Alright, if you want to build an application to check the prices of multiple items, the JavaScript I posted won't work very well. If you want to interface directly with their storage (I'm sure they use XML or JSON, I don't think it's worth it for them to use a database for this), you'll have to get in contact with them. Then it's just a matter of downloading, parsing, and presenting the information.

We're saying that she should be balanced with level 70/75 gear in mind. The fact that people use higher leveled gear on her is because there aren't any high-leveled bosses except for the kalphite king. She shouldn't be made harder because of that. It just creates more problems.

I'd recommend using this as a foundation for a chrome app.

Armor Nerf or Monster Accuracy boost system?
Why do you think that you should be able to camp one monster for hours without banking (or even looking at the screen, in your case)?

63% on a ranged enemy at 90 defense sounds perfect, actually. Perfectly balanced would be 50% if the monster is the same style as you, so the extra 13% is a really good boost to your dps for using the right style.

It's stupid to think that Nex is meant to be killed with level 80 gear. It drops level 80 gear. For the progression to make sense, level 75 gear should be adequate for Nex. Anything above that should only provide a damage/defense boost that lower levels don't have the luxury of using. Bosses should be balanced with gear 1 tier below what they drop in mind. Likewise, it should be easy enough to kill the kalphite king with level 80 weapons because he drops level 90 weapons. The idea is that if a new player wanted to update his or her gear, he or she should be able to progress neatly and evenly up the tiers of bosses to do so.

I agree that the risk vs reward is fair, but it is still reasonable to be frustrated by it. When you get killed by a griefer, you lose 150k xp (about an hour and a half worth of your time if you spend it on mining) and they gain almost nothing. They're just doing it to cost other people time, which is extremely annoying. It's one thing to have dangerous NPCs hanging around, it's another to have punks there just to waste your time. I see you agree with my points then. Excellent. No, read my post. Can you explain where we differ please, I am at a loss.

You have to be delusional to believe people are not of the understanding they are likely to die in the Wilderness. That is the trade off at Warbands. People know they are likely to die, and that if they don't, they'll receive a large amount of experience as a reward, saving big time and/or big money. EVEN THEN, people get mad. It's not because they didn't expect at some point to die, it's because of the supreme nature of the reward. I agree that the risk vs reward is fair, but it is still reasonable to be frustrated by it. XP could be cut in half or so to balance it at low levels. I think an expansion of the artisans workshop would make the skill easier on high levels. Maybe add another activity too. If mining gets a similar realignment, more rune rocks would have to be added and their respawn times would need to be decreased.

Via MCL on the HLF :wall: does he honestly think you need armor anywhere except like solo nex? Removing KC from gwd will make raw power much better then staying ability. Defense is useless, and with levels playing a bigger part, equipment defense should be even more useless then it is now. Does he have to think that? I think it's a good mechanic for high levels to use nex gear for general slayer and maybe some bosses that are meant for level 60 or 70 gear. It will have almost no defense and will provide good DPS. Then when they fight something that requires decent defense (Nex, QBD, KK), tank armor will be essentially required. I honestly doubt that Nex gear will suffice for GWD. You might have to use barrows at a minimum to stay for more than a few kills.

I still think that all equipment should be able to be smithed at the level required to wear it. For example, adamant armor should be able to be made at 40 smithing. Adamant plates shouldn't require a higher level than adamant knives. Then there's the opportunity to fill in the empty levels with all kinds of cool things, such as attachments and enchantments.
