Also when you install the driver for most network adapters it has built in software-which it looks like you have. It's quite likely that that program is clashing with the Windows zero config wireless networking software. Try setting the windows networking software to off and see if that helps.

First source the processor your going to use. Then find an atx/mini atx motherboard with decent features(ie-do you need firewire ports or wi-fi etc etc built in?). Then find the ram you are going to use.Use the highest spec ram you can on your m board. I run a 1024 mb in one slot and 512 mb in my other on an old Athlon socket A +2800xp procecessor and rs is lag free for me with msn,media player,internet tabs etc. Although lag depends just as much if not more on your internet connection.

How does your pc connect? Does it use a router?Because most likely there is a firewall built into that.
