When jagex made FoG they meant it to be for stratigic (sorry about the spelling) gameplay not just "oooh lets just sit the middle changing prayers and healing" as then all the low levels wouldnt be able to play. If fists of guthix was MEANT for you to stand in the middle wouldnt the arena be 2 squares next to each.
