The Black Keys last night. Best show of my life. Seriously. Best moment: The crowd singing along to Little Black Submarines. Truly a magical thing to witness.

I've really liked the past 2 episodes. Hopefully they keep up the action.

Saw Young the Giant last night. Other than the songs that were released as singles, most of their other material was really too mellow. It was kind of boring. The band that opened, Walk the Moon, stole the show. This is the 2nd time I've seen them open for someone (last time it was Fitz & the Tantrums), and this was their homecoming, so there was a lot of energy and enthusiasm. Black Keys w/ Arctic Monkeys next Friday.

I didn't like Octahedron, but I thought Bedlam in Goliath was pretty good. Pridgen was my favorite drummer, so I'm sad he's gone. The new drummer has big shoes to fill in my book.

The new Foxy Shazam album is fantastic. I missed hearing about the album release party here in Cincy by one day. I was pissed. I'm looking forward to the new Mars Volta album, although I hated the first single that they put out from it. Also the new Queens of the Stone Age album. I'm sure there's more, but I just can't think of them right now. It should be a good year for music indeed.

Having seen Andy McKee live, I completely agree. Don Ross and Antoine Dufour are both damn good in that genre too, all drawing from Michael Hedges style. I know it's basically a huge Mars Volta circlejerk here sometimes, but seriously check them out if you want to see some amazing drumming. Also, Holy Shit.

Lots of good albums on this list. I'll definitely be checking out the ones I haven't heard soon. More comments coming after that. On the EoDM, I've always been a bigger fan of Peace, Love, Death Metal than Heart On. It has more of a raw feel to it. I've only recently gotten into Foxy Shazam. Could not agree more with that pick. Great album. Is it weird that I'm not a huge fan of Rated R? I've always preferred Lullabies over it. Making it Songs for the Deaf>Lullabies>QOTSA>Rated R>Era Vulgaris in my order of liking. Yay! Another Bends fan!

New Van Halen album is actually pretty good. Worth a listen.

Yeah basically this. Peyton has had the better statistical career (so far), but the rings don't lie. I doubt Peyton will win another Super Bowl before he retires, and Eli still have many chances to come. That being said, it's still a family of winners.

2012 MusicNOW Festival lineup was announced today. Headliners Nico Muhly, Sufjan Stevens and Bryce Dessner w/ Pedro Soler and Gaspar Claus. Yes please. Make that 6 shows already lined up for this spring. I'm running out of money.

You've probably heard of the Local Natives, I'm guessing. Really neat video. Music starts at 1:32 Yup, I've listened to them a bit. That series of videos is pretty cool. Although I must say that some of the shooting angles annoy me. EDIT: Listening to some Andrew Bird. A friend offered me a chance to see them live in a month or two, but I can't make it.

I've been on such a Fleet Foxes binge. I just love the harmonies.

I have tickets to see The Black Keys in March with the Arctic Monkeys opening for them. That's my big concert for early spring. Before that, I'm seeing Young the Giant with Walk the Moon opening for them. Then there's another Candyrat Guitar Night that I'll be attending. May or may not be seeing the Joy Formidable.

Turning point in the Bengals game was that interception return for a TD off the deflected pass. Oh, well. Young team that I didn't even think would win 4 games. Can't be unhappy. That Broncos/Steelers finish was :blink: . Yeah. That happened.

Saints are the hottest team out there right now IMO. Patriots and Packers' defenses will hold them back. Steelers are too beat up. I see it: Ravens vs. Patriots in the AFC Packers vs. Saints in the NFC Saints vs. Ravens Super Bowl Saints win. And for the record, Bengals over Texans this Saturday.

The UC player that cold cocked the Xavier player got 6 games. The guy that curb stomped the same player while he was on the ground got 6. A bench player also got 6 and a freshman got 1. The Xavier player that pushed the UC player to start the fight got 4. Another Xavier player got 2, and a third got 1.
