  1. ^ Yeah that would suck. I probably shouldn't get even this worked up about this, but you've obviously never had depression.
  2. Good point... I think the thing I'm really looking for is BD movies. It's a disadvantage of being a perfectionist, I know people that wouldn't know the difference between BD and VHS quality. :| Thanks, I think I'll wait. I'm pretty much broke right now, if I ever get a laptop though (Probably in a long time if at all) I'll get one.
  3. First off, I don't live in America, in Finland we went digital last year I think. And it doesn't matter to me, because I don't have a TV at home anyway. I would use it more for movies and eventually data, when we start actually needing that much. What do you mean?
  4. Nice idea for a topic. I sat here for a while thinking but I can't think of anything :uhh: maybe I should think about this more often. :|
  5. Thats exactly what I think. To be honest those opinions are quite naïve, have you read the thread?
  6. No, it doesn't. If America was a socialist or even communist nation, the economy probably wouldn't have crashed, because you wouldn't have been allowed to do the things that caused the economy to crash. (Giving people loans that they can't afford, etc.- If I remember right Bush voted for the deregulation of the financhial market which allowed just that.) The whole argument that all problems in the economy (recessions etc) would come to an end in a command economy is a joke. I agree, but what made you quote my post to say that?
  7. Nothing, I don't celebrate Christmas. BTW you should change the topic title to "Post yer loot! :D"
  8. I've been wanting one for a while to watch movies and such because DVD quality is starting to look pretty bad, BDs are getting cheaper as well as BD drives. I looked on newegg and the prices were actually quite reasonable [compared to the first drive I saw for 680 EUR  ]. A few things though: 1. The prices are fine now, but will they get any cheaper anytime soon? 2. They're so slow. 6x just doesn't cut it for me. Is it still worth it? 3. Is it really worth it to get a BD/DVD drive or will HDDVDs make some sort of a comeback? As in, is the current format war really over? 4. Should I get a drive that burns too? (My worries are that it will either be so obsolete so quickly or that if I don't get one later I'm going to have to buy a seperate drive just to burn them) And if there's a specific drive you would recommend for me that would be great too. Thanks.
  9. Oh my, that just made me imagine a motercycle gang made of the people that most of us are... No, I don't think so. :ohnoes:
  10. This post didn't make any sense!
  11. Don't Wiis have an ethernet port? You could try that if all else fails.
  12. Aww, I missed all the awesome. :( I'm never on when these kind of things happen. But then, I'm never really on in general so meh.
  13. Because of the community, like most others. I can't believe RuneHQ has a way you can pay to get more, I would never pay even if Tip.it had it. It's just so elitist, lots of people are short on money anyway. Zybez seems to me as a community for rulebreakers. When you register there it says "Zybez is not a place to enforce the rules of RuneScape", which of course takes any hope of gaining any respect from Jagex away. Tip.it respects the rules of RS, which I approve of. My second choice would be RuneVillage. They also use phpBB3 as forum software (I tend to hate everything else especially paid crap software like vBulletin or IPB) and the community seems like a friendly one to me.
  14. God jul! Hyvää joulua! Umm... Errymay Istmaschray!
  15. Where were you five months ago? It was closed, I have this feeling a few users here and there were punished for what they posted on that thread, and it is never to be opened again. OT couldn't handle "Ever caught them". Thank goodness the crapfest is over.
  16. Try restarting your router? Should make it switch ips, unless you have a static ip, in which case you'll have to wait.
  17. True, that's just why I don't celebrate Christmas. But to everyone who does, have a good one. :D
  18. b/g is pretty much standard, if your dad can connect his laptop to it it's unlikely that you can't connect your iPod. Unless your router is wirleless n and your dad is using some adapter, but that's kind of expensive so I doubt it. What was this setting you were saying about with a modem? Can you give us some details on that?

    Incredibly cool.
  20. Never thought there would be a guest computer here. :ugeek:

Yeah. I spent hours making it show up correctly in that crappy browser. :| Do the post buttons change when you mouseover them? I don't have a copy of IE6 to try it on...
