I agree with Warrior. It really has to do with the flare and the actual feeling that his music gives me as opposed to how complicated or hard it is to play. But I suppose different people will have different feelings about his music, so "the best guitarist" is always going to be a highly opinionated matter.

My post wasn't disproving his example, it was showing him that he took it out of context (what someone else has said). So read the entire argument so you don't get confused.

Nice job taking things completely out of context! :thumbsup: If I say: "Vegetarians don't eat meat," that implies that vegetarians - as a whole (all) - do not eat meat. It does not imply that only some vegetarians eat meat. Translates to: Anyone who claims to be annoyed and does it anyways is an attention seeker. Do I really have to sit here and translate everything to you people? Is English your second language? I am the owner of skill capes. I'm not the only exception to this "rule of attention" - I'm sure I'm speaking for many other players too. So I'm the only player who does emotes? No. They wouldn't ask in the first place if they knew the answer was always "No". So you really want to continue this then? Well, I hope you know what you're getting into. ;) 1. He's making the assumption that it doesn't actually annoy people. Hence the words: "act like" I can tell you for a fact that it does annoy us - in the same way players asking random questions annoys a level 138. No, nothing serious, which is why we're not going to change how we play the game - but annoying to the point where we will complain. 2. He's making the assumption that since we do the emote, it means we crave attention. Hence the words: "like the true attention [bleep] they really are" I don't do the emote for attention. I do it to rid myself of attention - to get them to say, "Oh nice," so they can move on and leave me alone instead of repeatedly asking me. It's still annoying though. And when I've had enough of doing it for that day - I just move away from them and don't do the emote. But like I said, that still doesn't get rid of the fact that it's annoying. Personally, I like how Hunter Cape looks over those other ones you suggested. Also, it's a good reminder to myself of what I accomplished. If I am about to give up - I'll just look at my Hunter Cape and say, "Now wait! If I got 99 Hunter, then I can accomplish this goal too." Like I said, I even wear it in my POH when no one is around. I think you missed the good stuff. Now they're just trying to weasel out of admitting what they said. Too bad we got quotes on here.

Fine, then while we're making suggestions to prevent complaints: Quit playing Runescape. You apparently see "attention hogs" all the time, so why don't you avoid the problem and just quit RS? Since not wearing capes is the only way to prevent emote beggars - then quitting RS is the only way to prevent seeing "attention hogs". Your own words can be used against you. In fact, using your own reasoning, you could actually say that wearing anything that isn't the most efficient means that you are a "showoff". Yes folks, that means that even Cav-wearers are also "showoffs". I'd rather take the one prayer and suffer the consequence of getting bombarded by emote beggars. That's my choice - not your's. And let's get off the subject of stat bonuses for a second. Am I not allowed to wear a cape for it's looks? Hunter Cape is by far the coolest looking cape I own. I wear it everywhere I go - not just in crowded places. In fact, I even take it to my POH! But what?? No one's there except me?? OMG! I'm wearing it without showing it off!! But I thought Monkey and Klutz said that was impossible?? No, Monkey and Klutz were wrong. Some people do wear it to showoff, but that doesn't mean all of them do. I think it's always been this way - your friends probably just grew out of it and started agreeing with the crowd. The reason it's like that is because of the community of :ugeek: 's. Not everyone is like that - some people are really cool, but generally speaking Runescape doesn't really have that many "popular kids" playing. Runescape is strongly associated with the stereotypical nerd.

The ignore list doesn't prevent more people from asking in the future. Does it? By the way, I love that card: "I bet you're gonna try to get the last word in (even though that's what I'm attempting to do right now.)" Alright, then what is the point of achieving goals in a single-player game? And for that matter, if I wear my cape to showoff to others then why do I bring it to places no one goes? Why am I training at Black Demons with it right now even though no one is here? If you can argue that wearing a cape shows that you are an attention-seeker, then I can argue that wearing anything shows that you are an attention-seeker. I'd also like to know why it's okay to be annoyed about people asking to borrow your items, but it's not okay to be annoyed about people asking for your emote.
