Yes, in the sense that we're all humans who have dreams, hopes, problems, opinions, etc. but we don't all share the same ones. Some have much different ideals than what you'd find in an average sample of people which makes these people stand out and it makes the word "unique" justifiable. My dream came true. I've become famous on a random and fairly unpopular internet site. But anyways, why is that?

He is intelligent but there are many others who have surpassed him. A lot of his arguments are flawed too. Like you, I prefer Da Vinci and he was someone who believed in god. No, I seem to be confusing nerd with geek. I honestly don't see a difference and even when I go by the definitions you guys posted on this thread, I fail to see how "geek interests" are cooler or more accepted than "nerd interests". Yes, being a geek nowadays doesn't get you wedgies and the likes as it did back in the 80's and it is a much more prevalent stereotype that you see more and more often. But it doesn't mean the geeks are getting cooler, it just means people don't care to make fun of them as much as they did in the past. There is still a negative stigma surrounding them.

If there really is an afterlife, I'll bet the best way to contact it is through a plastic, mass-produced board game from Milton Bradley! :lol: I don't believe in this kind of thing, namely because if it were true then it would suck all the fun out of life.

You've described the common constituents found in almost any typical television show minus the outer space theme. In fact, even Ben Ten fits under that. :| Go into high school with a Star Wars shirt. Your definition of what is socially accepted will change tremendously.

I play bass and my brother plays guitar, but we don't have a drummer or other guitarists so it isn't considered a band... but we do write a lot of music. I'd consider the style to be a mix between Pink Floyd and Tool since we got the whole otherworldly surrealistic thing going on.

I'm sure a nerd's interests are cool in the eyes of a nerd though.
