Hey, give them a break. They're letting thieves and muggers earn a living, you know.
  2. This was posted on the Off Topic board several months ago. Please bear in mind that the Varrock Library is only for literary works you yourself created.
  3. It looks vaguely familiar, but I can't really say who made it. It looks like a pixel work, but of extremely low quality. The text is also of poor quality compared to the rest of the piece. Judging by everything else, it should have been done in Photoshop or Gimp as well, rather than Paint.
  4. ... What? The less technologically-endowed past isn't the romantic, rosy-glow scene you see in trashy Hollywood movies. If you were in Europe, you had the plague and screaming barbarians to worry about, and each and every little community would be scared out of their breeches if a stranger or ten rides into town one day. People didn't need fancy technology to beat the everliving snot out of each other or to burn down houses. People didn't need mobile phones to be idiots and gossips and liars. Tell me, why don't you just run off and become Amish?
  5. Aquiline Unmanipulated. Photographed at Corregidor Island, Philippines, 12/06.
  6. You can actually use it as a wallpaper, as-is. =) Here's a version that you can use as a desktop background without having the text at the bottom being too much of an eyesore.
  7. Full view (deviantART link) On advice from Nadril, I figured out how to use strata. Also smoothed out the surface map, which I figured was too rough and bumpy last time. Leave your comments either here or on dA.
  8. Yes, of course, because clearly the army uses them on everyone, everyday, or plans to. God, don't people like you use your brains before hitting submit? Sweet robot ninja Jesus. It was less dangerous in the "good old days"?! Well, okay, if you consider screaming barbarian hordes and the plague to be less dangerous than mobile phones and cars...
  9. Terragen 2 can handle trees, but it absolutely annihilates this old relic of a computer. =P It's made using Terragen a 3D terrain rendering program. I'm not quite sure what you mean... There's plenty of mist.
  10. Source I'm even willing to ignore that typo in the fifth paragraph. Serbia now officially rocks.
  11. But you do know that it's just a front for He Who Crushes His Foes, the Great Overlord, Imperator John Howard, Devourer of Souls, Destroyer of Dreams, Master of Space and Time, right? The time will come when He shall lead the Great Empire of Australia to victory over the universe.
  12. I have Muslim friends who can argue for their beliefs much better than that ROBOSRUS guy can. Mainly because they're not just sticking their fingers in their ears and screaming "LA LA LA THE WEST IS FULL OF LIES NOBODY COMMITS TERRORISM IN THE NAME OF ALLAH THERE ARE NO SUCH PEOPLE AS CRAZED FUNDAMENTALISTS WHO MISINTERPRET THE QU'RAN!". Insha Allah, may you find salvation in your ignorance and hypocrisy.
  13. That hypothetical affects a LOT of variables, especially since it can apply to four or so years of schooling where studying actually mattered somewhat. The opportunity cost of time would affect my social life, independent research and learning, hobbies, sports, formation of opinion and eating patterns, among any number of other things. If I had studied more, I would have spent less time on the internet, and thus I wouldn't have been able to devote the time I have to my literary pursuits - as a greater focus on academics would have caused me to develop different interests. A change that affects even a month's worth of decisions can change all the variables. The further back in time it is, the more variables are susceptible to change as well. Change too much, and, well, there go all the experiences that define who I am now.
  14. I stop procrastinating and get around to writing new material for my work in progress D&D campaign setting. While listening to Manowar. If my girlfriend's around, she helps me relax as well. The food she cooks is great.
  15. Okay, I think I'm getting back into the groove of things... Full view Comments, please. Either here or on dA...
  16. There would be too many variables that could be affected by any change I might make. I don't want to run the risk of suddenly having never slept with a woman.
  17. Your ability to grasp the subtleties of international politics and world opinion astounds me.

I... wish I did... Anyway, ragging on Jews has never actually been a problem within my group. We've got a rabid Israeli Jew and we crack jokes about Hitler and candles around him every now and then, and he just responds by bringing up embarrassing things like Chiang Kai Shek and DDR.
  19. Link should realise that Zelda's pretty high maintenance. He should dump the silly woman and date someone who doesn't need saving every few hours. I bet she doesn't even put out for him.
  20. It's not so much the religion's fault as it is a bunch of idiots' with a ridiculous interpretation of a religious text. I have nothing against Islam. Just fundamentalists.
  21. What's the exact topic? And that's three minutes? Sheesh, you must talk really slowly.
  22. I'd change FFX-2 to "Worst Title Ever".
  23. Aerobiz. Words cannot express what a waste of time downloading that ROM was.
  24. Ding ding! We have a winner! Offending religious people seems to be a big no-no in the Western world, for whatever convoluted reason.
  25. This fails on an epic level to surprise me.
