  2. 1/10 Since I've seen you once now. Welcome to Tip.it :) Yeah right. Without my mod avatar I'd be just another user. Correction then: Everyone not in the Runescape Forums knows you. ;) And you're all over the Forum Games Forum too.
  3. The way I see it is buying these resources from other players is what keeps Runescape from changing from a MMOG to a single player fantasy game. In a sense all the players providing items and resources for each other is a way to play the game cooperatively together as one big huge team. Heck if everyone had the same "Gather everything myself" type of mind we may as well just be playing a computer game by ourself. Being a self made player just seems like another way to say "I want to play Runescape but I wish it was single player". To me it just doesn't seem like the spirit of the game. Of course after saying all this I have to mention that I have the utmost respect for these type of players because they work a lot harder to achieve all of their levels and are often just trying to challenge themselves. So really "self made players" aren't a dieing group of players, they're just a group of players who play the game in a way it wasn't really designed for. They want to do things differently and prefer to work by themselves. There's not many of these players because Runescape naturally draws people who want to play the game with others and not get everything done by themselves.
  4. I agree with you there. It would be helpful to have this image and this one in one topic for easy viewing. I have them saved to my desktop but I'm sure most users don't. If there was a topic for these images more people would be aware of the limits and there would be less confusion.
  5. You could use a Bandit's Brew for +1 Thieving. Another option would be the Sq'irk Juice from the Sorceress Garden.
  6. Check out Dan's Blast Furnace Guide for a way to quickly train smithing that profits. You might want to check the prices to make sure they haven't changed to much but you will most likely be able to train and make a small bit of cash.
  7. Yep, pot before the quest and you should be able to start it. :)
  8. 9/10 Everyone knows Kcdragon. :)
  9. Hmm I have too many add-ons to post them all but here's a few that I don't think I could go without. Xmarks- Backups all my bookmarks on a server and allows me to sync them between multiple computers, this ad-in is a lifesaver and so handy. It might support syncing ad-ons and themes soon too. Fast Dial- Just like Opera's speedial except for Firefox. Ad-Block Plus- Not really much to say, I haven't seen an add in months. Canadian-English Dictionary- I want to spell things the Canadian way. :)
  10. Great articles, I particularly enjoyed the "Forgotten Updates" one as I agree whole heartedly with it. Many people just don't realize how useful many of these small updates and how they have impacted everyone on their day to day scaping. The bank all feature is something that saves me a few seconds here and there but when added all up turns into hours of extra play time for me to do the things I enjoy. Another person above me has mentioned the helpfulness of the leprechaun's noting ability, it has made farming so much better and easier to harvest crops and herbs. Now I can spend less time banking, and more time playing. These little updates are slowly taking out some of the tedious parts of the game and overall are making things much more enjoyable. : As for "Easier? Really?" I really agree with the last statement. Enjoy the game and have fun, don't go wasting your time on sulking over things that are no longer. Instead look towards what might become and how that can make the game better for you now.
