  1. Whoa, I really like this one. Yeah, that is a nice one. Makes me feel good about myself. \
  2. To be honest, the repeating cycle is the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of death. It might not be the same life over and over again. You might live a totally different life after you die. I really don't know though. It reminds me of the question: If we were given an infinite amount of time, would every possible thing happen? (If that were true, and we lived different lives throughout eternity then wouldn't we eventually be doing repeats of our past lives?) The truth is, no one here knows the answer. So why does it matter what others believe? Every single thing spoken on here could be right. But none of us will ever know until it comes. I never said everybody would find comfort in that theory.
  3. I actually find comfort in that theory. The theory that does scare me is the one about if you stopped existing completely. I would like it if I were trapped in my own world for eternity - it's my reason for making the best of things. Sure, we'll have to relive those bad times again but we'd also get to relive the good ones too. Plus I don't think you would even remember anything from your last life. But like you said, we'll never know until it happens.

I was just using browsing as an example. :?

Yay, Monkey and I agree on something. They really only meant on an extreme level though - as in macroing to train your skills. Just think about their Offensive Language rule. The word "noob" is offensive, right? But yet you will not get in trouble for it. Technically, yes, Fishing and browsing are an example of AFKing - but not to an extreme level that would get you in trouble. You'd get in trouble for macroing (AFK to the extreme), not for Fishing and browsing. And just compare macroing to a person being able to train for 5 minutes at a time. They are very similar.

On a technical level, AFKing actual means: "Not paying attention". On WOW, you can be at the keyboard as long as you want, but if you're not actively playing, then your character sits down and "AFK" appears above the head. It's kind of like "lol". People really don't laugh out loud that much. It's meant to be taken symbolically rather than literally.

Exactly. That's why adding onto the logout time wouldn't work. It's against Jagex's intentions. However, when you pause, you can't train but at least you don't have to type in your pass and pin again if you go to get a drink.

This is exactly what I mean about the "Can't beat em, then flame em!" PS: Sorry you had to see this Robert. I, for one, didn't think he would continue this feud onto other threads.
  9. Zierro replied to Roberthree's topic in Rants
Yeah, they probably won't since there are so many other things they could be working on. All I'm saying is it's not that idiotic of an idea - it's completely possible. Other games have it and it worked. And I know it's not relevant to Fishing, but it would still be helpful for those who want to take a short break and not logout. And by not debating, he means he doesn't want to argue with me since it got him between a rock and a hard place the last time we did it. PS: Just logged out cause I was on this thread too long.
  10. Zierro replied to Roberthree's topic in Rants
Yeah, that's assuming Jagex were complete idiots and wouldn't do anything to combat it. The pause could only last two minutes - people could take bathroom breaks, get a drink, etc. Then you can have a 30 minute cool-down so people don't keep pausing and abusing it. The main reason they log you out was to fight macroers.
  11. I have a question. How did you guys wind up being friends in the first place?
  12. I see you around fairly often. 8/10
  13. Zierro replied to Roberthree's topic in Rants
I hate it too. They should have a "pause" feature or something. It also really sucks when you're at GWD and you have to take a bathroom break. :x
  14. Earthquake. It almost always came in handy for me. :D
  15. Some people just love taking things out of context don't they? Maybe you got the wrong idea about me saying, "You lost." Let me rephrase: "You were wrong." Better? Anyways, the Rants forum is not for telling me the reason why I do the things I do, thank you very much. You said I wear my cape to showoff. I said you were wrong, and I even gave you proof! Now instead of responding back - you just chose to start flaming. Now you're just avoiding things again. I'll ask once again, nicely, please give me a response challenging the existence of self-satisfaction. From the looks of things, I just don't think you can. Maybe that's the real reason why you decided to stop posting...
  16. That's exactly what you want, or else you would have stopped posting. Again, an irrelevant response that is only meant for insulting me and not actually debating the topic. And why? Because you lost. That being said: I still await an actual response challenging what I said about self-satisfaction. Not a response saying something along the lines of, "0mg ur stupid!"
  17. "If you can't beat em, flame em!" Is that what it really has come down too? The thing is, I've proven you wrong with one word: self-satisfaction. Yet you continue to ignore it and still keep going on about things that aren't even relevant. You can't accept defeat. That's why you resort to flaming.
  18. I agree 100%. What's his deal? We all know people only accomplish goals to showoff. Not like there's a such thing as self-satisfaction or anything. By the way, may I ask why you aren't wearing your level 99 Spamming Cape?
  19. Clan Wars has no rewards though. I don't think it's fair to have one team winning every game and gaining the rewards, while the other team loses all the time and gets nothing.
  20. This I disagree with. RWT is nowhere near as big of a problem as it used to be. Bots were flooding the game, people could just trade 50m cash in a matter of seconds, drop trading was possible, etc. BH makes the RWTer's job way more complicated. Back then, bots were everywhere. The problem was prevalent - we saw what we were dealing everyday. Now, it's more of an underground thing - you only ever see it rarely at BH. It's still a problem, yes. But compared to how things used to be, you can consider the RWT updates very effective.
  21. If i was stranded on a deserted island beach, i would bring these 3 items along: Gameboy, Gameboy game, and a huge pack of batteries. Entertainment > Survival If i was going on an airplane trip, i would bring these 3 items along: Shirts, Pants, and Shoes. Don't wanna be naked on an airplane ya know. :uhh:
