  1. 8/10 from me! That's a hefty amount of Fire Runes.
  2. Isn't that technically against the rules?
  3. ROFL +1 +2 but defence has no point past 40 Maybe in the sense that you can't wear anything better than Rune armor at level 40 in F2P, but having high Defence increases the amount of 0's enemies/PKers hit on you (depending on their Attack level). I wouldn't say that it has no point past 40, but yeah you can't wear Dragon armor or anything.
  4. Hmm, I have a question regarding High Alchemy on F2P. Is there any item worth High Alching to make a profit assuming you buy the Nature Runes and the items themselves? Keep in mind I'm talking about F2P. I'm trying to find a good way to get my Magic up aside from failed Curses.
  5. Wow, I almost completely forgot about Shades and Zombies. It seems like after they added several new Random Events, the original ones seemed to appear less often. I haven't seen a Shade or Zombie from anyone since I first started playing about a year or so ago.
  6. Takes two coal and one iron ore to make a steel bar... you've got 60+ smithing, weird that you don't know it... I suggest merching high demand items like rune, coal or lobsters. It's a given that you need 2 coal and 1 iron. I figured that was understood so I didn't bother to mention it. Regardless, you still make a profit.
  7. Buy Coal for 200ea and Iron Ore for 100ea (or mine it yourself) then smelt Steel Bars. Sell them anywhere from 600-650ea and you're guarenteed to make at least double the profit.
  8. Just like Jagex is behind the bots. :-k Extremely serious here though. Yes, I took the time to copy and paste your tiny text in Word to reveal what you said. Interesting theory, but I really don't know about that. Sounds more like a conspiracy theory if JAGeX really is behind the bots. What's in it for them even if they are? Would that just give them an excuse to ban accounts?
  9. If the rock exploded and your pick actually broke, then take it to Bob's Axes in Lumbridge and he'll repair your pickaxe for a small fee. If the pickaxe head just popped off, then pick it back up and use it on the pickaxe handle to put it back together.
  10. Good luck with that. I've just been aiming for 80 Strength and so far I'm about 14 days into it and I'm only at 76 (started at 70). Then again, I've just been fighting Flesh Crawlers the entire time and I've only been able to play about 1-2 hours each day tops. I guess it could be done if you have enough time on your hands to basically do nothing but play RuneScape.
  11. I remember that price when I first started playing but I never took the initiative to buy them because I was preoccupied with trying to figure out the rest of the game.
  12. Good luck and have fun as a RuneScape member! I've been pondering whether or not I should give P2P a try, but in all honesty I'd be a little intimidated by the thousands of members with 100M+ in cash and a bank full of Dragon armor and rares. :ohnoes:
  13. How much are Cowhides now days? Last I remember (before I took a break from RuneScape) they were roughly 150gp each. :-k
  14. Is the island for P2P members only? Because every time I've gotten an Evil Bob I'm always teleported to Prison Pete.
  15. Changing as in it automatically updates for you? The only website I know of that allows you to update your signature is http://www.runeweb.net Sorry if I'm not much help.
  16. I'd suggest either Flesh Crawlers like others have said or the Giant Red Spiders in the Stronghold of Security (3rd floor). I'm training my strength at the moment to level 80 on Flesh Crawlers and so far it's been going well. You don't have to worry about bringing good food because cooked Salmon and Trout will last you hours down there. Plus you're likely to get anywhere from 25,000-35,000 experience per hour with Flesh Crawlers.

If you're talking about goal signatures and stats signatures, then runeweb.net has a feature that allows you to update your signatures whenever you want. Just re-input your RSN and it'll automatically update it. I think that's what you mean by "refreshing the page". Correct me if I'm wrong.
  18. I have a question about failed Curses: Can this work on any type of monster an infinite amount of times? In other words, you can keep casting Curse on the same monster over and over again without needing to kill it somehow? That's exactly right provided that you fail when you cast every Curse. You do that by getting your magic attack as low as possible. In F2P you can easily get it to -68 or so. that's more than enough to always fail the spell. Hope this helps Would wearing Rune armor cause the Curse spell to fail as well since it lowers Magic? I have level 70 Magic, so I assume I'd be able to use this method to get to a goal of level 80, but I want to make sure I'm getting the experience and not wasting runes. Thanks again,

  20. As easy as you make it sound, merchanting in F2P isn't exactly a cakewalk (at least in my experience). As soon as someone announces an excellent item to merchant in F2P, word spreads and that item soon becomes one of the worst things to merchant. I've tried by hand at merchanting and although it does result in profit, I'd never be able to merchant millions in just a week or so. Not my cup of tea (and I know for a fact other players have trouble with it).
  21. Yeah, well I guess kids hear the expression "Money doesn't grow on trees" way too often from their parents so they think that it doesn't apply on RuneScape either. :P Beggars have never really bothered me because I simply just turn Public Chat off or lose them by either teleporting or running away. The more people pay attention to them and tell them off, the more they'll want to keep asking.
  22. Last I remember they were about 200-250gp each.
  23. You could always buy Coal for 200gp each and Iron Ore 100gp each and smith them into Steel Bars. Then just sell the Steel Bars for 600-650ea and you'll make a decent profit. It's not entirely fast, but you take money where you can get it in F2P.
  24. 6 months? ONLY 6 months?! I've never been able to experience a mature conversation while playing and I've been playing for a little over a year now. It's like pulling teeth trying to get someone to speak to you using real words and complete sentences. Oh well, that's the beauty of turning Public Chat off. :)
  25. Well, being a F2P player I can't really look forward to the updates (at least not most of them), but what keeps me playing is having fun with skills. I've "quit" several times like some of us here but some how I always come back to it after a long break. I think JAGeX realizes this to some degree and will keep RuneScape up for a while. All things come to an end, true, but RuneScape's end isn't going to be tomorrow or the day after.
