  1. The seven crystal trees combined with a point in the center of priffindas combine to form a diamond shape on the map, the symbol of seren.
  2. From my understanding, the enchantment gives the pick the 20% bonus exp, but it retains the ability at all times to auto-incinerate ores. Also, to not get destroyed by Grimsson's special all you have to do is run around the room for about 10 seconds and he can't hit you.
  3. The enchantment on the imcando pickaxe is kinda useless. Yes, it gives 20% bonus exp, but if it only lasts 100 charges, and you have to collect more imcando pieces to recharge it, then it's only good if you are using the lava flow mine, which would be silly if you have the levels to get the pick in the first place. Also wish I could keep my particle effect in the uncharged version, looks better that way, but it's a pain to keep it charged.
  4. Depends on how lucky you are, but probably 6+ hours.
  5. I beat it with my stats, warpriest, and a poly staff. Use asphyxiate whenever possible, use both the inside and outside of the room, and use safespots to kill dwarves as they spawn so as not to be overwhelmed.
  6. [hide]Make the cannon hit the pillar to make a bridge.[/hide]
  7. Do you need a gilded pick to start collecting pieces?
  8. What do you do about that charge you down attack? EDIT: I figured it out.
  9. I was wondering why mods on the forums and twitter were so silent this week besides "there will be an update this week." No one had anything to say about what it was, or even that they couldn't say. They were keeping it pretty tight to their chest, so I expected something surprising.
  10. It would make for a very interesting read..."Using the virtual world to explain US monetary policy". The 10% trading tax gets rid of money. Didn't realize there was a tax (I just glanced over the article since I'm in class). I stand corrected. It's only a tax on the second onward trade, which you should only encounter if you have buyer's remorse after paying gp for a bond or if you are trying to merch them, which is what the tax tries to prevent.
  11. Far, far, too soon to consider it a failure because of price drops. ATM, there are more people who want the potential GP bonds hold than want the bond benefits (membership, spins, runecoins), so supply is too great.
  12. I'm guessing the bonds will drop for a while while everyone buys them and sells them for gp, but then will rise back up once everyone has had their fill and bond supply goes down.
  13. Youtube HD Video - This video will cause high CPU usage, to view the video in a lower quality, please click . Nothing of note that we didn't already really know that I saw.
  14. They've tried doing fewer and/or smaller updates in the past i.e., 2, (One "large" and one "normal"), but it didn't go over very well. I don't remember how long it lasted, but it wasn't very long. It started in October 2008, but I can't tell you how long it lasted because BTS disappears for a year and a half shortly afterward. There was no mention of only two updates a month when BTS returned in June 2010.
  15. I saw it right away... But that might be because I'm a 10+ year veteran and know this game far, far too well.
  16. For fun, and to see people's variety, here are the foods I used to complete the challenge today: Half a summer pie summer pie biscuit purple sweet rocktail shark half a garden pie cooked sweetcorn tuna and corn scorpion meat watermelon slice sliced banana banana worm hole cheese+tom batta spicy crunchies tangled toads' legs chocchip crunchies (all of the above were from my bank, showing how much of a pack rat I am. The gnome items came from the little known gnome restaurant call token where you can have food delivered to you based on how many deliveries you make.) shrimps cabbage lobster cheese cooked meat tomato baked potato sardine bread chocolate bar The challenge was to have 28 different foods in your inventory and then eat one.
  17. Fun Fact: It seems like the dung tasks don't give coins right away, but if you then complete another task from a different set it will give you all the coins you should have gotten. At least, I think that's what happened when I transmuted something, finished a divination task, and got 40k+ coins at once.
  18. The potato one and the teleport away from the boss didn't finish for me until I defeated the boss.
  19. Supposedly prices aren't changing for loyalty items.
  20. What happened to the view equipment button while in the bank interface? I can't find it anymore.
  21. The overall mechanic isn't the problem, it's the adding of random skills making you better at it that makes it overly complex. Why should you take damage? If you take damage, it means you need a high constitution to train it well(I know the primary damage is % based, but it still seems like you are being punished for success). Also, prayers to decrease damage taken while training a skill? Magic to speed it up but increase damage taken? Temporary negative levels in unrelated skills? All of this together seems like the beginnings of a Divination mini-game rather than a skill. If you tie everything together like that, it makes it almost impossible to train as a stand-alone skill. What if I hate prayer and magic, but divination is my favorite skill? I can't train it because I'd take too much damage. While tying skills together is good in theory, I think it's a concept best saved for minigames rather than actually the primary training method.
  22. Easiest fix to quick hopping: Remove quick hopping. Sure it's a nice feature, but we lived 10 years without it and it's been abused to no end.
  23. I remember when dungeoneering was released, it was the same thing: "It's too slow." Look how that turned out. Though I doubt this will go the same way.
  24. If you've done The World Wakes, take them to the Guthix Shrine, otherwise talk to Orla
