The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
This is what I'm talking about. Small issues that will be hammered out later. It would be silly to release it before those issues are fixed. Some of them aren't even that small.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
Dear Jagex, You guys said that you read this thread in that livestream. Releasing EOC prematurely is the worst decision you could possibly make. That is all. Love, Meredith

No.... Kinda sad they aren't going to improve it anymore, the beta as it is now is not really... great IMO :? No. No. NONONONONO. Welp back to powerslaying :( 96/99 I'm in the same boat. Gotta get 96-99 in 13 days. Can I do it? Probably not. why exactly are you guys power levelling slayer? only reason i can think of is because EOC makes it un-afk-able Because I'm not spamming buttons for 65k xp/hour.

Blisterwood weapon mechanics
I don't know why it's hard for you to grasp that crits can be different for each weapon, they've done it before. The highest bonus is always the one taken into account, hence why no multipliers of the same type stack (think slayer helms and special attacks).

Blisterwood weapon mechanics
It wouldn't be difficult to code a critical hit and a min hit, unless their system is seriously retarded.

Void Setup for Bossing
Thus, we can assume the following, where A is the max attack roll, and D is the max defense roll: If the attack hits, the damage dealt must be determined. This is equal to the strength roll. The max strength roll can be determined with the following formulae: Max Strength Roll (MSR): The style variable can be filled with 3 for aggressive styles, or 1 for controlled styles. The void variable can be filled with 1.1 for melee and range. Round down one extra time if using void range. The prayer variable can be filled with the bonus listed in-game. The turmoil variable can be filled with 9 if turmoil is active. Next, multiply by bonus damage, as determined by Obliv: All of this information is nice, but we need a way put all of it together. The best way is using a unit called damage per second (DPS), which can be derived using the following formula: The AD (Average Damage) variable can be filled with MSR/2 or (MSR+1)/2. There is no way for us to know whether or not it is possible to roll a 0 on the strength die, due to the inability to achieve a -64 strength bonus. The CD (Cool Down) variable can be filled with the time (in seconds) between attacks. In general, void will be better than barrows. If you find yourself getting shit on, then try bandos. I've had success using void at every possible boss, but my stats are higher than yours.

I believe it just has a chance to hit a critical hit. Otherwise it does normal damage.- Slayer for melee xp
Just stick with a standard power slaying block list. You can melee ice strykes instead of maging them, but that's not applicable at your level.- It's Super Effective!

That would be harsh towards the people who loaf'd several months to get that requirement. And also, CW got unpopular/ruined when SW came around, the 5k Req just brought more (loafing) players to the game. That would assume Jagex actually cared about passed achievements. Hint: They don't. I don't think you can make an accusation like that, since you have no idea what goes on in their studio. They may be on the verge of nerfing the requirement, but haven't because of prior achievements. You don't know. - Blisterwood weapon mechanics
