  1. Ive decided I will coach on the physical side: NEVER FIGHT UNLESS THEY THROW THE FIRST PUNCH!!! Never bait a bully into fighting, try to avoid it if possible. Only fight back if he actually causes physical pain. If he shoves you, just walk away. If he grabs you and threatens to punch you, or actually does...thats a good occasion to defend yourself. If he grabs you by the shirt, grab his arm with both hands. Your dominant hand should be farther up the arm. Plant your feet, dig your shoulder into his chest (bringing him as close as possible) and flip him over your dominant shoulder. The surprise will loosen his grip, and the fall will not hurt him much. Immediately assume a defensive stance (mine is my dominant arm and foot facing him, standing sideways, and "dancing" a bit). If he is smart, he will concede. If he persists, do not punch him. Trip him, grab his arm and throw him again, or give a nice chop to the throat (but not too hard...just enough to wind him). Always assume a defensive stance. For one, it keeps you out of trouble with police or school officials. Two, by going on the offensive, it takes you down to his level. Kicking and punching (as well as the so called "primal attacks" are offensive forms of violence. Throwing and tripping, or weak taekwando moves (like the light chop) are defensive moves aimed at knocking the opponent off balance instead of knocking his teeth out. I have only been in one non-training physical fight ever. I threw him and elbowed him in the area just under the rib cage. That knocked the wind out of him and he withdrew. I let him retreat, and the principle chose to let me stay in school. If you are forced to fight, know that fighting back can get you in trouble. Only fight enough to get him to stop. Never keep attacking him after he has conceeded, that is bad form and you have now become the bully. Remember, if you can talk it out or ignore him...DO SO!!! Never bring yourself to violence unless your physical well-being is threatened.
  2. It was better on Dreamcast :P. Nah, its a good game.
  3. If you are working on a degree or something, I would reccomend the Reserves for any of the services. It will pay for your school, and you can still have a normal job and life. If you want to just join after high school, make sure you are interested in a lifelong career. You may like it, you may not.
  4. I really like the PK idea. My earliest memories of Runescape were back in the days when the great cabbage wars were being fought (no joke, clans fought over the cabbage patches because of the quick and easy healing) and player bandits marauded the weak. My idea would to have the wilderness zones follow the road. The road might be 1-5 wilderness, spreading out and increasing as you venture from the road. Gangs could set up along a well travelled shortcut (such as Draynor woods or Lumbridge forest) and attack bold travellers. Also, towns would be open to PKing at say, level 10? If a player is attacked, however, all the guards in that area would smack down the attacker (make the guards level 91 Paladins if you want). We could have backstreet muggings and planned assaults. Basically, it would be really cool, but if it was implemented, everyone and thier mother would whine about it.
  5. I am going to double post for emphasis. When dealing with bullies, DO NOT become a bully yourself. Hurling abuse back, or a flurry of punches will not solve anything. Showing that you can defend yourself from both forms of assault will go a long ways. Best offense is a rock solid defense.
  6. Only in the eye of the beholder. Ive been bullied in the past. Ive either ignored them, or in the case of a rather violent guy: beat the stuffing out of him (we are actually friends now, go figure). By my senior year in high school, I was a rather popular fellow in school. People admired my patience and ability to take crap, and after my fight with the bully, nobody really wished to do that to me. Fighting back with words can make things worse, it may not. It depends on the bully. What matter is how you carry yourself after ignoring the abuse. If you run away with your tail in between your legs about to bleed tears, it does not portray a good image. If you walk away with your head high and a smile on your face, it shows that you are strong and do not take abuse from anyone. Really, when it comes to verbal bullying, you decide your fate. The more you take abuse proudly, the more desperate and idiotic the bully is going to look in the eyes of others. You can defeat him with silence. As before mentioned, physical bullying is another matter. If you cannot possibly win in a fight, or he has injured you sufficiently to require medical aide, it is time proper to tell someone about it. If its just a few bruises from fisticuffs, learn to fight back. Learning martial arts is wonderful excercise, teaches self control, and self defense. The bully will lose reputation when you turn the tables and show that you can defend yourself (do not hurt him, just block or parry his attacks and use light punches or kicks to knock him off balance). Trust me, I was dealing with bullies when you were in diapers (if even). Remember, its all about attitude when dealing with verbal abuse. Keep your head high, your spirits raised, and a little surprise in your fist...bullies won't be able to touch you.
  7. Or just say something back instead of turtling. When has running from a problem EVER solved anything, in the history of mankind? Saying something back tells them that they are succeeding in getting under your skin. Deny them the fun, and you needn't worry about them. Besides, taking a few insults can improve other's opinion on your self esteem. By ignoring the taunts, you show that you have nothing to prove to keep yourself from being bullied.
  8. In order to beat a bully, there are two things you can do. NEVER tattle on them, that will just invite trouble from others. 1) Ignore them, they will get bored and move on to someone else. 2) Train yourself, and fight back (only for physically abusive bullies, if they just tease you, please only resort to method 1.)
  9. The problem is, many people have the same name. If John Smith of Remington, Illinois is put on the no fly list, the John Smith of Remington, Texas might get that error. Humerous, but not surprising. I would rather accidents like this happen than a terrorist incedent.
  10. You actually realize that recruiters have been going to high schools for 20 years. My fourth grade had a few military presentations, and that was 10 years ago. The NCLB policy lists that in there, but it does not mean every high school student must join the military. My hometown built a skatepark with government funds, so they have to let everyone in. If it is the Government's money, they have the right to do whatever they want. I think that recruiter is a moron, but I do not disagree with letting recruiters have access to schools. The military is INDEED a career, so students should be given the option of opting for that career.
  11. Might as well mention a few that I have thought of. Armor of Earth: 10 souls, 50 earth, 1 cosmic Caster gains 200% armor at cost of moving at half speed and double increase in weight. Negative armor bonuses are doubled as well. Level 60 mage to cast. Blink: 20 laws, 5 souls, 20 smoke Caster is quick teleported between two random spots on the screen for 30 seconds. No teleporting animation, just shows two of the same player. Player's attacks only count as if there was one player. Damage accuracy is reduced by 65%. If the player moves, either they or thier avatar will move in a random direction, while the other goes to the spot clicked. This spell ahs a cool-down of 5 minutes. Level 99 to cast.

It's funny how we give them a much more decent and painfree death than what they gave them thier victims. They are lucky that we spend thousands of dollars to kill them instead of $4.95 US for a couple of bullets or a length of rope. You can not compare abortion to the death penalty. An unborn child did nothing wrong, a murderer did.

It took the game development team almost three weeks to beat thier own game on San Andreas for bug testing. I am hoping you did not spend more than 9 hours at a time playing the game like they did.

    1. I thought you hated Bush  2. Genocide :? ? Genocide is something like racial cleansing I believe. Trying to make one race superior, like what Hitler did. But I don't think he should have had the death penalty. They should of let him live the rest of his life in prison, instead of what they did. Why should he get special treatment. According to US Law, if you commit a felony (grand theft) during the murder, you get the death penalty. Its a CAPITAL crime, which is penalized with death. He is lucky it didn't happen in Texas. We have a system set up where if there are more than 3 witnesses who can prove your guilt, you go straight to the front of the line. Thousands of convicts reform in prison. Some make it out on parole, others face thier punishment. Tookie committed one of the worst crimes recognized in the United States, and he paid for it.

    Double Post, sorry.

It also gives the message that you can avoid punishment by atonement. When your guilt has been proven beyond doubt, and you apparently enjoyed killing people...you should at least apologize. If I went out and shot your mother in the back twice while laughing, then blew your sister's head off while she begged for her life, I would go to jail. If I wrote 4 childrens stories on how murder is bad, would you forgive me? Would you be standing outside the prison on the night of my execution with a sign that says "FREE HAWK!!!"?

For me, its just meat with hot sauce and a dab of Tabasco. I'm not really a big fan of salad. Of course, this was a Kebab made in the US, so I probably got supersized fries and a large Diet Coke with it or something :P. I had one when I lived in London 11 years ago. I don't think I liked it too well.

Don't forget that those last few sentences automatically mean that your a racist here. Showing favor to one race is just as racist as kicking them in the face. In a system of equality, everyone should be treated as the same, not be given privaleges or disadvantages because of thier skin color.
  20. And let us pray that it stays that way.
  21. The polite thing I use when Jehovah's Witnesses show up: "Good afternoon sir, have you been saved?" "Why, yes I have." "Really, may we come in and discuss your faith?" *I whip out Bible* "Nah, how about we do this out here." One of them usually looks at his watch and says "err, we must be off now."
  22. Wow your ignorance stuns me, Who besides OSU did Texas play that was even remotely good, Sorry Barihawk but your Raiders aren't as good as everyone thought, but the still can put up some good numbers. USC had a harder schedule then Texas, they played ND, on a side note the OSU vs. ND should be awesome, They also played Fresno State, Oregon, all three of those teams are pretty good, and Reggie Bush had huge games which led to wins. ON your Vince Young is such a Great Athlete, Two words Michael Vick. He may be a great athlete but in the pros he will be destroyed. No offense taken. After much discussion, our team decided that they were not on track enough. After that, they pretty much concentrated solely on practice instead of goofing around. Our loss to OSU was a good one. Their defense is uncanny. And who cares what the schedules were. It does not matter since you play Conference anyways. (to the quoted poster, not tintman.)
  23. *Obviously does not see other Kessen III fans out there* *hides* It's a great tactical strategy game, and has impressive graphics and movies. The voice acting leaves something to be desired, but overall it is a nice game.

I am really getting sick of the Justice system in America. We seem to glorify criminals and make celebrities out of them. Like Micheal Jackson, Martha Stewart, Scott Peterson, Tookie, that one guy who happened to be the 1000th person to get gacked... While we are all portraying the criminals as these famous champions of Justice, who is thinking about the victims and thier families? Liek oh noes! They were the enemies of teh murderer, so they must be teh bad, since teh murder is s00000 g00d. Seriously, when you execute that many people and brag about it, you deserve your punishment, even if you have a God moment. I wonder if the argument would even be happening if Tookie was white. Nah, since that means he is just another white trash scumbag who obviously deserved it. Being black in America just makes you a champion from the streets.
  25. I feel for you, putting up with Bobby Knight :P Honestly, i think Vince Young should have gotten it, if you take Reggie away from USC they still have Lendale White and Matt Leinert, but take Vince away from Texas and who else do they have? Besides people only voted for the last 3-4 games which Reggie dominated, but hey As for the bowl games comment: I dont feel like watching the Rose Bowl, ill pass on it, just doesnt have that flavour it needs cause everyone knows Carrol > Mack in coaching Agreed on what will happen if Texas loses Vince to the draft. I dont mind, as it could result in Texas Tech making it to the Rose Bowl. Not like we would win or anything, but it could happen :P. And Bobby Knight is a nice guy, as long as you don't piss him off. I actually had dinner with him one night...well...sat at same table but not with him :).
