This is very true and not a lot of people realize this so here's me pointing it out. To me, movie starts were all doing some sort of crazy Californian yoga slash odd diet slash light weight lifting programmes to get the bodies they have, but it turns out they do intense body building. I only really started gaining noticeable (only to myself mind you) muscle mass is when I started on the protein shakes. Another thing, the guys from 300 trained for what, 6 months before the film? And it was ALL DAY LONG. They still weren't Arnie, they were built as [cabbage], but they don't exactly walk around lifting competitively. The actors trained for four months with Mark Twight who got his exercise methodology from CrossFit.com (he even did a couple of certifications for them). As such, the "300" actors and stuntmen did routines that built functional physical fitness which translated into looking really good on film ie the FORM followed the FUNCTION. If you're able squat 300 pounds, deadlift over 400 pounds, run a mile in 5 minutes, jump onto a 2 foot box 50 times in less than a minute, etc, then your body is going to look good. PS: It wasn't ALL DAY LONG. The physical fitness portion took less than an hour a day. Even the director showed up in the mornings and performed the workouts the actors would be doing later that day. The rest of the day for actors and stuntmen did involve learning formation, spear work, rehearsal for events when it came time to film, etc. My mistake, I must of mis-remembered an interview with Gerard Butler, but I'm pretty sure it was over an hour, not by much, but it was still intense.
  2. I'd say it's worth it. Speeds it up a decent bit, plus all the extra benefits.
  3. In all honesty, why not go bursting rock lobs for that last level? It'll gain a nice number of charms, and alching is really outdated.

Nate, You did not mention anything specific, that's where the confusion is. Bloodstain is correct in saying that just doing anything is not very smart. That's not saying you said that, you just didn't give specifics, and in most cases when people ask questions, they'll need specifics. Bloodstain, Tim is on leave, so he'll most likely check it when he gets time.
  6. To be honest, most usable quest items are re-obtainable. So I'm not quite sure about this.
  7. I think it's fine as is. It's not necessarily your combat level as what you can do with your combat level.
  8. Thanks! This has been edited and you have been credited! (P.S. I miss you) (P.P.S. That was a 44x40..you're fired!) (P.P.P.S. I was just kidding, still miss you!)
  9. Scroll of Cleansing definitely. Like the above said, if there's nothing else you want first, you can get herbicide (scroll of life should come before that, get some juju potions, and you can farm torts for a nice profit between dunging). I wouldn't worry about a bonecrusher.
  10. You're just on a dry streak.
  11. Yeah I'm from South Dakota, so I can get plenty of cold running in.
  12. That's exactly my thinking. If I cannot do a rep in good form, then I cannot do another rep. Even during my PT tests for the military, there's many guys I see that go down like 3 inches, some sag their back and barely move, I mean, it's almost embarrassing to see it, and I'm not doing it! I do my pushups the same every rep, and I go until I literally fall onto the floor in good form.
  13. I can take an example for a US Marine Sniper during the vietnam war. He crawled through enemy territory for 3 days straight, crawling through the grass where the NVA was patrolling constantly, he made the shot, killed the NVA general, and snuck back without being detected. If he had fallen asleep, or slipped into a coma, he'd be dead for sure.

Could wait til free trade comes out to ignore the junk trades.
  15. I'd say watch the graphs, if it goes from a decent jump to a very little jump, I'd sell them then, as they're about to fall.
  16. Get members? I have a hard time playing f2p, to be honest. You can try out some of the f2p mini-games, find a specific goal maybe, create a pker/staker for when wildy comes back, go around trolling people in game if that floats your boat.
  17. I was under the impression you have to chip a different tab (not sure which one) to make it redirect you to trollheim.
  18. You know, I watched something on this subject. They're just spraying the oil with a chemical that's not cleaning it up, it's just making it sink lower so you can't see it, and that chemical is dangerous, and they've been told to stop by the EPA, but didn't stop using it. And I think someone within the BP circuit bought the oil cleaning company that's currently cleaning the oil several days before the accident happened, which generates more income than the oil itself.

This. You get the herbs, which sell quite nicely, plus maples, which are decent, plus crushed nests, plus seeds (with the chance of magic seeds, yew seeds, and other expensive seeds to put you over the top). Even god bird eggs if you wish. You also get a few things of jewelry, but those are pretty insignificant.
  20. I started learning C++ on my own mostly my junior year of high school, and with the help of my computer teacher, I ended up getting second at a statewide programming competition, and helped organize an actual C++ class at the school, but now in College, we're taught C. I think with your coding background, C++ won't be too difficult, as most of the basic principles are still there, and it's mostly syntax you have to learn. You can try using DevC++. I think Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Express is free (at least it was when I got it), and pretty good to get the basics down. I started off with www.cplusplus.com, decent tutorials to help get you started.
  21. There's a new term for me lol. Just off the top of your head, do you know how much CNS stress the average body can take, or how to figure it out for your own body type?
  22. Ha, well glad you got it figured out. I'll talk with some other crewbies and see if we can't clarify that in the quest guide a bit more.
  23. What exactly (word for word, verbatim) does your quest journal in-game say?
  24. What exactly would the reasoning be? Is there any noticeable difference from say, doing muscle failure for 5 sets, as to opposed to maybe doing...50%-75% for 5 sets? (For this example, use push-ups and pull-ups)
  25. This is an interesting site. No way in [cabbage] I'll win, most likely won't even try out, but he does seem pretty helpful, and can give one something to shoot for.
