Was going to post the same thing. Even if the conservatives were my choice, I didn't vote for them because of the Harper gov't in the last elections. It's a good thing that I already very rarely download my programs, but it is also very rare that I buy new software. I usually go for the open-source equivalent. Open-source is very good nowadays, for example VirtualBox performs much better than vmware, and can even run Win 8 while vmware can't. Btw Win 8 is available to public through MSDN.

Is visual C++ the same as the one inclused in Visual Studio? If it is I'm not sure what was your original code, but the way, several years ago, when I first started programming (in college), it was with visual studio pro and this is how we did it. First has to be a win32 application, and you have to choose empty project. This is what it looks like (except I didn't keep the comments and added one) #include <iostream> using namespace std; int main(void) //void being optional { cout << "Hello World.." << endl; return(0); } Of course with this it will only stay open if you run it from Visual C++ (if that really is the name of the program). Write the same thing I have put in the code tags (as copy/paste can sometimes paste the space characters and such) and let me know if this runs in your program or if it still gives you an error.

Personally i would never buy a car that's over 75k KM. I don't think a car with 200k on it would be a great buy. Depends if the car had good care. I would not go under the year 2000 for cas, but my 2002 Echo toyota has almost 300k KM and I only have put $300 CAD in repairs on it this year. I bought it from my parents, and they want it back when I buy a brand new car in a couple years. They didn't think the car would last that long, and I've had it for 3 years now. They're probably going to give me the full amount I paid for it too!

What I hate about black ops is the hit detection. But it isn't that much of an issue anymore, now that I have fiber optic internet. It still is bad that it is only when I got optic fiber that the issue is now minimal, but it is still there. I almost never get games with campers, but a lot of the games I shoot through people. It was every single game before I got optic. isn't for that game that I got it but shows that it is a huge issue probably for hundreds of thousands of poeple, and is probably why they like MW2 better. My reason for liking MW2 better than the other ones is that cod4 is unplayable and WaW also has hit detection issues.

Lol, I downloaded it on Xbox before downloading it on my PC, yet I have only played it on PC so far.

I think battlefield games last too long. I got the beta, I run it at a good framerate on all high at 1080p, but it kinda gets boring after a while and the match isn't even over yet.

Finally bought that Asus G53SW-A1. Costs me around $1300 CAD but should last me the 5 years I want it to last, even though right now it is a bit overkill for college.

Might be buying an Asus G53SW-A1 laptop for college. My 3.5 year old Asus F7Se is not good enough for college, which I already have to do some workarounds to follow the other guys in my class (and teacher). It also does not support virtualization, which will play a big part of the end of this college year and a good part of the next college year. Guess my old laptop is too old now.

I'm a programmer-analyst (actually was, decided to go back to college in networking to get more knowledge).

For Optic fiber internet in my region it's not bad, it's the small package. Same price as the highest DSL package (or whatever internet by phone line is called) that I was previously on (where I was getting 25Mb/s down and 1Mb/s up) but the upload and ping make it much easier to play games now.

Should probably call the isp for that, or even change the isp. I personnally changed my isp when I was getting 3Mb/s when I was paying for 10Mb/s.

I believe that's enough bandwidth for gaming, as long as you have nothing else using the network. What are they trying to charge you for it? I had 1.5Mb/s and it was not quite enough for gaming. Also, bad ping is high ping.

Or we could go fly countless amounts of flags at the parliament, fly them in their way, to protest against that bill.

I think there should be no jail time, but a hefty fine.

VB5? What the hell? Are you sure you're in the right place? The college I go to teaches VB.Net 2010 (although I got my papers when they were teaching 2008). vb6 is already outdated and they're teaching you vb5... :shock:

Yeah, that does make sense in itself, but I disagree with the bill. They should have consequences for preventing the flying of the flag, but not prison.

No, it's not fifth grade. It's my extreme cynicism in legal bodies not getting anything done in a remotely timely fashion, when it's already too late. Yes he could just beat the kid. Although more subtle methods are more satisfying. And some people just don't get it unless there's physical consequences to their actions, that's just how it is. From my experience authorities are useless and the only thing you can do is handle the issue yourself. I could easily list at least two posts' worth of examples of this regarding me alone. This. In my previous post, I was going to include much more about how disrespect is often solved only by physical confrontation, but this post sums it up. Well there are a few reasons why this makes you sound like a [bleep] to the majority of people. Reason a) You seem to be of average physical stature, which makes these sorts of "Yeah I'd just confront him physically" posts sound like unwarranted bragging, especially since this is the internet and there's almost no reason to post it anyway. Reason b) The stereotypical "Authorities are useless" horse [cabbage]. Yes, we get it. You watch the news and read posts on internet forums and see police brutality and sluggish legal cases and all. This is not the majority of legal cases. There are tons and tons and tons of these same cases that you see taking forever or what have you. Reason c) If for whatever reason you are wronged in some way and have tried and failed to get assistance from authority figures, there are so many better ways to go about it than the old "yea ill just go beat him up *tightens belt adjusts holster tries to look tough*" For one, avoid whoever did it. Problem solved. What's done is done. Prosecution is an illusion used to justify petty revenge. It's over. If they are done bothering you, then stop being bothered. Did they continue harassing you? Try the authorities again. You may now have a case / enough evidence. If not, always remember that you are within your rights when defending yourself. I've been bullied a good part of the time I was in school. Authorities ARE useless.
