2 true smithers, Twy and blue. For me those reasons are good enough to call Dmonik&Twy legends. I completely agree, 99 isn't the only measuring stick, there were milestones along the way. Dmonik was the first mithril smith if i remember correctly, and Twy was the only other addy smith when blue was getting to the items that were smith only (addy square, kite, 2h, etc.). I don't know how anyone could argue that Twy wasen't a legend for what he did. Hohto I always love seeing your posts on these topics hah, you seem to have as much pride of being higher level back then as I do. Nice to see your pictures too. Das, you and the Wanderers will go down in my mind as the best rs clan ever. None of the clans nowadays can even approach the level of dominance the Wanderers had. DI or TD or whatever might say they are the best clan at the moment, but none of them can say they don't have competition. The Wanderers had probably 75% of the highest levels in the game, and no other clan was even close to matching them. Nobody would war them. Only the BKs would fight them, and that never lasted long (Though props to Who Da Best, Terminator, The Good1 etc. who actually tried to put up a fight).
  5. meh its not as good as you think, if the chance comes up you definitely brag about it but the only thing ive gotten out of it is is hearing people preaching about experiences they never had and then argue with people who actually lived them about the accuracy of them lol true, I always get a kick out of arguing with someone who said they have been playing "for 8 or 9 years, since 1999 at least".
  6. It seems that whenever people talk about oldschool people, nobody ever remembers your name Greg, yet they talk about others behind you. There are a few inacurate posts here, but mostly nice to remember old names. Here is a list of a few of the people who have been number 1 overall, im sure i've forgotten someone along the way though. Lightning Mystic Magic (sp?) Tiwi L6vi Bonebreaker6 Tks The Old Nite Zezima N0valyfe
  7. lol, that's exactly how I see it. To the flame kid who made the original post, you've spent 4 pages being obviously jealous that there is gonna be a new cape that you can't buy. If you are embarassed that you've been playing for over a year then quit. I couldn't imagine being so insecure that im embarassed of my hobbies.
  8. That's because they take one of those internet IQ tests that have about 25 questions and deem everyone above 140 IQ, then conveniently offer to sell you a complete analysis of how smart you are.
  9. Why isn't it right? Why should you be able to make huge amounts of money with EVERY skill? Maybe you haven't noticed, but this game isn't about how rich someone is. There isn't any high score table to show how rich you are, but there is for how high your skills are. Some skills SHOULD cost money to train, the game wouldn't be fun if every single thing you did made you money either. It would actually make sense to give cash benefits to skills, speaking in a fantasy realm. What is the real point of leveling these skills besides skill total increases? Comparing it to the old days, things were much more balanced and skills were way more rewarding. Now however, money making strategies do not excel in skilling, but in merchanting, staking, and other tricky little tasks such as green dragon slaying. In my mind, this is not at all how it should be. If you were around in rs1 I'm sure you'd understand me. The point of leveling your skills is just that. You gain levels to make your character better. Since rs2 has come out, more and more people have come to admire richness over levels, with the rising prices of rares and such, and too much focus has been put on getting rich over getting levels. Stats that don't bring you profit aren't done as much, while everyone rushes to get 85 slayer or 91 runecrafting. I agree with Dork, not all skills should bring you profit. Getting levels was always the point of runescape, although in some peoples minds it's been replaced with getting that elusive rare. And, I was around for quite some time in classic, we're not at an understanding.
  10. I actually got 145 today, didn't get ss though
  11. Great goal, get levels and lots of cash as well. Good luck.
  12. Im on a 75+ dry spell right now, I haven't done much barrows in a year though. Hopefully my luck will change when I go back. lol ouch.
  13. Whats with everyone hating on him for buying runecrafting exp, he's not really buying anything he free crafts nats and makes other people rich as well as himself ... Honestly, what high level player doesen't buy levels? Do you think all those people with 200m cooking exp fished all those sharks? Just because some of the board trolls here don't put any effort into their characters doesen't mean he shouldn't. 150m runecrafting exp is impressive no matter how he went about getting it.
  14. hah those old tip.it pictures are awesome, so many old familiar names. Gamesfan the oldschool spammer Tiwi #1 overall Flex 10 was oldschool as well Everdred woodcutting legend back when it was useless with firemaking Hitman X mithril smith back when the highest smiths were just hitting addy Lord Stone, Big10fan, fcuker, dakilla, duck man, all names I remember. Rs was a lot closer back then :P Oh and I also remember the finnish pkers in the top pic, hob mines was the place to be. 12k strength xp an hour, best spot to train in all of rs Very nice pics again Hohto.
  15. Rab, Lightning and Erixson, I count 3 :P Awesome pics Hohto, nice to see you still posting too :)
  16. Oldest picture I have of me, this was a few days before they released p2p. This is of Bluerose13x getting 99 smithing, the second to get a 99 besides Everdreads 99 woodcutting (her second 99 as you can see). An old rsc screenshot where they had Carpentry listed in the stats. This screenshot was taken the night before rs2 came out. Finally an old pk All pictures by me except obviously the one of Bluerose.
  17. lvl 92, when it came out Feb 2002.
  18. Just wondering if anyone knows at what level you stop burning shark with cooking gauntlets? Im 92 now, not burning too many anymore, maybe it's 93 or 94? Thanks
  19. Does anyone remember Qwazydogg?
  20. Must say, it's a very good guide. I've neglected farming, getting all my levels from tears of guthix and quests, but you have some good suggestions I might try out. Good stuff.
  21. I don't think Zezima was first to get 99 in any skill, unless he got it in one of the newer p2p skills. Definately none of the original skills.
  22. Thanks for the reply, I killed the monkey in the middle of the town (lvl 147) that was guarding the statue, he counted as a ninja monkey as well.
  23. I need to get the ninja monkey greegree to do recipe for disaster, but i am not sure where to find ninja monkeys? I looked at a guide to greegrees and it has this to say about the ninja monkeys: This one is slightly harder to get the remains of. Stand near the monkey child, the atoll graveyard, or in the magic shops storeroom, and turn into a human form. One of the monkeys there will summon the guards, and usually, Karam (10th squad's assassin), will come and kill the ninja monkey. Every time I stand next to one of these places and turn into human form, the ninja monkey just comes and clubs me and I end up in the jail. Where can you find a ninja monkey that you can fight? Thanks, Arsenes
  24. wether - A castrated ram. purly - No entry found for purly. Also, the s on the end of negative should not follow an apostrophe, unless you meant to say "you always look for the negative is in whatever jagex..." Selling gp on ebay isn't illegal, so saying it's libel would be incorrect. Also, why use a word if you are going to explain it right after? If you think the word is too advanced for your audience, perhaps consider a more appropriate word. Later Mark, LoL
  25. I remember you, if you are coming back to rs thinking it's anything like old rs (community or game wise) I think you'll be disapointed.
