  1. Surely Bubsa speaks of weapons that use the deadly 9mm round!
  2. According to the NSW WEAPONS PROHIBITION ACT 1998, you may not carry the following prohibited weapons:
  3. "Why, good sir, it appears that you are injured and in possession of some phat lewt. Allow me to forcefully relieve you of it." "I say! I appear to be helpless at the moment. Please let me escape with my phat lewt which you can forcefully relieve me of with great ease!" "Oh, yes, sir, you are right. Here, have some of my food before I attack, because otherwise it wouldn't be sporting, old chap!" "Jolly good!" "Quite."
  4. Is it defending itself and rushing at you with a broadsword? That's what I was going to get at. I agree with this. That's the point. Runescape characters hold their bow in their right hand and pull with their left, and Roman-style, at that (pulling back to the chest, with the elbow down). No wonder the arrows travel so slowly and with such a pathetic arc.
  5. ... Which would be handled by the player actually moving the character and stopping to shoot every now and then? Because you can't actually shoot a bow properly while trying to run. The mechanic's already in place for that. What I was originally saying was that giving bonuses for shooting someone up close doesn't make any sense. And would it kill JAGeX to put the bow in the left hand? I mean it's fairly obvious that the characters are all depicted as right-handed, what with swinging melee weapons with their right hand. Why make them left-handed when using a bow?
  6. Have you ever tried to lead a shot on a dodging target two feet away, while trying to avoid being gutted? Yeah, I thought so. There's a reason (beyond armour) why archers historically stayed out of close combat, or pulled out knives and axes if it couldn't be avoided. It's because it's damned hard to land a good hit on something that's moving really fast in your face. I wouldn't mind if they made the arrows travel through the air faster, though. Right now it looks like you're shooting with a loose string.
  7. Art for D&D... Full view (deviantArt link) Comments please.
  8. Why does the plate armour look like styrofoam?
  9. Doesn't make sense. It's easier to hit a target that's closer, but past a certain point, the target becomes too close to aim at properly, especially if they're moving. If anything, ranged attacks should be penalised once in melee range.
  10. The pace needs a lot of work... Suspension of disbelief is very shaky. One moment he's in the fields, and then suddenly he's on the street to watch someone run through the town gate? He's a farm boy - why wasn't he out working at the crack of dawn? Why is his sister playing in the fields instead of helping her mother do chores? There's always work to be done at a farm, and no time to waste. I find it hard to see the undead as menacing at all. You only give vague descriptions of what is happening, and don't convey any sort of mood. The plot so far is also rather clicḫ̩̉̉, what with the "boy loses parents and gets mentored by a great warrior" schtick. There just isn't enough description to engage the reader, and you fail to use paragraphs to separate different ideas and dialogue. Work on that, and try to make it more believable.
  11. I would compose an epic poem about how everyone sucks but me. Then I'll find some way to fire it off into space. Then I'll play Dawn of War until I go insane. Maybe I'll have a laugh at all the landscape that gets glassed because nobody's maintaining power plants. And if the internet's still up and running, hey... There are plenty of naughty sites I haven't been to yet, and there's a lot of Kleenex in the world.

  13. Does play by post Dungeons and Dragons count? Because I do that all the time.

Well, there's an absurd interpretation of Schr̮̦̉̉dinger's cat if I've ever seen one. There can't be two cats in the box simply because the variable allows for two states of the cat's existence. It should be a dead cat OR a living cat, but you don't know until it's observed. Assuming there are two when you know there's only one, but that can be in one of two different states, is a crime unto logic. This is like saying that if you put a cat into a bag which only has enough space to contain it and nothing else, and then look away, there will suddenly be two cats which cannot fit in the bag because one will be alive and the other dead.

  16. You forgot an apostrophe and a full stop in your last sentence. Also, you need to capitalise the first letter of every sentence. Oh, by the way, it's spelt "spelt". Moving along... My friends and I always pay for our own. We're all intelligent enough to know how much we have to pay, so getting separate bills isn't an issue. If nobody has anything less than a $20, then we just pay some large amount and divvy up the change after that. With my girlfriend, she always insists on splitting the bill even though I eat much more than she does. Not that I complain.

  19. Stick it in a hole in the middle of a rocky desert with minimal tectonic activity, preferably none. Problem solved.

Every Monday night I put on armour with a bunch of other guys and we beat the everliving crap out of each other with wooden swords. That's practical bodybuilding.
  21. The minute someone tells me that they have no compunctions against murder because of emotional detachment, I know that they're just trying to act tough. You know why? Because someone who actually does won't feel the need to tell you.
  22. Yea, that Kangaxx fight was a [bleep]. Damn nice rewards though. I remember trying to take Firkraag out the first time there aswell, around lvl 9 or so hehe, took me a few tries, but IIRC I managed to take him out. Kangaxx has nothing on those god damned Sigillians you fight behind the rogue stone portal in the bridge district.
  23. How are you filling two pages (assuming A4) with that?
  24. I'll take you seriously the minute you post a video of you killing someone in cold blood. Quit while you're behind.
