  1. I interpreted that two different ways: 1. You are either saying that we shouldn't believe things that are impossible for us to see until we see them, which is a contradiction. 2. Or you are saying it is the "less logical" choice because logic (in our terms) can only be defined as what we can possibly know. So yes, by the definition of logic, you would be correct. It is "less logical" to believe something outside the bounds of logic, but this isn't to say it cannot exist. Heh, this is interesting. :P

Yeah, because I reported him for referencing me in a negative light.
  3. There are also religious ideals that say it's good to kill people who don't follow the same religion as you. "Just because religion says so" is hardly a justification. There are tons of religions out there and many of them contradict each other. What if there was a religion saying it's wrong to disallow gay marriage?
  4. Yeah, it's called sleep paralysis and it feels like an otherworldly experience. I woke up with that one night and thought I was dead and become a ghost.
  5. Yeah that's true. I only hear it on television or when someone references a guy who is omniscient when it comes to computers.
  6. Unless they can think of a sound reason that isn't something along the lines of "cause it's nasty", I'd have to agree with Mage. If we're restricted only to talking about Mr. Savage then it's going to be a very boring thread. I'd say intolerance is very relevant to this thread.
  7. Perhaps if you only take the first cause argument into account, but when you look at things like the existence of sentience, our thought process, it's harder to believe that we are just an accident that had no creator. Especially when you look at DNA and how unique everything is. And like I said, there are going to be logical and scientific contradictions either way so that's why it makes it easier (for me at least) to believe something outside these limitations. I'd also like to note that when I speak of science and logic I am referring to the human's very limited perception. We can't hear what dogs can hear. We can only see a small portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. Some animals don't see in color. Transparent objects appear to be opaque to insects. Why can't it work the same way with our logic? I feel it's important to acknowledge our limits. If we didn't have any limits or boundaries then we would all be on par with god. I don't understand the "Why would god do this?" "Why would god do that?" objections. I believe in questioning things just as much as the next guy but it's on the same level as asking why hair makes people attractive. Even if god did exist, how are humans supposed to rationalize things on the same level as a divine being?
  8. The only reason I can think of is to make the game more realistic... Runescape... more realistic...
  9. That's only what geeks say to make themselves feel better about themselves. They feel more comfortable by proudly giving themselves the label of geek rather than if someone else did it for them.
  10. Wow, so much drama on a thread that's like 5 posts long. Anyways, on topic, I sometimes get that feeling right before I doze off to sleep and it wakes me up. Once I even visualized a ball flying around a town and it eventually reached me and startled me so bad that I jumped.

Let's start an Anti-Anti-Virus campaign! I'm still at 7%. Edit: Wow, scratch that. It jumped to 34% and found a trojan horse.
  12. 150 They probably just figured they kicked our team's butt enough so they decided to go easy and stop posting here. But to their surprise it gave B an opportunity (which will be taken 8-) ) to catch up.

what happened? We had a debate and one thing led to another. I wouldn't have done it if I knew it would cause him to quit though. :?
  14. 150 Just being mad at my team for not helping me. :( How about you?

Today I installed an anti-virus called Avast. It's been well over an hour and the scan is only 7% complete. :| It better finish before I go to school tomorrow.
  16. Yeah, those are the only table manners that I actually agree with. All the other rules are just ridiculous.
  17. Once school ends I'm gonna exercise, eat healthy, and maybe even start building some muscle. I hate to use excuses but school really takes a toll on my well-being and it makes it really hard to do that kind of stuff.
