It takes 4 ticks per ore at 100% accuracy (it's more like high 90s though), which means the max xp/hour of iron is 52.5k, so Dylan was lying about the xp rate. I remember doing some research on the accuracy and distribution of granite in the past, I don't have access to that atm though. It is over 55k xp/hour. I know that I approached 60k getting 99 mining there.

Maybe if you don't value melee xp at all, then knives would be better. Otherwise, it's better to melee them while cannoning for more accuracy and higher total xp/hour.

I'm aware you can "hit" a 0. Say your max hit is 29, you have a 1/30 chance of each number including 0 on an accurate hit. This is why at extremely low strength levels you still tend to hit a lot of 0's with high accuracy. So this slim chance is probably those. Ergo you do need to hit accurately to apply poison. This all changed with the constitution update, when hits were minimized at 1.

No. You don't use knives/darts anywhere and they're bad xp/hour to make. Make platebodies. If you want to make your own ammo, go hunt chins.

Platebodies offer the highest productivity if you want to diy. Of course, you shouldn't mine coal at all, but that's a different issue.

It's 10 ticks per cannonball, right? That's insanely slow. Don't do it. If you intend on doing a diy thing, then knives, darts, and bolts will be completely useless and cannoning isn't worth it if you have to make the balls. So just make plates.

@Ralph Would anyone even fight you if you did that? I personally wouldn't bother because it's extremely annoying.

Given that both players are equal in skill, i.e. both are just as good at timing when to eat and when to switch to a k.o. weapon, little remains that isn't determined by DPS. I have no interest in carrying this argument any further.

Ranged is less DPS than melee against other players, so it's not good in PVP outside of darkbow rushing. If you want to count that as a use, then sure, I'll allow it and admit that I was wrong. I don't think it really counts, though.

You don't chin until you're 99 slayer. You won't be less than 85 ranged by then, I promise. There is no reason to train ranged in 2007 except to get 99 in all skills, so you don't lose anything by waiting so long.
