  1. Just to start, I'm no expert in any language, I just like to do it for fun. Recently I've been building a website (personal website, just for fun, not looking to launch anything). Currently I have basically two rectangles. ..._______________ _|______________|_ |..................................| |..................................| |..................................| |..................................| |..................................| |..................................| |..................................| |_________________| ..|______________| There's a very rough sketch of kind of what it's looking like. The bottom and top (smaller rectangles) are orange, and the main middle one is blue (they're both gradiented...if that's a word...no, no it's not...). Basically what I want to know is if it's somehow possible to extend that design vertically depending on the length of the content put into that area (without manually increasing the size of it). I tried tables, but it's not working too well, so I'm not thinking it's possible, but I figured I'd ask someone who's had waaaay more experience than me.
  2. If it's possible (by that, I mean we have the time to do it), I'd support it.
  3. Thanks for the responses, and just for clarifiction, I did mention in my OP that it would be for body weight exercises like pushups, pullups, etc.
  4. I was curious as to if someone's doing a few sets of say push-ups, or pull-ups, etc. Is it best to go until muscle failure each set (go until you can't do another rep), or set a certain number of reps, or percentage (i.e. 50% of max, 75% of max, etc)?
  5. There's a busted boat on the iceberg that has nets and ropes, so you don't need to bring your own.
  6. Yes, you can boost to make Overloads. You can pot to make Extremes, as well, so you can start at 85 if you want. Most people stop about 91/92 and boost to make Overloads.
  7. The GE will still exist to give a ballpark, but it's whatever you feel it's worth. If you can find a buyer/seller that agrees to your price, that's what it's worth.
  8. This is generally the most recommended path.
  9. No, that would actually be a bad idea. Everything needs to have a negative, or weak point to it so it's not too overpowered.
  10. I think his complaint comes from the fact that viruses contain bits of DNA/RNA that they use to override the host cell's genetic structure, allowing them to reproduce. Poison on the other hand is much more general in that it's a substance that disturbs biological functions, but usually on a molecular rather than cellular level. This is getting very off-topic though, and I do think that the latin origin of virus meaning (Roughly) poison does help to bridge the gap of meaning in this context. Besides, it's not like rs is known for its realistic ways to solve poisoning, I mean we have 1 generic cure for EVERY poison (Not including 'disease') in the game. OT: Yeah, Torva isn't gonna replace my bandos anytime soon. Not a big fan of degrading armor (The reason I got bandos in the first place), it has the same str boost, and it's not like I need the extra lp or def while slaying. wise woman/man.... also bandos is still one of the best armours... i only want the new armour ro show off not to use it, lol That's exactly the reason I bought bandos when it crashed (I bought it at it's lowest point, unintentionally, that just happened to be when I got on and bought it). I don't do much melee combat (just plan on leveling some certain skills and going back to maging at CW), so it was an easy few mil profit during the panic.
  11. Yep, I like the update, this stupidity just irks me to no end. Plus, the poison effect isn't linked to her saying this... I think. I got to agree with you here, I have no idea, I'm just thinking of reasons why they make her say it, other than they thought it'd sound cool, granted, that's probably be the reason I made her say it. Again, I have to agree, it is. Ha! That made me laugh (no sarcasm or anything towards you intended, it actually did make me laugh...I have no idea why)
  12. A virus could be a potential poison. And there's really nothing wrong with it at all...it's a single phrase... A virus is different from a poison, really, in physiological turms it's like saying... "Let the fire freeze you!" just to try and sound cool. If you think about it, not really. A poison is something that tends to destroy, or deteriorate health. A virus, such as a computer virus, is essentially the same thing. It's goal is to deteriorate the "health" of your computer, by replicating itself over and over, gathering information it can, and ultimately harming your computer. You can't look at things in a narrow scope. You need to connect dots some times. Yes, lets "connect the dots" to make anything added fit the context of the game. Maybe they will introduce vaccines next. Time to go to the cow pen and start checking udders for the virus so we can make one. Haha, it's already been said she poisons you. Let the virus flow through you fits pretty well. Is this really your only complaint? If so, focus on those more than a phrase.
  13. You know, I did not know that. Did a little googling, and apparently it is. So I suppose you can look at that connection in a narrow scope! Ha

  15. Let the virus flow through you? What the [bleep]? A) Makes no sense for anything in Runescape to understand what a virus is. B) Even if they did, how would a monster deliver a virus? C) How on earth does a virus flow? Seriously Jagex, that's the best you could think of? Virus? Ugh, there is so much wrong with that. A virus could be a potential poison. And there's really nothing wrong with it at all...it's a single phrase...
  16. Dumbbells will work quiet well. And door way pull up bars are only about $15-$25 around here, which really isn't much, and I use the [cabbage] out of mine. If I get up to go grab a snack, I bust out a set, if I go to the bathroom, I do a few more, if I make eye contact with the bar, I'll do some.
  17. You don't need a gym membership. You can buy some cheap equipment (some dumbbells, maybe weight bench, doorway pullup bar, or even resistance bands to do everything). If you can't purchase the equipment, nothing wrong with working out with no weights. You won't get huge, but you'll burn some fat and you'll at least hit a plateau of muscle without weights, which is better than what you're currently at. Pushups (and variations), crunches (and variations), flutter kicks, squats, lunges, wall sits, etc. As for the running, you can jog in place, do jumping jacks, plyos, anything to get your heart rate up will help boost your cardio for now, then once the conditions outside can get better, then you can do actual running.
  18. This is true. I don't understand why anyone would think going to the gym at 16 would do damage. At all. In fact it would help you. The popular misconception that hitting the gym stunts your growth because of younger kids hitting the gym and been giving steroids and the such by parents to become mini-hulks.
  19. Quoted for emphasis. If you're starving yourself, then you're losing weight yes, but you're becoming unhealthy. With your diet, it's fine the way it is. Starving yourself is not an acceptable compromise to lose some weight, especially when you're not in any great need to.
  20. Flutter kicks do well or hip flexors as well.
  21. LRC is much easier than granite powermining, profits nicely for afking a skill, or you can combine smithing and magic with it as well.
  22. I never realized how early I actually started playing. They were good times, very good times. I still enjoy it, though.
  23. I'm going to throw something in here. Now, I'm not sure if the CW combat is any different than PKer combat, but I very much enjoy playing it, and I can distinctly remember one time when I was bursting a guy in full arma, with mage protect prayer, and 99 mage...and I was still hitting him quite decently. He was getting very irritated with this. Granted I was wearing Ahrim's with SOL, not sure if it makes any difference though.
  24. Right there makes it worth it, in my opinion.
