I plan on releasing some music sometime in the future. My brother and I have some amazing material that will surely make us some nice income. The problem is that we don't have the resources, money, and extra guitarists to pull it off yet. But honestly I don't think I've ever been more proud in my life.

Now how about the amount of cases where nothing bad happens? I'm guessing somewhere in the millions. Besides, I'm sure a good percentage of that has alcohol use in part of the equation (and allergic reactions). Like I said, there is also a potential danger when it comes to pens yet every student is equipped with one. There is a potential danger when it comes to anything. The only way we can measure the true dangerousness of something is to compare the cases where it has been used responsibly with the cases where it has been abused.

It would be anyways. :P In my eyes, most of my schoolwork is half-assed crap because I don't feel like putting that much effort into it and would rather just get it over with - yet it's still usually better quality than the work of my peers.

We're not talking about whatever you choose though, we're talking about a common household drug which is rarely ever abused. If the student claimed that she had possession of a weapon then I could completely understand. There is probably even a higher death toll from pens than there are from ibuprofen.

Procrastination isn't bad unless you don't do it at all. The way I see it is that you'll probably have to rush if you wait until just before the due date, which will save you more time since you are getting it done faster than normal.

Can you tell me what doesn't have a potential for misuse? Even video games can be considered "dangerous" because there are so many cases where kids throw their lives away just to play a game. And this means they have the right to command children to take their clothes off, just based off of unreliable hearsay?

Then you're basing your argument on another flaw in the system. Schools shouldn't be responsible for deaths which they had nothing to do with. This is another problem that needs fixed.

When you are being searched that means their eyes are going to be all over your body. There is a world of difference between a strip search and dressing out for gym.

Some people are afraid of homosexuals. This is no reason to have homosexuals segregated away from the rest of society. I don't like the idea of using irrational fears as a justification. Needles aren't really my thing either, but I just turn my head the other way when I get shots.

You make it sound as if they are purposely trying to spread it. I doubt this is the case. They just don't want to be forced to do something against their will (although it's unclear to me why they wouldn't want to be vaccinated other than the risk factors).

Why not? In order to live in a truly healthy environment that would mean everyone would have to get the shots, and like I said, as long as there is no risk, I don't see any problems. The problem that you bring up sounds like nothing more than a "because I can" attitude.

It would, but only if it didn't mean we had to use so much money and resources to reach that point. I think it comes down to our different perceptions of the stigma around sex.

This is a competitive game - you're supposed to do things to get benefits for yourself even if it puts other players at a disadvantage. That's kind of the point. I doubt that you hopped every single time you saw someone in a spot with limited resources.
