Everyone who was selected to be at the conference was divided into 12 mythical cities. All 12 cities sent 1 delegate to be interviewed. The governor and his opponent were also sent to be interviewed. I was selected and I guess I impressed those on the board for the interview. There was a general in the army, a colonel who was in charge of the program, a circuit judge and the governor elected last year at the conference.

So I don't know if anyone has been aware of my absence the last week, but it was because I was at the American Legion Tennessee Boy's State. It was a tough week but I was one of the two delegates elected out of close to 600 to go to Washington, D.C for the American Legion Boy's Nation conference. Only 2 people per state (except Hawaii) send delegates, so there will be a total of 98 of us there. I will most likely get to meet the president and the American Legion pays for flight, food, sleep, and gives you extra spending money. The 2 delegates who went last year ended up getting accepted to Dartmouth and Princeton so this is like a treasure for my high school resumes. I was shocked when they announced it since I usually lose but I am glad that my hard work is finally paying off :thumbsup: EDIT: Also I will get to meet the president of the United States.

Head cook at Mcdonalds? :lol: Nope. :) Senior Assistant Manager - I'm still the boss of all 50 of my employees, and now I'm also the boss of the 7 other managers. ;) One position away from being in charge of and running my own building. Also took on the position of Theatre Technology Assistant (in charge of all computers, registers, IT/troubleshooting issues), I'm still the head of our multi-million dollar projection booth, and I'm in charge of the Human Resources department (hiring, firing, giving performance appraisals and raises for all 50 employees, employee relations, etc.) Finally get Paid Time off and a yearly vacation, health benefits (dental, medical and life insurance) and I just signed up for a 401(k) plan. Just a step above head cook. :mrgreen: Haha that sounds awesome. Good job man :thumbup:

I really want to see that soon! I think I'm going to go after exams with the guy I like. He asked me if I want to see it, but I might want to bring another friend along just because I'm slightly nervous about just going with him. But this sounds like a good laugh. So excited. From a guy's perspective, that will make him feel incompetent and feel kinda like you don't like him enough to go alone. The theater is public so it's not like there aren't other people around. At least that would be the way I'd feel. He's a strange guy, I don't think he would really mind to be honest, but you might be right. It's just sometimes there are awkward silences when it's just us, when I really have no idea what to say. With a mutual friend those are filled and the whole atmosphere is just nicer, but I might be making it awkward myself. On topic, today I bought some earphones for my German Listening exam on Wednesday. (Longest exam I'll ever have done, 2 hours and 30 mins) I should probably read the label before I buy things though, because these earphones are bass-enhancing ones, and though it makes music sound great, it might sound a bit weird on Wednesday. Yeah I wouldn't worry too much about awkward moments. If you want to date him you need to be able to keep it up just between the two of you. Also I've taken like 10 exams longer than 2 and a half hours so far and I'm only finishing my junior year in high school o.o

I know you're a student and all, but even if I don't agree with what Charest is doing, what you guys are doing has to stop. It's already enough that you pay less tuition that what I do in college which is already cheaper than university. You and your government lost a year and a hell of a lot more money than if the manifestations hadn't lasted this long. You students (even though I'm a student myself right now) are not the king of the world, and no one has to respond to you. They do respond because the agree with you (except the government), but this is really getting out of hand. In other words, stop whining. Harper is already doing worse to all of Canada and no one is whining. I'm not going to add any more to this subject even if I get quoted. I agree with you. That tuition is credibly cheap and you're still complaining about it.

So I went on a date today as a part of a group of people. I picked my date up from her house and gave her flowers. We had fun. Before this we were texting quite often with many smiley faces involved. She told me she feels safe when I'm driving so that makes me happy. She lives like 2 minutes from my house and when I dropped her off and told her goodnight, when I got home she sent me a picture of the flowers and told me that they look good in her room. We're not a couple yet but I hope we will be soon. I haven't really dated in years so I'm new to the club, but she's never had a boyfriend either. I'm just updating my progress right now.
