Considering that neither HD-DVD or Blu-Ray is the confirmed format for the future, either choice is going to have possible draw backs anyways. That, and by the time one of them is confirmed as definate, the cost of the victorious player will be less than "right now". Also, there's still another 4 years or so left on the clock towards analogl to digital (and HD) broadcasting. People aren't going to be in a rush to bust out a few grand on a tv when they don't have to.

While that's true - problems arise when you try to use titles that have been out for months on both PC and xbox360 as launch titles. US$600 would get any person an upgraded PC more than capable of playing anything the PS3 can bring out, and then some. Essentially, they're fighting for the sales of those who do not yet own the game of either system (PC and xbox360). Sure they won't be on the PS2, this is true. But that doesn't mean they don't have it elsewhere. The only thing the PS3 really has going for it are the exclusives, since the bulk of their library usually ends up on PC anyways. If people aren't willing to pay the $600 for the system, they'll wait for a PC or xbox 360 launch because chances are it'll happen eventually.

I don't really care either way with spoilers. It's not so much about the result, it's about the process. So unless I get told EVERYTHING - it doesn't change anything :P

Option H. Microsoft has been drifting around long enough for people to have recovered from their initial sepending on that system to be capable of forking out more for a second - if they wish. And with the pathetically small difference is performance between the xBox 360 and the PS3, I'm willing to bet most people will opt for a Wii, both on price and because it's actually offering an entirely new component to console gaming that the other two can't even touch this time round.

No Hallowe'en here. We've had kids come round before with the whole "trick or treat" thing and I must've stood there for about 3 minutes before it clicked that it was hallowe'en and they obviously didn't know that no one in Australia actually cares for it.

You can actually just use html and ajax, without a server-side engine. Although the process is more complex than it's worth.

I just turn on Winamp and throw it on shuffle. I've had no problems working with ambient noise since you got the most junk in the uni labs. I can't work in dead silence, i end up looking for ways to get some ambient noise happening instead of doing my work :P
