  1. I actually kind of hope that this new forge ISN'T related to making dragon items, it just seems so superfluous. The amount of time it would take to smith them would be insane, and it just wouldn't be worth the trouble UNLESS some of the smithable items were unique e.g. dragon platebody/kitesheild. But even that would disappoint me slightly, I would hope it will be used for something more creative and unexpected. Then again, this forge might never be used... just left in there to taunt us....
  2. 10/10 simply just because you seem to be a fan of TSO, which is like the best band ever.
  3. Let me guess? You also like to flame "pray noobs"? Excuse people for using everything they have available. No I don't. I highly encourage using everything available. Unless you start using things in a matter for which they were NOT intended. Then it becomes bug abuse.
  4. The people who are saying that if we remove the ditch we might as well remove all safespots are misunderstanding the situation. THE DITCH IS NOT A NORMAL SAFESPOT. IT IS LIKE A FENCE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO INSTANTLY TELEPORT FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER. Ordinary safe spots require you to run around them. This means that you must use run energy to put yourself in the safespot and protect you from damage. If you have a safespot such as a fence, a meleer can run around and attack. This will 1.) let the meleer actually hit you for a moment before you get back into the safespot and 2.) make you use up run energy. Eventually you'll be out of run energy. But the wilderness ditch doesn't work like that. You just need to click and you hop over and are safe again. You don't use run energy, it takes no time. One click and you're safe. This isn't what Jagex wanted. This isn't how it should be. And I guarantee you that Jagex will be fixing this, because it is very clearly an exploit. Additionally, to the people who say that this isn't a problem because you can just pk somewhere else, someone who wants to pk in Edgeville should absolutely be able to do so without having to deal with bug abusers. Also, just because you can AVOID bug abusers doesn't mean you shouldn't deal with them anyways. You're basically suggesting that we surrender Edgeville to them and turn a blind eye. Finally, this isn't a strategy. It's got no thought involved in it. Running into a castle and shutting doors behind you to lose someone is strategy. Running around a fence to get a pursuer caught behind it allowing you to range them is a strategy. Both have a chance of failing, and both have risks involved. Mindlessly clicking on a ditch to teleport to safety over and over is NOT a strategy.
  5. I hate you for being a young whippersnapper.
  6. I wish the guide would have said this too. Obviously you can buy more gems from the gnome, but those gems can break, and if you get very unlucky (like I actually did) you'll run out of money buying new gems. I really think the guide should say, under the item requirements:
  7. I recently tried to get a second Salve Amulet for bank organization purposes, and that that experience showed me how poorly the quest guide aided those who needed to re-obtain a salve amulet, so I propose a new section be added to the quest guide. [hide=Getting another Salve Amulet]1. Pickpocket Zealot to get a Zealot's Key. 2. Head south and you should see a mining cart track heading into the mine. The track is blocked to the mine by a mining cart, climb over it and enter the mine. 3. Once inside, head west until you see a ladder close to another cart tunnel. Go down the ladder. 4. Go north-east and down the ladder there. Now go west, and down the ladder there, and you should see the mine cart from before. 5. Search it to find the fungus, and then go back up the ladder. Head east, and make your way to the ladder going down, watch out though, there's another cart moving around there! 6. Once you're down there, take the eastern road, and you should end up at a water valve. Make sure you have 80%+ energy left, and then use the Zealot's Key on the valve, after this, run into the lift and make it take you down. If you are not quick enough a ghost will turn the valve off again and you will have to head back and use the key on the valve again. 7. You should now be plunged in a chamber filled with water. Go east and down the stairs. In the middle of the room there's a crate with an "innocent looking key" on it. Take it. You will not be attacked again. 8. Go through the east door, up the stairs, west until you get to another set of stairs, go down these. 9. There's a large door on the south side, go in, and head south-east until you find some crystal outcrops. Cut some (using your chisel), and you've completed the quest. Note that if you drop shards as you cut them, you can get as many as you want, then pick them all up. If you want to enchant your Salve Amulet again, and you do not have Tarn's diary, you must navigate his lair again where it spawns in his study, or you can simply get it from your Player Own House's book case.[/hide] Note that most of the things I said are directly taken from the main quest guide, but re-arranged.
  8. I hate you for making me feel old...
  9. I spend several months domesticating and training the Kalphite Queen to allow me to ride her, and to understand a complex series of clicks and whistles which I use to command her. I take her to the King Black Dragon and totally wipe the floor with him. In the midst of the KBD-wiped floor I find a KBD-wiping soaked cheese. I take it and ride off into the sunset. On my giant beetle/wasp thing.
  10. I'm not saying that ranging over obstacles is bad, but this is no ordinary obstacle. Ordinarily its a wall, or a fence, or something like that. Something that can be ran around. They work well on monsters but it should be extremely difficult to keep an obstacle between you and another player, who's AI is a bit more advanced ;) It is, essentially, a fence that you can teleport across. When a player hops over to fight the ranger, the ranger hops back over. He uses no run energy, needs no special tactics, he just clicks and he's instantly out of reach again. Its not fair. And to all those who say "range back", he shouldn't HAVE to bring range or magic just to fight someone back if he doesn't want to, and to those who say "fight somewhere else", same deal. If he wants to fight in Edgeville, he sure as hell should get the opportunity to fight there without some feature abusing rangers or mages. Here's an idea: Don't pk near the wilderness ditch. If nobody is stupid enough to fall for that trick AND continue trying to catch the person as opposed to having half a brain and walking two feet out of their range, they won't do it. Yes the trick is easy to deal with, by running away, but that doesn't mean it should be left in the game. Its an exploit and should be removed!

  12. They really do need normal pictures because they will be putting winners in the Great Tip.It Picture of 08
  13. For people seeing a "skull" in the texture pattern on the grand exchange wall, here's a GIF showing all the other things you can see! And they're just a few. Its like seeing an inkblot. The image is symmetric, which could signal intent, but in all likelihood, Jagex just mirrored that part of the wall to save time and money that would have had to be spent to make another one separately. Because of this, the symmetry is irrelevant. To drive that point home, the last slide is that wall with one half of the symmetrical image covered up. In that image, all signs of a pattern vanish. In other words, BUSTED!
  14. You guys are completely missing the point of this thread.... you SHOULDN'T be able to range over the ditch. Period. No matter what. Its an exploit. You think Jagex wants people to be able to hop over a ditch over and over again to avoid you while they range? Its not like this is some ordinary safe spot. Also, he shouldn't have to range if he doesn't want to. So to all of you who say "OMG jsut r4ng3 bak!!!!E@1131" I say
  15. Er... I don't really know what an OP is... 1/10
  16. Banned for liking being strange, you weirdo.
  17. Not as stupid as TIF screenshots! -1/10
  18. I hate you for not looking it up in a dictionary, or perhaps going to Wikipedia.
  19. Its a pity a decent person didn't post, rather than a hypocritical one full of double standards. And im saying that without bias, its merely the truth.
  20. Obviously he were referencing the title of the thread! But he still sucks!!! : 6

  22. You did everything right, its just that PhotoBucket, in my experience, is a pretty poor image hosting site. Every time I see a broken image link, its a PhotoBucket image. I recommend using http://www.tinypic.com. Fast, easy, and I've never had a problem with it. ADDED
  23. I hate you because you like phallic jokes
