The only one I'm currently using adds the ancient elven boots to Bodahn's shop, and before my comp failed I had one that added some armor pieces that wouldn't appear in Awakening to the Silverite Mine. Have unintentionally ended up with a more defensive team than I'm used to before the E4, with Serperior, Ferrothorn, Jellicent, Reuniculs, Cryogonal, and Rufflet. Serperior is actually pretty good if played right. Leech seed + leftovers, then spamming Coil gives it ridiculous physical stats, and after a couple it heals of most of the damage it takes. Then leaf blade and slam for actual damage dealing. Similar strategy with Ferro, except with Ingrain, curse, and the rugged helmet. Even before curse they end up doing more damage to themselves then to Ferrro. Of course, only the Ferro one would be acceptable in any kind of metagame. Can get away with a lot when the computer lets you set up 3-4 boosts on neutral damage. Also, pretty sure Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald didn't have any kind of Chansey (Not even a clone like Audino), and the Gamecube didn't see it until XD.

OH MAN. If Space were more public, we could totally get away with that. If you were willing to spend the time and effort TvTropes has a whole article boasting about its lack of notability. Could even settle for a thread here about it.

There are apparently action replay codes that can switch between the city and forest, and you need to link between both games with someone to get the most out of either location, all of which are Pokemon you could get through importing from a 3rd or 4th gen game, with those generation's tutor moves. And it isn't like you can get all of the pokemon without linking between the two anyway. You can get Petlil via ingame trade, and it comes with 20 IVs in everything except special attack (31) and a Modest nature. I've also been hearing nothing but good things about Reshiram. It hits everything for neutral damage at least, and is pretty much Palkia-level power in the sun.
