Great topic, now for some one to battle me! :)
  3. I hate it when ppl dont give me CC so here we go. I think this looks more like a charicature(sp?) than an actual rl portrait. I think the nose is a little large, but other than that I like it. As for the painting, it look paintednot really realistic, but I think thats what you were going for.

Well, here goes nothing, K, I've been thru a lot of forums lately, and a lot of them have weekly battle or sig of the week threads. This made me think, Tip.it should have this!! so here it is I'm starting it up! Rules: 1. 2 people enter(for now) and make a sig on a random thing at first.(will be decided later). 2. Voting will be done by just posting the username of the sigmaker you want to win. 3. After one person wins, they pick the subject of the next battle and can choose to enter or not. FIRST PERSON TO POST PICKS THE SUBJECT! And I guess I'll stick my neck out and be the first to battle, so who wants to battle me? :?
  5. fool care to explain
  6. Well two guys from our school recently tried out for cheerleading and got in, I think I know why too....it just involves girls with skirts above their heads.
  7. ice-ring.deviantart.com  nah i only have a few and most of them aren't wallpaper sized, but yeah DA is prolly THE best place to get a good wallpaper.

M3 want marshmellow!one!1shift1337! K I love the bomb and the text, its great, but the background doesnt seem to fit the sort of anarchy feel or something like that. Maybe you could do sort of a lined paper background with the lyrics sort of faded in there. just my opinion.
  10. I've kinda been neglecting tip.it for a while, so I decided to come back fresh with some brand new works!weeee! So here are the links: http://www.deviantart.com/view/18041745/ http://www.deviantart.com/view/17822445/ http://www.deviantart.com/view/17784422/ http://www.deviantart.com/view/17734304/ http://www.deviantart.com/view/17732005/ http://www.deviantart.com/view/17412229/ please comment either here or DA. CC pl0z :)
  11. I bought one and I see NO use for it, anything you do with a tablet i think you can do just as easily with a mouse. As for pixel sigs, the lines come out really thick and ugly, I dont know about digital painting but I've seen many of them done just with a mouse. My opinion: use a mouse :)
  12. On my 28k connection I block EVERYTHING, if it slows down a page it is blocked, I have half the sigs on this forum that i dont like blocked, but I think if I had DSL or cable I'd let the non intrusive ads stay.
  13. Well even if you aren't using the guide, you are still coming out with the same result as me.
  14. I really don't like it... The thing is that I see you are using Alyn's guide, and you are having the same trouble as me, I get that spotty unrealistic look. I really don't know how to correct it, I've tried every blending mode and it still doesn't look right...bleh :P
  15. 1. The first step to making a trendwhore grungish abstract is to either download some brushes and renders or make your own. In mine I used the Hellzent brushes, found on Deviantart. You can also download many renders on DA, but if you are skilled enough in a 3d graphics program, more power to you :) see the end about making your own grunge brushes. 2. The next step is to place your render on the bottom layer OR you could make your render into a brush by pasting it into a new document and go to edit>define brush. Next just brush the render around or just leave it alone. 3. Next make a new layer, in this layer choose one of your grunge brushes and brush around a bit at about 80% opacity then choose a new one and brush around with it at a different opacity. just do this over and over till you get a nice effect. 4. now break out your eraser tool and brush the grunge layer a little bit to expose some of the render junk. 5. Now go to your render layer and go to enhance>adjust color>hue/saturation and mess around with the color til you find one you like. do the same with your grunge layer. 6. for text, pick your font and type the name, simplify the layer. then either distort it or not. finally add an outer glow in the layer syles pallette. 7. o ya and you can download some tech brushes, I use some of Metrostation's brushes off DA most of the time. just put the tech brushes around the image make it look good you know. NOW NO ONE CAN HASSLE YOU ABOUT USING A BUNCH OF FILTERS!!WOOO! How to make your own grunge brushes! first grab an image you think will work. or get a texture off or some random website. now grab your magic wand tool or paintbrush selection tool. Option A: just randomly click with your magic wand selecting peices of the texture then hit edit>define brush and BAM! you have your brush! Option B: Take one of your existing grunge brushes and just click around selecting peices of the texture and you have another brush (this is still sorta cheating but not as bad as just using the downloaded brushes.) NOTES! hmmmm anything else I need to add.... o ya I am using PS elements 2 so someof the places of the tools may be different in the standard versions of Ps. If you find anything to make this tutorial better please tell me and i will add it. SCREW GRAMMAR and CAPITILIZATION! ;) I may add some pics later but I'm too tired to do it now. NO FLAMES OR I WILL SHOOT YOU!
  16. been there, seen it, but its a pretty good site.
  17. Hmm close race between, Peter Jackson Stephen Soderburgh(sp?) George Lucas
  18. Ya I did this without a reference so I'll prolly go back with a pic and correct the screwups. Thanks for comment :)
  19. Final sketh before coloring? http://img129.echo.cx/img129/9017/clown8hf.png Slight gore warning!:?: Well there it is, I think its my best ever, though its not for a sig :) I was going for good anatomy mostly... Now coloring is gonna be a 3itch but oh well I'll try. I was also going for something somewhat like that on http://splatpixel.deviantart.com
  20. I like the character, though I've seen it before just now it has a bg and border... Its cool. wooo 1200th post :)
  21. just cruisin, knockin back some juice boxes on the way to a pizza party....just cruisin.. no wait thats that stupid Saturn commercial. seriously though, I do just like to sit on my bed with some music on while it rains outside my window. really calming.
  22. I recently heard of a website called Dodgeit. When I heard it was useful for signing up for spamming links that may or may not work (like free stuff sites)i knew I had to try it. but the when I got to the site and saw that it wasnt passworded, the fun began, just typing in common names brings up other peoples accounts for your reading pleasure. Its not too nice but it sure is fun!
  23. Thanks for the guide...I must start working out harder...
  24. well that could work, but then i'd still have to code the table :?
