Can't and don't really care. My IT Project group for instance, there is me (white), Ahmed (Arabic i believe) and 4 guys of asian origin. None of which are from the same country. But two of which look very similar. I've known from for close to 7 months, and I have no ambition to work it out. Although I'm quite good at recognising real coastal residents from tourist from the cities :P

Current Wishlist The Mad Max and Crocodile Dundee boxsets don't come out till November 1st, so I'll probbly just lump them all together on one order and pick them up in one hit \ another $110 easily put away. And I'm eagerly awaiting a Terminator boxset :noes:

Females don't ask me out. They may have the urge, but never act. My first girlfield, she had been "crushing" on me for the better part of four months, and I knew about half way through the school year. I didn't do anything about it since I really didn't feel anything for her. To cut it short, 3 months later, I gave her her birthday card with a concealed letter inside. I just handed it to her, said happy birthday and left. Took her 15 minutes to track me down, but she admited that everything I'd written was true. When she'd started to like me - in that way, etc. And that was it. And the relationship just kind of fell apart. No one reall dumped the other. It was just a "this isn't working out is it?" ".... nah" situation. Second girfield, also the same. Feelings were there - did nothing. Lucky for them I was already in love with them. Just distance and such never gave us an opportunity so I never said / did anything about it myself - no point trying on a lost cause, right?. But we got a break, I took my chance and we were together for a year. Then that too fell apart when we only started seeing each other once a month, less so around end of semester. @state_of_mind: friend of a friend, probably. That's happened to me before. Had people call my mobile out of nowhere asking to go clubbing or whatever. And I'm a bit "what the hell?" till they explain they know one of my mates from school.

To put it simply: In the last 7 days I have played 46 hours of Battlefield 2. In the last 7 days, I have done about 72 hours worth of uni work in 48 hours. Balance for the win. That's not really the issue though. There is only a select type of games which can be effective in a learning curve, from an Education System point of view. Simulation, RTS and RPG is probably the bulk of them. And from within them, the number of games is probably small as well. With regulation, some of them are benificial. I know that RTS does enhance creative thinking ;)

The only times I really take notice of peoples use of english is when they're trying to get a point across - especially in debate topics. If they're failing at forming basic sentences then I'm really not going to take their post(s) seriously. And a real spelling nazi I came across was, ironically enough, in Battlefield 2 earlier today. My Squad Leader had just taken off in the attack heli, and he had the commander as gunner (why the commander took gunner instead of commanding is beyond me - damn noobs). I was his gunner of choice for the past 7 rounds, and for his sake I meant to send "I hope your got a good gunner there" via squad chat, but sent over team instead. And the gunner is all "what the hell is YOUR" followed up by a few replacement words which didn't make sense in place of it anyways. I HAD to follow up with: "I meant 'you' - idiot" Half the team sent 'lol' following that. Then he proceeded to spam my squad with the in-built put-downs :uhh: Seriously? Can people not recognise typo's when reading an entire sentence these days? End message: Reading and comprehension also useful. And generally a little bit more important overall.

Finest that sticks with my memory the most is proving someone wrong who said that you can't beat OOT with the original 3 hearts and no faries. Still yet to do it for MM or WW, but I'm getting there. Yea, that happened to me when I got my expert knife, as I told you already ;) In one round I snuck around behind a line of snipers and knifed them one at a time before someone realised something was up and turned around and killed me before I noticed they knew I was there :P Ended up with 28:8 kill:death in that round, most of which were from the knife and pistol :lol:

I got it on VHS, but I just wanted it on dvd since I've worn the vhs one to hell :lol: It's like one of them old school movies, where it crackles and skips all the time :lol:

Hoping to own a web applications company. I'm already so close to realising that ambition it's almost scary. I socialise with people already in the field, and have connections and capabilities that the average newbie doesn't have :P It's just a matter of setting it all up and selling myself to get business. If IT Project goes well in Uni, that might just get me over the line. And if that fails, I'll fall back to owning a dvd store - like Daan. Maybe we could create an international super-store. Any region DVD, any movie. If it exists, we'll do everything in our power to get it for you :P

3-5 hours. The occasional stout of 8 after a day or two of next to none or none. 30-40 hour days are common. Especailly around the time when a lot of asessment is due. Like recently.... #-o

I know there's a mod floating around that sorts posts so that locked posts are displayed at the end of the topic listings. I realise the problem with recent topics "vanishing" after they get locked, but this is more so thinking about the occasional "lock spree" after spam, it the topics stit around on the first page wasting space untill they get knocked off. And, it'd also make cleaning up somewhat easier for the admins when they want to clean up a forum of ghost pages also :P

On a clan forum for PirstonTale, one of the admins installed a mod to merge "double posts" together. It seems to work well there and I believe it does still act like a bump. With the second last post being merged into the last, or something. Updating the post time. Not sure how it works, but it still "bumps". That I have no problem with. But I agree with Matt about a button to bump a topic. If you have a reason to bump a topic, you should post. If it's just a bump just for the hell of it, get off the internet. Such instances of that should have the topic locked immediately.

Way to throw security out the window :uhh: And as was said before, they can't monitor the size of the images. I got 3 flash files running on my website, all 23kb each I believe. And they're used to load images that are only 130kb. Over the limit of tipit sigs yes, but the swf isn't. So it's impossible to enforce. And there's also the fact that flash can do a lot of harmfull things if someone wants.
