I'll say, he's definitely up there, if not past, modern day musicians like Don Ross and Andy McKee. Don Ross and Andy McKee are great - both by themselves as well as together. I had the chance to attend their label showcase, without Don and Andy sadly, but it featured Craig D'Andrea, who I think is going to develop into a great player himself. Actually, I was listening to Don Ross - Live in Your Head yesterday, which I think is phenomenal. I much prefer him completely solo, as in no drums or effects.
