Of course not. Part of a relationship is understanding the reasons why you like to be with the other person. It's not simply a matter of sacrifices. If you don't know why you like to spend time with your significant other, it may as well be simple infatuation. As time goes on, you learn more and more about each other, and you come to appreciate the good traits as well as the bad. And for the record, I met her at a fencing competition.

Well, you tell me. I gave up trying to have sex with every cute girl I meet for the sake of my girlfriend. For her part, she gave up being so uptight about me checking out other girls every now and then. It's a wonderful relationship. We're secure enough about each other to let the little things slide. She knows I'll care for her no matter what, and vice versa. Plus she cooks good food.

That works in the short term, sure. However, it has this bad side-effect of leading him on to believe that if he wants a jolly little ego boost, he can always have a hissy fit and say he's going to kill himself. Hell, the few people who got me out of depression didn't do it by saying nice things and fluffy comforting words. They did it by making me feel like absolute crap, and giving a healthy dose of things to think about on the side. The best thing to do would be to show him that these cries for attention won't get him anywhere. If he wants people to like him, he's got to be likable, not some depressing little sot who's always whinging about something despite not actually having any problems.

Mate, if you read it, you should be able to see that he's highly unlikely to actually have problems, let alone kill himself. He thinks he's suicidal in the same way that "gangsta" kids think they're hardcore and oppressed.

Shall I make it brutally clear to you? Here: That doesn't sound like someone who's suicidal or depressed. That sounds like someone who's making up problems for himself to draw attention. Or perhaps milking the situation for sympathy and possibly sex. It's been done before...

Yes, I bloody well have. You know what advice got me through? "Go on, be miserable. Just don't make anyone else feel like crap about it." He's going through some tough times! Oh, that's gold. Hock's said that the kid's got it all. He's bloody well 15. Almost everyone and their dog thinks they're having an absolutely crappy life at 15, for whatever stupid reason. What tough time is he going through? Hock hasn't actually mentioned that anything bad has happened to him recently, besides the fact that he wants attention and for some reason doesn't think his girlfriend loves him enough. No reason anyone should be so blindly sympathetic towards the guy. From what I've read, he doesn't actually have a reason to be depressed.

You know what? Tell him he's a selfish arsehole. People in far, far worse situations than him have put up with life and taken it in stride. It sounds like your friend is just an attention-seeking prat who's insecure about his relationship, is bitter about it, and tries to make everyone miserable as a result. Maybe you should try and find out why he wants to continually reassure himself that his girlfriend loves him rather than just having enough faith in her to not need it. He has an attitude problem, as you've said. Maybe you should have a chat with him or his parents about that. Sure, he's allowed to be miserable, but nothing gives him the right to force the same on everyone else around him.

Yeah, they droop downwards a bit, but very few things have straight horns that you'd stick on a helmet. Also, I wasn't sure how the horns on Guthan's helm curve, so I just stuck with what I thought would fit in with the image.

True, the Revolution had been simmering for a good amount of time. However, World War I was the catalyst, what with Tsar Nicholas II's blunder after blunder - assuming personal command of the army, leaving Alexandra and Rasputin to work things out in Petrograd, among other moronic things. As well, World War I was the reason why Soviet Russia developed the way it did. If not for Germany having a go at Russia, there would have been no reason for Comrade Trotsky to make a mess of Brest-Litovsk, and thus less fuel for the fire that Stalin lit under his feet later. The Revolution could still have happened, but it would come later and it is unlikely that Soviet Russia would have developed as we know it.

If World War I hadn't happened, there likely would never have been a Soviet Russia, and by extension, neither would there be a communist China or Korea.

It's as much a danger to human life as every other provoked shark. The only way to stop them being a threat to surfers is to kill every last one of them. Now, do we exterminate mosquitoes because people die from malaria? Do we hunt down and kill every single wild animal that could possibly maul a human being? No, we don't. We accept that they're potentially harmful and we teach people not to piss them off. Let's hope that people learn something from this incident, like they should have every other damn time someone was attacked by a shark in WA.

Actually, there's virtually no detail at all. Everything you see is just slabs of colour with low opacity lineart. But from your reaction, I take it that the idea I have for my style is working: that you actually think there's detail even when there isn't. =P
