Well, my college has closed down indefinitely due to structural damage from this quake. No classes for me.

Also, according to Dominion Power, it was only built to withstand a range of 5.9-6.1. Of course, a long, sustained shaking can be more destructive than a short, but more energetic quake...and the Richter scale doesn't tell us that sort of stuff. But after Japan, this doesn't exactly make me feel good (especially because the North Anna Power Plant is 20 minutes from my house, prolly like 10 miles in terms of distance). We live very close to eachother then, it's like MAYBE 15 minutes from where I'm at.

Haven't heard of anything yet. I heard rumors that a building has at least partially collapsed in DC, but I don't know how much merit that holds. A few windows in an elementary school closer to the epicenter blew out.

Yeah, that was pretty much the reaction here. They happen so rarely I didn't know what was happening at first. This is probably child's play to those on the west coast.

Anything else is at least a vote against Jagex. I would hate to see them win best F2P mmorpg when F2P isn't even playable at this point.

Get rid of the experience booster for the referrer. Put in points for the existing loyalty programme instead. That'll fix the idea. EDIT: The referral system is not at fault, get that idea straight. It's the boosters that are a problem. I think removing the bonus xp in favor of loyalty points is a great idea. I would be for that.

But this would force Jagex to admit there is a problem. They tend to daintily side-step around things like this and pretend they don't exist, so the last thing they're going to do is pony up and do the right thing. Blizzard has done the exact same thing as Steam/TF2 with Diablo 3. They knew they couldn't stop the rwt sites, so instead of pretending they didn't exist and ignoring the problem, Blizzard will now be the ones running them. This is the best and safest route to take when you know you won't be able to stop the problem.

This is incredibly annoying while runecrafting. I'm glad to see it's a widespread problem, and not just me.
