IÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôm just curious... a friend told via pm while I was figthing iron drags that ice gloves, when wielded together with an antifire shield, reduce the damage from dragon breath to 0 - like antifire shield and antifire potion used together. I have never heard that before and no time to try at the moment and found nothing in the tip.it guides. So, has anyone of you ever heard that, too, or tried that out? Would make my goal of 69 herblore (66 atm) pretty useless. #-o

Guten Tag, everyone! Since the first German servers are open for some days now, I was wondering if there are many German native speakers like myself amongst you tip.iters and if you will use the german servers or, like me, stick mainly with the English ones (I got used to it, also, the humor is different)! Note that IÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôm not asking where you live etc. (and if, only the country), I just get the feeling that IÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôm the only German on the TIF. If your answering, please post in English since itÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôs the official forum language. Since this is the first thread I start outside the marketplace: if this is in the wrong forum or asking for native language/country is against the rules, please move/lock this. I have found threads about where people come from, but not in particular about German speaking people, so I hope itÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôs ok. I would also suggest, if it goes with the rules, a official tip.it poll on the native laguages of the tip.it community in general. Happily waiting for your posts! :D

Lumbridge is not dump anymore since they added the banks with RFD and the lumbridge tutors (I think thatÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôs f2p as well).

You`re never too old to play computer games, could only be that you are too young for certain contents. I think most games target an "older" audience (high teens and beyond) anyway so they shouldnÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôt be considered little kids entertainment only. I started playing games when I was 10 years old (Amiga 500 ftw!), but probaly never fully understood the games I played at that time. Now IÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôm almost 29 and started RS at the age of 26... as many people have said, as long as itÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôs fun, youÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôre not too old.

My unluckiest moment was during doing underground pass. I knew I had to use a plank with those floor traps, even had one with me... but wanted to see what would happen #-o . Died in the traps and lost my rune kite, which was really valuable to me at that time, and got so angry that I didnÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôt play for about two weeks.

I like the cosmic altar. Looks a bit like walking in outer space and reminds me of tha arcane sanctuary in Diablo II.

Now you know why Jagex changed for example the emote buttons to pictures - easier use with other languages. And some people said they were dumbing down the game for people who canÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôt read... you may say they were dumbing it down for Germans :-w (since IÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôm German myself, I hope this is no offense).

I reread the reply... note this sentence: The only equipment he sells (the only thing he sells, incidentally) is Bolt Racks, as I'm sure we all know. But if this equipment is from the "empire's" armies, this means that the "empire" in the Eastern lands uses crossbow bolt racks, kind of like what Karil uses as that's the ammunition for his weapon. This can mean one thing - the Eastern lands use some sort of Karil-type crossbow. As far as I can tell, Karil's crossbow is pretty good, meaning we might be able to look forward to a nicely powered range weapon that uses bolt racks - otherwise that's just my failing P2P memory acting up. ;_; I wanted to say that! :evil: Means I totally agree and think we can lokk forward to some interesting ranging in the east someday.

Good, I thought I too thought I was the only one who noticed - since i considered world 123 as my homeworld. Could it be that servers 122 and 123 will be German servers soon (should be swedih now)? Jagex already did something like that - the Finnish worlds were Swedih worlds once, and were moved without changing the server numbers.

TheyÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôre piling up in my bank, too... Have 5462 at the moment. It would be nice if they could be used at a useful shop like the tokkul in the tzar shops do - maybe there should be a ghostly rune shop or something like that.

Why not go to the ogre enclave? Easier to reach from castle wars bank and not so crowded with players but with blue dragons.

I found runescape through miniclip, too - at the age of 25, so call me immature for playing computer games. Why are people always complainig about Jagex trying to attract customers? Why are the community, ok, and they should listen to what we say, but still, they own runescape and can do with it what they want. So if one does not like what the creator/owner of a game does with it, one should stop complainig or quit the game. After al, Andrew G and his crew are making a living from the game and thus need new customers, so advertising on miniclip is ok in my opinion. Miniclip didn`t destroy the community, at least it was not their plan. But ranting all day and searching for scapegoats is not very helpful, either. Sorry for the long comment, just had to say that. 8-)

I hate crocodiles. Far away, desert equipment needed, hard to kill compared to others, no drops... i always skip them, but do all other tasks. Favorites are all kinds of dragons. 8-)

I think there are a lot of german players (like myself), but they tend not to show that they are german. It`s a part of german metality, I think. Other people, like the Dutch or from the scandinavian countries are more likely to show where they come from in their player names and also using their language in chat. What I still wonder: JaGEx is translating the game intoGerman, yet there are no German servers - big marketing offensive to come? And finally, I think I`ll stick mostly with the English version - I`m used to it for a long time now, and I dont`t think that all of the original humor can be translated in other languages.

DonÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôt know if you are f2p or haven`t done the fairy tale quests yet (if you are p2p), because we already got orcs... they are in the Lost City, but cannot be attacked - at least yet. But they are there.

Like said before, gamemakers are always inspired by other gamemakers, movies and so on. I think the evil chicken was inspired by the killer chicken from an ultima online fan cartoon on http://www.imanewbie.com, but the site doesn`t seem to exist anymore (it is on google, but i can`t open it anymore).

I was killing green dragons in lvl 12 wilderness when a pker attacked me. I retaliated for some time so he had to eat. This interrupted the fight long enough for a green drag to attack him, while I was about to tele out. Good that stayed, that guy had no anti-dragon shield with him #-o He got a 43 from the dragon fire and left me his whip, rune plate and kite as well as some sharks and monkfish. :thumbsup: Since that day I have a whip. \
