Ghost. I can't be bothered putting a Screeny down the now, so someone else can do one.

The technical specifications to me were just shocking when first announced because it was with existing technology. The PS3 didn't mean much to anyone with the "Cell" until they compared it directly to the Xbox 360 saying it was twice as powerful. Well I for one will be getting at least 2 out of 3 of the new next gen consoles as I was extremely dissapointed with the GameCube when I got one. Xbox360 is already pre-ordered and will be mine by December. Don't know when they'll start accepting PS3 pre-orders, but you bet your head I'll be pre-ordering one of them too. :)

GeForce 6800 256 PCI Express Video card TV-out SLI
Chris replied to Silver_Dragon's topic in Tech and Computers
That card in particular does not require a seperate power source as you can plainly see it on the picture, it also does have an sli thingy... I don't know much about sli though, so I'll shut up now. :) -
... If you're over the legal age limit I'll be very surprised. Now kids this is why you shouldn't drink until you're responsible enough to do so. :? Summer, I don't have a summer. I work for a living.

I'm with the switching off idea, because I experienced what Necromagus did too... Man that was freaky, it wasn't as serious as his. But getting a tooth removed when I was 4 or 5 was serious stuff. Basically the anesthetist put the mask on my face, asked me to count from 1 to 10 and by maybe 2 or 3, I remember waking up and the dentist giving me my tooth... That was extremely creepy. So IMO I believe death is exactly like that. Nothing as we won't remember a thing because we're switched off.

Take my warning seriously mortal... Bwhahaha. You get what you pay for. So in other words, you buy a cheap tablet like I did, you get crap. You buy a $200 one you get a tasty bit of hardware that'll last you a good few years. :)

LAWL FR33 M0D PL0X! Actually asking people here maybe isn't such a good idea... You might want to decided what specific scope you're going for as rick said, because asking on tip.it for anything serious is like shooting yourself in the foot before you go hunting. :?

What's funny about it is, if he goes into Add/Remove programs... I bet he'll find something to do with Ad/Spy/Malware. Adware nowadays very rarely just installs. If people read the Terms & Conditions when installing software they'd see that they're not only accepting not to steal/reverse engineer the software they're installing but agreeing to install a third party advertisement program aswell. Messenger Plus 3 is a great example because they make it obvious by asking if you want to install the third party advertisement program. Most people just don't read it and click next, before they know it they have an extra toolbar that seems to be slowing their computer down. :? Add/Remove -> Adaware -> Spybot -> HiJackThis -> Full Anti-Virus Scan That's the best way of removing Adware that I know of, and I do it a lot.

Do soccer (football) players ever get brain damage?
Chris replied to Scruffy5389's topic in Off-Topic
Yeah I'd be more worried about elbows or high boots than than the ball. Like that Celtic goalkeeper who was killed when he went in for a ball and got his skull fractured by the striker trying to kick the ball. But yeah that was 1931 and very uncommon still. Woah, musta been one hell of a striker. Skulls are pretty hard. -

6600GT 128mb vs FX 5500 128 mb. Worth the upgrade?
Chris replied to Nadril's topic in Tech and Computers
Awsome :D Ordered it yesterday, they said 3-5 days. Came out to be 140$ too! :o I assume you got the AGP 8x version? Because unless you have an athlon 64 or new P4 I doubt you'd have PCI-E. If I'm wrong feel free to correct me. -
If you use the power saving modes and all that and you have a high powered PC, it's debateable whether or not switching it off for 8 hours is better than keeping it on. So no Hannibal you can't test the theory with that P2 of yours. :P  Power saving would be like the Athlon 64's Cool 'n' Quiet, as what it's doing is lowering the FSB to keep it cooler which in turn if you done physics means less energy is exerted and SHOULD mean that less is used. Also Hibernate in my honest opinion is the best power saver, it switches the PC off but it only takes a couple of seconds in the morning to switch back on. I use this when I'm taking my laptop to work. :) As for me, I keep my laptop on nearly all the time, as I like to idle in #dw. I don't have a PC at the moment so I can't keep that on, but I reckon if I did as I always used to. My mum and dad would see a drastic increase in the electricity bill. Edit: http://michaelbluejay.com/electricity/computers.html - Haha, I suppose it makes sense that a computer that's off would use less power than a PC that's on... MAYBE, just maybe back in the day of huge room sized servers it might have been more efficient to keep them running that switching them off at night? I'm just guessing now. :D

Technically 2 3.4GHz CPU's don't run at 6.8GHz, you're only running at 3.4GHz, the fact that most applications can't as of yet use the 2 cores at exactly the same time anyway. So one would be doing something and the other would be doing something else, both running at 3.4GHz respectively. I know your type, we get know it alls in our shop all the time, funny thing is we fix their computer.
-
So to answer your questions, yes you will be able to run in high detail mode. For a better performace though you should use low detail. I find that funny, those should be the "Recommended" specs, no the minimum as I know 100% I can run RuneScape on lower than a 300 with 64MB RAM. :P

What's a conversion and a drop goal? I know what a try is. :P

That's probably why they are charging that much for it... People like you keep stealing it so they need to charge the people nice enough to buy it in the first place more! That and it's a "professional" tool for graphics editing. We all know what the word "professional" does to a program, yup 400%+ profit.
-
I love it! :D But... How do you do the rays of light O_o' Is it edited in photoshop at all? :? 8.6/10 :)
