  1. He wanted to inconvenience a stranger online. Pretty common if you ask me, so I can believe that.
  2. Agreed, it gets really annoying when people cry that "Jagex lies". You know who else lies? Your parents about the tooth fairy.
  3. It's funny how hostile people get over everyone else's Runescape theories.
  4. I like to rub dogs' bellies and scratch cats' chins!! \
  5. Happiest: When my girlfriend said the magical word "yes" to me. Saddest: When my great-grandpa died. Most boring: All the time at school when I'm not doing anything. :x
  6. I never claimed to be an expert at Buddhism. All I know is my Humanities teacher says that it is a philosophy rather than a religion.
  7. Because, would it be as romantic with the vampires replaced with hairy wolfmen instead?
  8. Not mature, it just makes you cool.
  9. Really? Explain... Because it claims to be a think-for-yourself-philosophy instead of "owing your allegiance to a deity". Still in my eyes, I'd consider any philosophical rulebook you go by as your religion. It's like saying that white isn't a color. I don't think just taking "God" out of the equation should mean that it isn't religion - but that instead it just isn't worship.

No, orbital gravity makes the world go around. Why so serious?

Maybe because life is better with so much drama. I mean why else would humans be geared this way? Conflict makes the world go round. You can thank seriousness for the music we have.

Yeah, RCing and WCing would be time consuming but then again skills like Herblore and Construction would balance that out when you have access to 2.1 Bil.
  13. Well, we are all pretty nerdy on the inside. 8-)
  14. If God did exist, I wouldn't see our lives as some sort of "test". I think of it this way. We'd all be fragments of "God" and he'd disperse us (or himself, rather) throughout space and then he could experience this great universe that he created via all of our unique perceptions. Kind of like The Sims where you can create an awesome amusement park and then be one of the tourists so you could enjoy the park as a consumer instead of the producer.
  15. In the grand scheme of things, everything has to do with luck. You don't really get to 'pick' how you are and how the world around you is. It just depends on how you were born and raised, which makes you lucky if it turns out for the best and unlucky if it turns out for the worst. Of course there is freewill and the simple mentioning of the term can sway you - but that doesn't contradict the fact that something other than yourself made that happen.
  16. Well, I don't see as much immaturity as I did a while ago but who is to say that this trend will be consistent? It might only be this way for a little bit and change again.
  17. It really isn't. It's just portrayed as such in the West. By 'the West' do you mean the internet? I don't know... I've always been pretty big on universal karma even before I knew much about Buddhism. PS: I don't think Buddhism even counts as a religion.
  18. For what reason do you think he blamed you before he blamed your mutual friend?
  19. Buddhism sounds pretty appealing.

But when you look at the big picture, how much weight does your argument hold? If we got rid of cars, drugs. and knives, millions of lives would be saved. Statistics don't bring up exceptions, other factors or controls, and stuff like that. They are far too broad. Okay then you would be right. Hypothetically, if you could change the mind of tons and tons of people to be anti-violent, it would make the world a better place. The problem is, until that is actually done, it is only an unlikely idea. What is rule #1 about bringing up red herrings? Bringing that up is a red herring in itself. This really clears a lot in between you and I. :) I'd like to see proper control, I just don't think it would be as easy with a place like the US. Wait, do you know how many anti-cig commercials we have here? A lot. It still doesn't do that much though. And I suggested that, although deaths happen all the time, guns aren't the only cause of it. Ya know... the whole "intentional vs unintentional" argument.
  23. They'd be unhot most of the time though.
  24. Iron Maiden - Murders in the Rue Morgue
  25. No way, I always thought too much of something only causes problems - no matter what that something may be. Plus I'd have a hard time living that long without my good looks. ;)
