dungeones and dragons
They streamlined the skills, rebalanced classes and spells, added some feats, changed the names of a few combat maneouvres and basically overhauled the game so it works a little smoother. That, and every supplement they release nowadays is for 3.5. Man I'd love to play in the Living Greyhawk campaign... Better get myself an RPGA membership.

dungeones and dragons
I really didn't like the "expanding" quality of the Fireball spell in 2e. That was hell in small, connecting rooms. Besides, I like the fact that all classes advance at the same rate, instead of having independent XP tables for each one. I also like the idea of Prestige Classes better than Kits, even though PrCs now are pretty much just tools to boost power rather than to actually represent membership in a specific organisation. I'm trying to get my group to realise that, but eh...

Closer Combat
Should've mentioned that earlier. The sword is an extra lightsource, and Shai-var have an innate racial ability to absorb small amounts of light around themselves, causing most of their shadows to form in every direction, even against the light.

New signature by Misterxman.
I just don't see the majesty in that dragon. It really should be bigger. Also, I know it's Misterxman's style, but I think the skull profile is too pronounced. Also, the dragon looks pretty much bipedal, since it has no forelegs, only the hind legs and alar limbs. Might be a style consideration there. The griffon (not hippogriff - those are half-horse, this one's half-lion) looks like it's just standing there, maybe the legs should have been tucked underneath the torso or something. The unicorn/horned pegasus looks a little out of place, probably shouldn't have it in there. The background's awesome as usual, but the clouds on the right seem a little too defined. The character looks flat, as has been said before. He either has no groin, or the worst wedgie imaginable.

why should students wear school uniforms?
I like my uniform. It allows me to act like an officious git of a senior student towards the little junior kiddies. There's also the awesomeness of having "2nd Grade Fencing, 2005" right underneath the breast pocket of the blazer. Next year, it'll be 1st Grade Fencing, 2006 as well as a little something for music, and I'll be leaving school knowing that I represented my school in extracurricular activities. You just don't get that with casual clothing. Nobody knows if you do anything worthwhile when all you wear is the latest trendy (read: conformist) clothing.

Closer Combat
Made this with Photoshop 7, intending to use it as art for my original Dungeons and Dragons campaign setting book. Depicted characters are an Inquisitor of the Golden Flame and a Shai-var Monk. Comments are welcome.

dungeones and dragons
I regularly play 3.5e, and I like it a lot more than the other editions I've played. 2nd edition had a steep learning curve and unnecessarily complex rules for AC, saves and stat-based bonuses. THAC0 was a disaster in my eyes. And come on, Save vs. Wands? 3rd edition was a marked improvement with the simplification of the whole system and the introduction of the d20 license and the fact that the D&D franchise was no longer under the control of TSR. There were redundant skills and outright broken spells (Haste), but it was better than 2e. Pete, the multiclassing system they have now allows for more versatility and more character development opportunities. In 2e, you were pretty much stuck with what you started off as, regardless of what happened to your character. Now, your human rogue might discover some talent for sorcery, then after a near-death experience involving arcane magic, decide that serving the gods is the way to go. You just couldn't do that in previous editions without house-ruling. Computer-based RPGs using any D&D ruleset are crap. They remove some of the best aspects of the game, like hyper-creative thinking, heavy role-playing and outright interesting spells. I mean, I could have found so many ways to efficiently beat Neverwinter Nights if it was a tabletop module. There's no fun in playing a Wizard in CRPGs because all the fun non-combat-but-can-be-used-creatively spells are usually taken out, like Wall of Stone, Transmute Rock to Mud, Transmute Mud to Rock, Explosive Runes... I've gone off on a tangent here, so I'll stop. For the record, I'm currently playing a human evoker/plane shifter.

Dumbledore or Yoda?
Dumbledore cannot cast spells if he can't speak or wave a wand. Using the Force is a faster process than casting a spell from a wand. The Force can be used to choke, disarm or pin someone's movements from a distance. Ergo, Yoda wins.

Something that could bring in the gureilla warfare tatic
Really, you don't need new items to be able to use guerilla tactics in the Wilderness. All you need are a group of people who can follow orders.

Something that could bring in the gureilla warfare tatic
Set up two firing lines of archers. The front line shoots to attract the enemy and falls back as the second line covers their retreat. Repeat ad infinitum. For better results, assign another squad of archers to act as flankers, and keep them out of sight until the enemy has passed a certain point, then they move in and take the rear. When enough casualties have been dealt, scatter and harass at will. There. Instant cut-the-enemy-to-pieces guerilla tactics.

Deep Throat revealed!!
You know too much. Ninjas have been deployed and your home is surrounded by snipers. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

My views on Honor
If you're not prepared to accept surrender or agree not to attack someone because they're defenseless, don't babble about honour. A lot of you confuse "honour" with "idiocy," and it's your own fault if your victims always escape you. There's no dishonour in teleporting away or logging out - if you couldn't kill them first, then it's within their rights to escape. Besides, there aren't any rules in the Wilderness. Don't yammer on about honour when there aren't rules to adhere to.

The Legend of the Forum - [~3 Characters Needed!]
I've got most of it, but it's missing the last few parts. It's 78 pages on a 10pt font, though...

looking for sum 1 to make me a pixel...
*Yawn* It's orders like these that ensure the downward spiral of signature quality on these boards. Everyone seems to want to look like every other sod with the same "ubar-1337" equipment and concept. For crying out loud, both artists and customers need to work on their imagination a bit more. Seeing the same full-dragon-with-x-weapon or full-black-dragonhide-with-x-weapon combination constantly is a little trite. To add to that, these things almost always involve some sort of combat, and it's all just so BORING. You might as well take an existing sig and slap a different name on it. Everything's the same... It's all so generic.

Rate my 5th pixel please lol?
That's the thing. You shouldn't HAVE to reference graphics from ANY game. It's supposed to be art, for crying out loud. Be creative!

Rate my 5th pixel please lol?
Plate armour. Not aqua-coloured clothing. Please don't use Runescape's graphics as a reference. They're so boring, overused and not exactly aesthetically pleasing.

SUICIDE OPTION!!! NOT ANOTHER "HORSES IN RUNESCAPE IDEA
You want to REWARD people for committing suicide? Are you nuts? Do you have any idea how many idiot children will play this and get the impression that suicide is rewarding? Granted, it'd help solve the population problem and weed out the dumb ones, but moral issues like that can come another time... Oh yeah. JAGeX would also cop some flak if they implemented something like this. Just an afterthought.

Hard Leather Chaps
Oh yeah, and a flexible pullover metal garment and matching pants give protection just because they're coloured light blue? And one-handed double-bit battle axes? Don't call up JAGeX on realism.

u guys like my work?
Points to note: - The bowstring is loose. It needs tension. - The bow is too short. Just because it's a shortbow doesn't mean it has to be tiny. - Arrow trajectories don't look like they came from the same bow. - The archer's fingers on his left hand look like they're stuck together. - Bows are held with your left hand and arrows with your right, unless you're left-handed. - You never shoot a bow while facing your target. Lead with the bow-arm, please. - Archer's muscles are too defined. Try to bring them out using shading instead of lines. - Helmet looks like it has no way of being taken off or put on. - Armour looks like a pullover with shoulder pads. Work on making it look more like plate mail. - Same deal with the leg armour. Pants. Use plates. - Feet are a wee bit small.

Rate this Sig Please
Looks like someone added drop shadows on Photoshop and decided to call it pixel art.

Should you judge music by it's fans?
I dress in black, but that's owing more to the fact that I look a lot better in black than anything else. I'm proud to say I'm the only person I know who openly carries a bag of polyhedral (4-, 6-, 8-, 10-, 12- or 20-sided) dice around. Music-wise, I absolutely detest rap for the idiotic concept that it is, and I like pretty much anything else with the exception of punk, though I'm partial to soft rock and J-Pop. I'm cool with classical music as well. I'm the senior flautist at my school.

Weapon Improvements
I said "morningstars," not "flails." Flails don't have to be a ball and chain attached to a shaft, either. It can be a shaft with a metal rod attached by a hinge, or a cylindrical shaft attached to another with a chain. Remember that flails were derived from tools used for threshing grain.

Weapon Improvements
We HAVE morningstars. JAGeX calls them "maces." :x Honestly, the whole "[Metal] [Equipment name]" system bores me to death. Can't we have more standalone equipment that doesn't belong to a specific set? I'd like to see some lower-level standalone equipment, because to be honest, it's terribly boring to just use a different coloured piece of equipment as your levels rise.

issue on da Rune scimitar & Rune longsword(which 1 is be
Prove it using data from real world fights. That is impossible. In a real-world fight, it's not about the weapon but the user's skill with the weapon. Here are the facts for each weapon. LONGSWORD Pro: - Longer reach by about a foot - Can be used to pierce - Heavier pommel, can be used when inside the opponent's reach - Easier to defend with due to a straight, constant blade Con: - Not as good as a dagger or rapier in piercing - Longer reach makes it a little more cumbersome SCIMITAR Pro: - Smaller, thus more maneouverable - Curve allows you to focus kinetic energy on the point of impact - Can be used to pierce Con: - Not as good as a dagger or rapier in piercing - Smaller size makes the reach shorter - Smaller size makes it easier to disarm or damage with a heavier weapon (such as a longsword) CONTEXTUAL - Scimitars were often used from horseback in Asia Minor, while the saber, a heavier mix of a longsword and a scimitar, was used in Europe - Scimitars are often used without a shield or heavy armour, in order to maximise mobility - In contrast, longswords were often used with shields or heavy armour, to emphasize the defensiveness of the weapon and to make use of the sword's reach while mitigating the enemy's - Longswords were more readily available, due to the availability of raw materials and skilled labour. Note that "readily available" only applied to people who could afford it - Back to combat, the areas in which scimitars were used did not lend themselves to heavy cavalry or armoured infantry. Thus, it was more efficient to use a light weapon that could deal damage from its design rather than its weight. In places where longswords were more common, cavalry and infantry were significantly heavier and better protected, thus necessitating a heavier blade Going by these points, the longsword and scimitar are roughly on the same level as each other. I don't see why the speeds should differ, because weapon balance is the only factor besides the wielder's strength that should affect attack speed. A greatsword can attack as quickly as a longsword in the right hands, and daggers are the thinking man's weapon, rather than a machinegun-jabbing piece of steel.
