You never resize pixel art.

The transitions between the colors are too sharp. You could read a bit on dithering and anti aliasing to fix that problem. Pretty good for a first though, just make sure you don't get too dependent on direct photo references.

Well it looks nice and you certainly have some skill, but there's a general composition rule that says you should distribute the details. Right now it looks like you tried to fill the whole thing with tiny details. Leaving some areas blank will reinforce the detailed areas and they will also drag more attention. Also try to pick less saturated colors, and define your light source clearly because I see some areas that lean a bit towards pillow shading. Good luck.

There's nothing wrong in using custom brushes, as long as you don't depend on them. What looks weird in this is the quality difference between the character and the tree. But yeah it's pretty annoying with a mouse, get a tablet and you won't regret it.

Generally it looks nice, but I'm counting 222 colors and that's way too much. First, there's barely any contrast which makes it hard to read, and the messy lines are not helping it. When I zoomed in though, I saw the effects you were trying to achieve and they are nice, but they could've looked much better and more obvious if there had been more contrast and cleaner patterns.

Advice on tablet... Well first, assign some functions to the shortcut key, I put the zooming on my tablet buttons for example. While you paint, leave the brush opacity fairly high and set the pressure sensitivity to opacity. That's the only tips I could think of, rest will come naturally as you practice. As for the painting, when you draw non organic shapes it's important to plan good guidelines and make good use of the selection tools and straight lines.

There's no way you'd get this kind of color for the fur at night time. And the sky is so much better than the rest that it looks a bit out of place lol :lol: Anyways, pretty good overall.

I only recall him being on rsc as it was the only place that allowed to sell sigs for rs money. When he couldn't anymore he stopped pixeling.

It would probably be a lot easier to just make his torso bigger. Also, his neck is pretty long. Pretty cool though. Erm I think you mean smaller, because making his torso bigger would just make the problem worse :? Work on your proportions, head is way too small and the arms are too short. I like the shading though.

Well I wanted to get an effect of someone standing in a white room with lots of light, that's why it's pretty bright.

It was intentional tho. I wanted to attract attention more to the face than the shirt.
