If player housed DID come out...
I could see it now... A thief creeps up to the house in the dead of night, picking the lock on the front door open in a few minutes. He sneaks into the doorway, looking this way and that in case the city guard happens to be around. He's aware of every sound in the dark building. He begins to creep over to where the valuables might be... Then his foot snags a wire and a cow falls on top of him.

What type of sig i this classed as?
Don't draw things as you see them in Runescape. It's one of the cardinal sins.

Elv wasn't being rude. We seem to be going through another period where Media Discussions is flooded by poorly-made "pixel art." Here's some advice for the original poster: Don't save as .jpeg. Work with a pencil before moving onto MSPaint or whatever it is you use to make "pixel art."

What type of sig i this classed as?
I won't lie to you. To answer the question in the topic name, it can be classified as "crap." Honestly, you should learn to draw. It's easy to assume that your oh-so-intimidating warrior is holding two red-painted rectangular THINGS. Not only that, but what I can only assume is his shield is being held presumably with his hand. Also, he appears to be wearing a skin-tight teal outfit stretched over a particularly unfit body. And he wears goggles. Here are some points for you to note: - A shield straps to your forearm. - A helmet has eye slits and breathing holes, or a general-purpose opening. No goggles. - Plate mail is made from PLATES of metal fitted over each other to provide protection. Plate mail is NOT made from one piece of metal stretched over your skin. - You do not wear a WAIST BELT with plate mail armour. Such belts are for CLOTHING. - You do not hold a sword like that, because you're disgustingly open to attack. - Swords are not rectangular. - Sword hilts are not flat prisms. - It is utterly stupid to wear an amulet that hangs that low over plate mail. I'm tired of having to look at these kinds of pictures. If you're going to attempt to depict someone in armour or wielding weaponry, for the sake of whatever gods you worship, get it right. Don't just make some cheap latex suit knockoff and hope it's going to make you instantly rich. Now, to your technique. - Poor shading. Use more (and better) colours to bring out curves. Note that some curves are TOO pronounced, like the incredulously fat torso. - The focus takes up far too much space. There isn't enough room for a decent background or even to see any particular details. - The focus is centred. Observe the rule of thirds and phase it off to one side or the other. A focus in the centre of a picture degrades the image as a whole. - Background needs a LOT of work. Add trees, grass, clouds, etc., but only after you reduce the size of the focal character. Lasty, please, PLEASE, PLEASE stay away from referencing Runescape graphics. They're so overused and BORING.

Sorcerer magic
Affirmative. It's hard to guess, seeing as how I DO have a 20-sided die in my avatar. For reference, I normally play arcane casters.

Sorcerer magic
I wrote something up similar to this idea some time ago. Run a search on "spontaneous magic" and you can feel free to expand on it.

VERY extensive idea for Player owned Ships and sea battles
This is a wonderful idea. You might, however, want to make the "sea wilderness" incredibly large. Hidden coves to repair in, areas with dense fog, stormy seas, and the ever-present requirement of having a good navigator on board. You might make it so you can outfit each cannon with different types of ammunition. Say you had a single cannon on the port side of your ship, and you stocked it with fifteen standard cannonballs, five explosive shells (slow-burning fuse lit when fired), and five sets of grapeshot. Standard cannonballs would deal their damage to the ship itself; explosive shells would deal slightly more damage with the addition of damaging any crew members near the point of impact; and grapeshot would be used primarily to foul up the enemy's rigging, hampering their speed and possibly dropping anyone above to the deck. Visibility should be an issue as well. A crow's nest would allow a crew member to see further than anyone else below. Fog should be a problem in some areas, but it should allow for easier ambushes. There should also be firing platforms above the deck for archers or crossbowmen, allowing for greater range. For steering the ship, the wheel should only set the heading, and there should be a clickable option on each sail to make the ship move faster or slower, to avoid the problem of people not knowing how to trim sails and such. To be able to fire on an enemy ship, a broadside of your ship must be facing them, or in the event of a sailboat, whichever way your crew aims the cannon. A ship's navigator would be a blessing, as his or her main job is to stay below and consult a chart (can be bought - the more expensive the chart, the better). He can then relay to the helmsman optimal courses or oncoming dangers. The chart would have a small dot that indicates the position of the ship. There would also be an option to add your own markers on the chart to make finding your private stashes easier. Of course, if the crew abandons ship, the navigator would REALLY want to take the ship's charts with him, so the enemy can't find your stashes of loot. Areas with favourable winds could also be marked. Of course, all this means that the crew will have to trust each other, and more importantly, work together. A good crew will obey the captain's commands (morale and discipline would be an issue) in order to survive longer. Lastly, each ship above lifeboat class should have a name. Thus, there may come a time when every sailor on Runescape fears the Albatross or the Red Crusher, because of its reputation for killing enemy crews and sinking their ships. Others may want to hunt down some ships because of a reputation of wealth. With ship costs being high, and ships being constantly sunk, availability of names shouldn't be a problem.

hi kan som1 help me????...
Error: Searched string is an oxymoron. And honestly, TWO words with the correct spelling in that entire sentence, and one of them was "a." I used to think a lot of Kiwis were literate...

Rate this pixel please
Im sorry i dont quite get wat your saying. To make decent pixel art, you need at least some knowledge of how to draw. If you can't understand what kingcomet32 meant, perhaps this isn't the medium of art for you at the moment. Basically, people are out of proportion with their surroundings, and the viewing angle is almost nonexistant. It looks like everything is a mix of being flat and semi-3D.

How many people can write Ambidextrous ??
I can only write with my right hand. I can use both hands in basketball and both feet in soccer. I can also fence with either hand, so that's a bonus in case I break an arm or sprain a wrist.

my avatar and sig make over
Just because you're being criticised doesn't give you the right to be vocal about your bitterness toward other peoples' signatures. Get over yourself. If you didn't think it was that good, why make a big deal out of it?

You CAN'T be serious. I thought we removed your kind from this board a while ago...

gold longsword
I don't care if it's an RPG. It's a stupid idea. If someone suggested than in D&D, they'd slap themselves silly for even thinking about using the thing in combat. Just because it's a game doesn't give it license to be "creative" to the point of stupidity.

gold longsword
Do you have ANY idea how soft gold is compared to steel? Take a coin made from solid gold - you can, quite literally, chew it.

New signature for me!
*Blink blink* Zelda?

Does wearing pink make you gay?
To ignore any semblances of argument that could have cropped up, I'd just like to refute the original topic with this: Would wearing combat fatigues make you a soldier?
- Best RPG?

New signature for me!
Actually, that's not a half-bad idea...

New signature for me!
It's probably not up to par with a lot of the sigs on this board, but I personally like it. The whole thing only really took an hour or so to do. Took me twenty minutes to compose the haiku. :? Comments?

Roleplay - The Chronicles of Orsia
"Methinks the good master has agreed," says Ardan to the dwarf. "If you care to, we will set out with the dawn." "That'll be for the best, master Ardan," says Tortric as he sets down another mug of ale for Braden. "Your horse is still being attended to, though your spare is ready to ride." "Well and good, master Tortric," says the bard. To Braden and Jerod, he says, "I shall meet you gentlemen here in the morning."

My complaint about JaGex
There wasn't really an argument in there, per se, so I didn't really take it seriously even before I read the disclaimer at the end. After that, it for some reason sounded like an Illuminati plot.

I can't see sigs, avatars and BBCode...
Ah, that clears it up. Thanks.

I can't see sigs, avatars and BBCode...
As the topic says, I fired up TIF this morning and found that I couldn't see anyone's sig or avatar, and BBCode tags are all muddled up with random characters. I'm not sure if this is a problem with my computer or the forum itself, but it is a little strange and I'd like to see it fixed quickly.

The background should be white instead of black
A light shade of grey would work better.
