  1. That's the problem with the MSBlaster worm, second you connect to the internet you can get it. I got it 4 times once just trying to download the damn patch. I eventually got the patch installed before I got the worm, but it sucked [wagon].
  2. Also depends WHERE it is in the room. My case is about 2 inches off the floor. I'm cleaning the filter in the front of my case every 4 or 5 days. If I moved it onto the desk (impossible) it'd be closer to every fortnight.

  7. I was under the impression that a human could die from lack of sleep faster than starvation - and the assumed time for starvation is 2 weeks.
  8. In the UK - around 130-180. Maybe a little cheaper if you take a poke around, but that'll be the average price range.
  9. First problem is that no every topic with a question mark in it has to do with runescape. And as far as i know, the help and advice board is for runescape only.
  10. Then have fun reinstalling applications and services because windows no longer knows they exist :P
  11. Mad: Probably over 5 years for you now. And I'm getting close to 5 years for me. That is pretty scary :-s

  16. And another thing I just remembered... Are your schools public or private? I know around here the private schools really are a waste of money if you want your kid to come out of it with a good education and good results. Sure they'll have good reslts, but most of the kids have no ability to do anything by themself when they hit university because their school used to spoon-feed them everything they needed, almost. At least in the public schools - espcially in grades 11 and 12, you were practically forced to do everything yourself. It was pretty much "here's the assessment, it's due on this date, go do it". And some of my private school friends were always like "this teacher is great, they give us the assignment, then half the information to complete it!" :uhh:
  17. Homework was worth 0% at mine. Best way to sort out the people who just wanted to "cruise on through". You could pass assessment if you didn't do homework. But in most cases it was a fail. The homework was there to give deeper understanding of what was taught in class. And the majority of assessment required being able to apply that understanding. Essentially it came down to... Application taught in class Theory taught in homework Application of theory in situations not taught in class used in assessment
  18. QFT And I use my room to sleep in. If I had to live in it as well, I'd need something bigger. Generally a 2-room app or bigger :-?
  19. I pretty much agree with insane here. And I was also under the impression that the American education system was quite a bit below par when compared to other 1st world countries, namely European ones).
  20. I actually looked up what German Measles were. I had no idea it was another name for Rubella... :P Now - what's hypocritical about it? Probably because Guantanamo Bay is the subject of activities that the USA claim to be against? :uhh: And the legalisation of any torture is taking them another step towards being one of the governments they are fighting so hard to take out.
  21. This is one of those times where I wish other users could ban other users #-o

Considering that neither format will be the confirmed format or in widespread use for another 10 years at least, the built-in Blu-Ray is not worth the $600 price tag. By the time the victorious format is widely accepted, players will be as cheap as DVD players now. Pick one up for under $50. And on the issue of the PSP being a mistake, it was more so the "portable media center" concept that killed it. They tried to do too much at once, and then found they were losing support left, right and center. UMD movies flopped hardcore. Homebrew did a better job at putting games out for the PSP than Sony did so there was more lost funds. And even the UMD format for games wasn't a smart idea. Get enough awkward hits and some owners were finding their disc being ejected.
