Isn't that applicable to Macs too nowadays? I haven't seen the amount of control Apple lets you have to the full extent, as I have tried only for a few days, but if you can't change OS settings then I am not interested in using a Mac OS and is one more reason for me not to suggest it to someone else. By the way I don't know if you've seen but I sent you a PM yesterday.

Is the implication here that French is a hard language? It's not really. :3 I'd rather learn French than English any day. I didn't mean that French was a hard language, I find that English is easier. My first language is French yet I am better in English, which only took 6 months to learn and get fluent in it.

I wouldn't go for the air personally, especially if you/your sister are going to be moving around a bit with it. I would go for the pro which isn't as fragile as the air.

I'm not a hater. If you want a mac, get one. I would definitely get one if it was affordable. And about reliability, there is a simple reason for that. Apple has to make drivers for very few hardware. Windows has drivers for millions of computers with different hardware. Pulled the numbers out of my ass, but still, that is the reality here. Plus Apple doesn't make their macbooks backwards compatible while MS does. Except I'm not going to suggest getting something overpriced when I had very good experience and reliability from Windows/Linux based computers.

Well, today I went to the garage to see if I could get an appointment for my car. So far it looks like it's either a sensor or the catalyst (or whatever it's called in English) that are giving trouble. Car has no strenght at all right now. At least my 10 year old car with around 295 000 Km never broke down.

Not sure if anyone here has a lot of friends doing it, but it's another one related to Facebook. Quotes, actually I'd say Facebook quotes. You know the ones people write, often for cancer and such, and they ask us to pass. All I have is examples in French, so I won't search for an English one, but the fact that it's pretty much all that's new when I log onto Facebook, friends writing or sharing this kind of quote, gets old pretty fast. On the other hand, Google+ looks like Facebook did 4 years ago, and I feel like I'm going to love using G+.

If specs were everything, I wouldn't be using my Mac right now. Specs are not everything, as you said. Brand also has something to do. If you had a Dell or emachines, it's normal that you're having better experience with a Mac, but if you had an Asus, you'd regret buying a mac.

Meh, Macs aren't worth the overprice. Just in class, one guy has a $3000 Macbook (Pro I think) while the other guy has an Asus republic of gamers with much better specs that he got for $1400.

I don't know why you find English being one of the most difficult languages to learn, since from my point of view it is one of the easiest to learn, it is so simple compared to a language like French.

Depends which brand your windows based laptop was. My 3.5 year old Asus is still working like a new one, and only formatted it once to upgrade to Win 7.

Got internet on optic fiber. It is BEAST.

Might be some program doing updates. My desktop used to do that and now that I have no automatic updates on any program anymore, it stays on hibernation.

I regretted buying map packs for all the cods except cod4. I won't be buying the MW3 map packs and still haven't bought all the BO map packs.
