  1. Mining Silver ore at the Crafting Guild isn't a bad idea either. The only negative side to that is having to travel a ways to the nearest bank (Falador). Still, you can get 52 experience points per Silver bar if you make Tiaras.
  2. Yeah, that's an excellent place granted that you don't bother with retrieving your arrows. I've been training there since level 40 Range and I plan to train there until I hit 80+.
  3. Mine Rune essence yourself in Varrock. It really doesn't take long at all and it's costless (well, except for buying a pickaxe). Your Runecrafting level will shoot up fast until about 40 or so. By that point you'll be able to make like 2-3 times as many Air runes with a single Rune essence. And as far as money suggestions go, I would mine Iron ore and sell in bulk once you get 1,000+. 1,000+ Iron ore will easily sell in World 1 Falador for 70-100gp each.
  4. There's no reason to bump this. Just let it go. Yeah, you made a mistake; we all do! A few months ago, my friend accidentally ate his Pumpkin during a trade. He didn't think to note the Pumpkin before he took it out so when he went to trade with someone, the person declined as soon as he clicked to offer the Pumpkin and he gobbled it down... Yeah, it sucks, but if you really want to recover from something like this you'll just have to work for it. I bet you 95% of the people here would tell you to merchant, but since everyone does that now days it's not as effective as it was about a year or so ago. Moral: Don't buy goods and services with instable prices. (That's straight from my Economics book... I'm finally learning something \ )
  5. To tell you the truth, Yew trees are a pain to cut in F2P. It's not as efficient as it once was. Taking a look at the most well-known locations... Draynor Forest: There are four trees within close vacinity of each other and they're all relatively close to a bank (Draynor's), but the autoers and the crowds of "real" woodcutters are sick. A single Yew tree won't last 30 seconds when you have 5 autoers and 4 players hacking at the same tree. Varrock Castle: If I remember right, there's only two or so trees there but it's very close to a bank. However, the crowds of autoers here is even worse than the crowds in Draynor Forest. You're left standing around waiting for one of the trees to grow back for like 5 minutes... Rimmington: The fact that this place is pretty isolated is good, but the distance from there to a bank is too far for it to be efficient. This is a good place to train woodcutting, but if you plan on banking the Yews to make some money it can take awhile. You don't necessarily have to worry too much about autoers either. Outside Falador: Close to the Falador East Bank, but it seems that each time I walk past these trees by the Air Alter they're either chopped down or only autoers are cutting them. I suppose you could try using this method, but I haven't experimented with it enough to give a decent suggestion. Edgeville: Extremely close to a bank! The only problem is that it's crowded in pretty much any world unless you get on at like midnight to do your Yew-choppin'. My suggestion would be to alternate between Draynor Forest, Edgeville, and outside Falador. I suppose changing location may also keep you from getting bored with it so fast. Good luck and I hope this helped... even if it did just a little.
  6. No friends, no ignores. I'm a neutral type of guy. I leave all my chats on and I'm happy to talk to fellow players, I just never add anyone to either of the lists.
  7. The only one that was based off another work was the second one. Max Payne was a great game so I decided to put something together of my own about the game. The picture itself was based off my own idea, as was the revoler and the rose, so I'm not sure how people recognize that one... I made it up. lol The 3rd and 4th drawings are album artworks from different bands. I have a thing for drawing album covers, I don't know why. Most of the time they have very interesting subjects. As for the medium, they all started out as pencil sketches (graphite) and then used a black razor-point marker to outline. In the first one, the blood stain in the background is colored with a variety Primsa Colors. The Max Payne sketch and the 3rd sketch are black and white, while the last one is Prisma Color. Thanks,
  8. Hey everyone. This is my first post in this forum, so I thought I'd put up a few sketches I have in the current sketchbook I've been working on. Don't hesitate to let me know what you think! P.S. Sorry for the massive size. #-o
  9. They have price-check topics on the actual RuneScape message boards in the Item Discussion forum, but last time I checked it was some where around 2.5 - 3 mil for full I think? Not really sure... not a reliable source here.
  10. Since you're talking about "easiest" by price and time, Cooking and Firemaking are probably the best answers. With Firemaking, you can just spend 12gp each on Willows at a General Store and burn the logs right outside (rather than spending 30-35gp each from players).
  11. Well, the fastest method I know of is buying Silver ore/bars and making Tiaras, but that can get pretty expensive. You could always camp out at the Crafting Guild and make and fire Bowls since you'd never have to leave, but that can be pretty slow at level 57 Crafting...
  12. Yeah, I was second-guessing that claim too. Even if the opponent had 50 Hitpoints, taking him/her out in two hits would mean dealing two 25-damage hits with Fire Blast in F2P... not likely. :-k
  13. Sorry if my regard for my account offended you, I just had a strict plan and wanted to see if I could stick with it. There's no reason to get on to me about it; I don't know any better. But thanks for all the advice everyone! Oh, and by the way, I abandoned my main account because it was getting harrassed too much by other players. I just kind of wanted to start fresh and try new concepts of the game that I had never experimented with before (like PKing). P.S. "Don't go all emo on us"? Lol, what does that even mean? How is a PKer with accidental Defence levels emotional? Maybe I misunderstood.
  14. Haha, okay. But the Mystic robes won't matter to me because I'm F2P.
  15. Okay, thank you. Yeah, luckily the level gain didn't affect my Combat LvL... that would have made me mad. lol
  16. This past month and a half (ever since I abandoned my main account) I've been working on a F2P hybrid PKer with no Defence or Prayer. Well, it turns out that as I was PKing today in Edgeville, I went to switch to a Rune 2h Sword and ended up acheiving level 2 Defence by complete accident. The reason the Block attack style was selected was because I was using Fire Blast when I switched weapons and forgot to switch my attack style to Slash. Anyway, since I've pretty much ruined this account with level 2 Defence, I was wondering what I should do with my Defence level? Should I just keep it where it is or should I go for level 40 Defence and wear rune while I PK? I remember reading somewhere that F2P PKers should either have 1 or 40 Defence (no in-betweens) to really have any advantage in the wilderness. What should I do? :?
  17. Well, I'm currently going for the same goal as you and I was told that about 27k bronze arrows would get me from level 60 to 70 Ranging (because I never pick them up). Seeing as how you're starting from level 53, you may need around 40k bronze arrows if you're lazy like me and don't pick up your arrows.
  18. Just keep it and start collecting the ones you get from Mysterious Old Men. I have 17 Spinach Rolls in my bank and I've been collecting them since I started playing (about a month ago... maybe a little more).
  19. Maybe it's not a problem on JAGeX's end. I'm sure the source of the problem is the hacker(s) who engage this scam. I haven't had it happen to me personally, but surely if several people confirm that it's happened to them then I wouldn't doubt it. And I'm sorry to hear about that loss. It's tough recovering from stuff like that. I'm sure everyone here could recall a story of their own where they lost fortunes due to scams and other things. Just give it time and you'll pull together and recover what you've lost. At least it gives you something to work for.
  20. Well, it's completely up to you if you want to start now, but if your highest skill is level 13 you might want to play around with F2P a little more. I'm not saying you shouldn't become a member, but membership would be a bit more enjoyable if you had decent stats (around 40-50 or so).
  21. It's tough to make loads of money in F2P without having skills that are 60+. I think mining Iron ore in the beginning is good money for starters seeing as how they sell for 100gp each now. And taking into consideration that it's extremely easy to mine Iron, this can prove pretty efficient (especially once you hit 50 mining where it only takes one hit to get it). You could always try cutting Willows or Yews, but since everyone and their grandmother's uncle does this now (and because of all the autoers), this isn't as efficient as it once was.
  22. I suppose that all depends on where you stand right now as far as levels go. Iron has always been the best method for leveling up your Mining stat. Just power-mine Iron in the Dwarven Mines if you plan on keeping the ore you mine. If you intend to just drop the Iron ore you mine, the best place would be the mining pit south of Falador (near Rimmington). As for Smithing, just stick with Steel the entire way. If your level is under 60 for Mining, mine coal in the Lumbridge Swamp or the dungeon under Varrock (where the Hill Giants are... requires the Brass Key I think). If you're above 60 Mining, hit the Mining guild in Falador. I personally never bothered mining my own coal, I always bought it because it's faster. More expensive, yes, but faster. Then just mine the Iron ore yourself since you can get Iron ore in no time practically. If you have the money, you could always skip that step and just but Steel bars to smith into Steel platebodies and what-not. Hoped this helped a bit,
  23. Thank you very much! Yeah, I probably should've mentioned that I'm too lazy to pick up the arrows I shoot. Yes, I realize it's like throwing away money, but the only things I ever spend money on is food, runes, and arrows since I'm a PKer. Thanks again,
  24. How many bronze arrows do you think I will need to earn 463,531 EXP to get from level 60 to 70 Range? This is my goal for the time being, but I have no idea how many arrows I'll need or the amount it'll cost me to buy them. Thanks,
  25. Well, so many people merchant now that it's becoming harder and harder to make huge profits. You might still be able to make a profit from merchanting, but it will never be as high as it used to be before everyone and their mother knew about it.
