  1. When I was playing last night, my strategy became just that, standing by the south gate and killing the high level creatures on the square next to me. The creatures that go to the gate are already locked on to attack the knight, so they won't attack you unless you fight them first. They can't pass through you so its not very hard to keep them away from the gate. I could protect the south gate by myself at level 93 combat. If your team is organized then winning should be easy. Have one person covering each gate, a couple rangers or mages to pick off the creatures who attack over the walls at the knight, and a couple others to kill shifters who teleport to the knight. Everyone else can attack the portals. Ancient magick, as fun as it is, is unnecessary. Most of the creatures that are bunched up aren't much of a threat unless they are right by the knight. You often can't attack what you want to, because some low level monster is in the way and you can't mage over them. It's also difficult just staying alive when you get all the monsters attacking you.
  2. My tip for telekenetic: Use energy potions, equip only air staff and boots of lightness, and run the whole time. :)
  3. When I heard how supposedly easy it is to get, I spent some time giant killing to see if it really was common. I didn't get it once in about 200 giants. I've had varying luck with getting random events though. The only 'rare' one I've had recently was a drill demon. Believe it or not, I have never had a sandwich lady come after me...
  4. The snails attack with range... my ring of life saved me the first time I ran into them. I do think there should be a bit of warning before five level 100+ monsters in a multicombat area attack you with range at the same time.
  5. I knew I was standing on top of that rune you dropped... you know you have a bad connection when you're clicking continually and yet someone else still runs over and gets the item under you :)
  6. Did two trips so far: Old guy, medium path, only a bog: 18 silver bars Little girl, hard path, ghasts and giant snakes: 75 harralander, 26 toadflax. By the way, the knowledge base guide is wrong in the reward quantities, I definitely got more than 70 herbs, and I see others have too. And you will lose items if you die, where would the danger be otherwise?
  7. rsn: Beigo I was debating whether or not to post, since I'm fairly well off and don't really need the money, but it would still be exciting to go to a drop party like yours. I have been playing since Nov 2002, and have come and gone quite a bit since then. I always play honestly and would make sure whatever items I get would go to someone who could use them, whether me, a friend, or people who are around me when I'm feeling generous (and aren't begging).
  8. Sorry, I was half done writing that last post and realized I couldn't actually trade my mature ales when on a free server but posted anyway... I'm tempted to renew my members again soon, maybe even tomorrow, so I'll let you know if that ends up happening.
  9. I've made mature ale three times now... made a lot of greenman's ale before getting it mature though. I have Slayer's Respite(m) Mature Cider Greenman's Ale(m) I'm fairly certain they would just raise the skill by 2 instead of by 1, I've only actually used the mature cider and it raised my farming by 2. My members expired so I can't go trading them right now, I'm not sure when or even if I'm going to pay again. Note: it's called 'mature cider' and not 'cider(m)'
  10. 16,277,288 9,179,242 56% combat based... My skills are very spread out I guess, a lot of midlevel noncombat skills, but none really high. Then there's the whole raising magic without trying problem that happens when you go to the barrows too much :?
  11. First thing I did was teleport to Camelot. Then I did Merlin's Crystal Quest since it was the first one I found. For you, I would recommend doing quests to get 43 prayer first, then a lot of other useful quests will be much easier.
  12. 1) Fletching 75 (never fletching again) 2) Farming 68 3) Herblore 66 4) Thieving 64 5) Slayer 61 6) Agility 59 The skills I train most right now are Farming, Herblore, and Magic. Prayer and Runecrafting I rely on Guthix tears.
  13. I stupidly lost my ahrim bottom attempting a suicidal trip to the dagannoth kings, protecting my farseer instead. Anyway, a level 76 ends up getting it. A level 100-something who was there too convinces the 76 to give it to him to return back to me. He pms me to tell me that this is what he is doing too, but then he tells me the 76 refused to give it to him. I end up finding the 76 and he tells me he did give the robe to the 100. I try bugging the 100 about it and I actually catch him in lumbridge repairing it. He eventually blocks me. I wasn't that concerned about the loss, I just couldn't believe how dishonest the guy was for 900k.
  14. I'm a quester, I don't plan on playing much anymore for anything but the quests. Every time I start playing again I do all the quests I missed to get full quest points again. All quests are easy enough with a guide, but the better ones (with good puzzles and few random items required) are more enjoyable without one. Mourning's End 2 should really be done WITHOUT a guide, unless you don't know how to begin the puzzle. In my opinion it is the best quest in the game (except for the dwarf at the end, I hate him!). As for Desert Treasure, I finished it a day after it came out at 82 combat using my 70 magic to kill all the bosses. Easier than Monkey Madness in my opinion.
  15. Mimes: 5 (still need 2 emotes) Foresters: 1 (got top) Drill Demon: 0 Frogs: 6 For me frogs seem to be much more common than the rest, I got two of them while smelting in Port Phatasmys not long ago.
  16. Don't go telling everybody about the super restore pots! I don't want snapdragon seed prices to go up. Restoring 25 prayer is false, they restore prayer similarly to prayer pots. For me super restore pots recover 21 prayer points, and prayer pots recover 20 prayer points (53 prayer). It's 22 and 21 respectively while holding the holy wrench.
  17. I felt poor. After almost three years of playing (with some long breaks) I had only accumulated about five million gold pieces. So I trained my slayer to level 55 and went to the barrows using the magic dart spell. After about 175 trips I counted eighteen barrows pieces and one dragon medium helmet. I sold most of them and wasted the cash on a purple party hat, Ahrim's robes, and an abyssal whip. Now I only have five million gold pieces left again. I REALLY need ten million gold pieces. Okay, I don't need it, but I will take it if you give it to me (and give it away again). RSN: beigo
  18. The frogs attacked me twice so far, once on the first day. Next time ignore the frog, you can get the frogland music then.
  19. 4 mimes, 2 mazes total 2 mimes at black knights (f2p), 1 at kalphites, and 1 at mummies. still need shirt and boots, and 2 emotes.
  20. My level 3s... Wont shut up - made it autotype stupid jokes since I couldn't live up to the name myself  Banrunescape
