Lately I've been dreaming about video games for some reason. Maybe it's a sign that I should play them - I haven't played any for a very long time now. Last night's dream was a Resident Evil style game.

If he doesn't have the requirements then he shouldn't be allowed to be president. Simple as that. I am required to pass Economics to graduate high school, no matter what my GPA or conduct is. I don't get any sympathy for something as trivial to the school as giving me a diploma, so why should our president get sympathy? He's the one running our country.

I think everyone has those moments when they hate their family. It's quite a phenomenon how easily people can forgive and forget when it has to do with their family. I've literally had fights that lasted seconds with my family and then we forgave each other and did something fun together.

1. I'd need a hideout for all the close ones in my life. Something elevated like a tree house or at least on a hill so we can see if other people are coming from a distance. At least two people would keep lookout 24/7 2. I'd recruit a looting gang for all our necessities like food and water. We'd need weapons and armor of course because the city definitely wouldn't be a safe place after the breakdown of society. We'd also use garbage bags to put the food in. 3. I'd have a select few scouters who would explore the world and send messages back to the hideout, informing us about events and other things going on out in the world. 4. I'd stay away from organized based. I would want very limited stranger contact if this were to happen.

I thought it would be obvious that we would need a pretty good reason to be better. You could argue that more stairs in a building makes it better, but more doesn't always equal better. There are cons to us being too strong, fast, and smart too. A baby would have the potential to strangle the parents. We'd be colliding into everything when we tried to walk. We'd also be a very bored race having infinite knowledge with nothing new to look forward to. I'm not saying we should retrograde. Just that it's pointless for you to answer by saying, "it could be better". I want you to explain to me what exactly constitutes as better and how. All of your suggestions quite frankly take the fun out of life. Like I said before, life isn't a mission - life is... life. I don't see what good it would do to allow people to live or die at their will. First of all, that would mean overpopulation. Secondly, it would mean we would never lose loved ones - it would spoil us and prevent us from becoming independent. Third, I believe some particular people are better off not around. It's a strawman to say that a world without food isn't a good thing? Man, what kind of sites are you reading from? I can tell you, they're wrong. My question was how could god have done a better job. Your retort consisted of something like "no food". Then my reply - "Actually, I think his invention of food was a good call". Tell me how this is a strawman. And to address your new point, you bring up suffering again. We've already discussed this. I don't think you understand what contrast is. I'm not well versed in the story but I believe God wiped out everyone but Noah's family to rid the world of evil - which is a bad thing to those people effected but a very good thing to those who survived. Dark example you used there, but yes. No it would not. You don't understand what contrast is and the purpose of it. If there were humans before language was invented yet and they lived on earth - with only night and no day, what would they think? They wouldn't think of it as night - they wouldn't think about that concept at all. But if day existed, they would be able to contrast the differences and two new terms would arise: day and night. I never said natural selection is random chance - I said the existence of the concept of evolution, life, genetic coding, etc. whatever you want to call it is nothing but a random chance by your own argument. What are the chances that life can exist with absolutely nothing creating it? What are the chances that death can exist? What are the chances that there are variations in genetic codes? We haven't discovered any patterns to their actions as of yet (trying to condone the scientific process here since you seem to abandon it when we talk about the two-way street of illogicality :P ). 2.) You are basically agreeing with me that something transcending our traditional version of logic can very well exist. Even after all this you still don't see the underlying message? Technically we don't need to do anything. We don't need to reproduce. Bees don't need to spread pollen or whatever it is they do. Yes, it is an opinion but that doesn't take away it's importance. The way I see it is that humanity should progress as much as possible. I think of life as a game. Try as hard as you can and accomplish all that you can.

Venomai, can you prove that earth is not the only planet with life? Flinging the burden of proof sure is convenient. I foresee you bringing up how you were only talking about the possibility of life instead of the actual existence, but that works for god as well. My intentions are not to prove god, but to prove the possibility and show that the idea of god isn't as illogical as many of you try to make it out to be. And going back into context, I'd like you to give me a geographical model/description of this "perfect planet" that god could have made. After all, Tryto was trying to tell me how god could have done a better job. The burden of proof is on you to show me that there are planets out there that have the right gases which can sustain life. This reminds me very much of how you ask for proof of god, even though he is beyond our logical grasp. Just because you can't provide unduly evidence that doesn't automatically mean it's untrue. Can we come to an agreement here?

Something else I would like to add comes off of Bruce Almighty starring Jim Carey. People pray and pray for ridiculous things so Bruce answers all of their prayers. Ironically, answering those prayers just made the people more upset. For example, tons of people prayed that they would win the lottery. Bruce answered all of their prayers - they all won the lottery - but at the consequence of having the sum of the prize money distributed amongst all of the winners. So as a mere human, it's quite a challenge to tell me how god could have done things 'better'.

Girls don't like when guys seem desperate, so try not to let her know that this bothers you. Why do you want to hook up with her right away anyways though? Give it a little time. As for hanging out with her, make specific plans. Like time, date, what you are doing, who you'll be with, etc. Also try not to make it date-oriented because she'll know that you're only trying to get with her. Try to ask her to join you on a night out with your best friends or something.
